There is a famous ancient temple on the hillside of Huilong Mountain - Huilongxian Temple, which was built in 190 AD. With the introduction of Buddhism in the Eastern Han Dynasty, Huilongxian Temple became a temple integrating Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism, with more than 500 monks, Taoists and Confucianists. Due to the high mountains and lack of water, it gradually became impossible to accommodate too many monks. During the Western Jin Dynasty, some monks and Taoists found a blessed land in Hengshan and built another temple. After the Tang Dynasty monk "Amitabha" Shi Quanzhen realized the truth and became a Buddha in Huilongxian Temple when he was a teenager, he began to travel around to preach and spread the Dharma, so ancient books record Huilongxian Temple as "Ancient Nanyue". On the top of Huilong Mountain, there is an ancient and mysterious fairy peak - the Heavenly Sacrifice Platform, which is also the original site of the legendary Yan Emperor's offering sacrifice to the sky. According to legend, when Yan Emperor was on a southern tour, he climbed Huilong Mountain and looked around. He saw auspicious clouds and winding peaks like a dragon. So he chiseled stones to build the Heavenly Sacrifice Platform, and set up an altar on the sixth day of the sixth lunar month every year to offer sacrifices to the sky, to protect the weather, peace and prosperity of the country and the people.
