Bintan is one of the islands of Indonesia, the larger of the Riau Archipelago, and the larger city of the island is Tanjung Pinang in the southwest. Because Bintan Island is very close to Singapore and there are many resort hotels, it has become the back garden of Singaporeans for vacation and leisure. Because of its geographical location close to the equator, Bintan Island is sunny all year round, with an average annual temperature of around 26 degrees. The sea is clear and blue, the beach is white, and the marine ecology is quite rich. The island has lush green tropical plants, long silver sandy beaches, turquoise waters and various resort hotels. The resort hotels on the island have complete leisure facilities. The Bintan tourist area in the north has dozens of famous resorts. Each resort hotel has its own beach. The attached marine sports center can provide tenants to engage in various activities. A variety of marine activities such as windsurfing, rubber dinghies, diving, fishing, canoeing and banana boating are available. Little Bintan Island has three golf clubs with completely different styles. Whether beginners or advanced players, they can swing against the sea breeze on the green field. It is a pilgrimage place for golf lovers. There are different package options such as 1-day or 3-day golf on the island, and the cost includes round-trip transfers between the resort and the golf course, club rental fees, private guidance, etc. The mysterious night tour of the mangroves is also an unmissable travel experience on the island. In the cool night, along the Simeng River, countless fireflies are flying among the mangroves. These fluorescent lights and the stars in the night sky reflect each other. It is a rare forest experience to feel integrated with nature. In addition, Bintan Island also has a unique Kuilong Sea Restaurant, where you can enjoy a seafood feast while blowing the sea breeze. In the evening, you can also enjoy the sunset in the distance and the band performance in the restaurant. The spicy fried crab is especially recommended, and the resort has a shuttle bus to reach it.Bintan · 13.3 km from downtown

Glide through mangrove channels as darkness envelops your vision. Suddenly, the first green spark ignites on a branch, then thousands of living stars cascade through the trees. Their bioluminescent glow reflects on the black water, mirroring the Milky Way above. In the profound silence broken only by dipping oars, your heartbeat becomes the soundtrack to this magic. This ethereal spectacle melts all worries away, returning you to the wonder of childhood summers.Indonesia · Bintan

The Golden Sand Dunes were places where gold was mined during the colonial era of Indonesia. After a long period of time, the mud and depressions dug up by the gold rush have become a beautiful landscape. If Bintan Island is known as "a place more secluded than heaven, a pure land more blissful than the world", then "Golden Sand Dunes" must be a more primitive natural environment and a slightly commercial embodiment. The peculiar thing about the golden dunes is that the dunes change color with the refraction of sunlight. Looking around, it looks like a golden desert. The rolling sand dunes are dotted with small lakes one by one. The lake water is blue, like emeralds embedded in the dunes.Bintan · 22.5 km from downtown

The speedboat service from Bintan Island to Singapore is punctual, the cabins are well-maintained, and the seats are comfortable. The journey takes about an hour; there may be some rocking when the sea is rough, so those prone to seasickness should bring their own medication. The boat has restrooms and a small shop, and the sea views are expansive throughout the journey. Boarding and immigration procedures are well-organized, and the overall travel experience is smooth and convenient.

You have to pay to enter and avail yourself of the resort's attractions and features. The entrance fee includes the right to swim in their cool blue pool. I also tried kayaking down the mangrove river. The guide assured me there are no crocodiles since the resort makes a monthly sweep of the area. Mangroves are natural habitats of crocodiles, though so I hope no crocodiles were harmed in this process and the ones who were here before the resort was built were rehomed somewhere as sweet. I debated whether to do the kayak or not. Cost was a factor but actually it ended up being worth it for me. The river was so serene and it was an introduction to a sport that I discovered I liked. Learned a lot about mangroves, too, from the guide. Better appreciation of nature and as I said, hopefully all parties (animals included) are better off in the long haul. Lastly, the pool was cool. Not a lot of people it seems because the pool is huuuuuge and there are lifeguards. Facilities like the shower and toilet need maintenance or upgrade. Some toilets seemed unusable for a while, a couple of sinks were broken and there's no where to hook your stuff (clothes, toiletries, towel) as you take a shower

Bintan Danau Biru (Blue Lake) and Desert (Sand Danes) offer a truly breathtaking experience. Despite being artificial, the pristine Blue Lake captivates with its stunning view, making it a fantastic photo stop. The journey to this hidden gem is well worth it, as the lake's beauty leaves an indelible mark on your soul. There are also ATV cars to be rented and photos taking with real eagles. However, the hot and humid weather caused by the bright sun can be a major setback, making the heat unbearable at times. Overall, whether you're visiting solo or with loved ones, Blue Lake is a must-see destination that promises an unforgettable and rejuvenating experience in Bintan.
