Snoqualmie Falls
Snoqualmie is an Indian word meaning "moon". The waterfall has a drop of 270 feet. The upstream water source is the melted snow from the snow-capped mountains. The water source is abundant and falls all year round. The scenic spot is free. This time I saw that parking is charged $5, but the parking lot across the road is free. It takes about half an hour to drive from Seattle. There is a very short trail to the bottom of the valley, and you can see the hydroelectric power station and the river along the way. It is late autumn, and the leaves of various colors are gorgeous. Because of the rainy climate characteristics of Seattle, this is a temperate rain forest, and the trees are covered with moss. You can also see small mushrooms and Ganoderma lucidum.
