You can really feel China's long history; you can see ancient trees planted as early as the Western Zhou Dynasty and ancient buildings from the Tang and Song Dynasties. It's quite interesting to walk around and look at things. It's a pity that such a great attraction doesn't have more interactive programs.
I recommend hiring a guide when visiting Jinci Temple; otherwise, it's just a rushed tour of the park and not very interesting. There's a third-party company affiliated with the scenic area at the entrance that provides guided tours.

This is my second time here, this time with my three-year-old. Since we've never seen such a large beach before, we had a lot of fun. However, for adults, the other activities are all paid, so the value for money isn't quite right.
Today, Ordos is increasingly green, and it's rare to find such a small patch of desert left for tourists to experience. There are plenty of recreational activities, and the service is generally good. My summer trip was long ago, but the dark clouds and lightning over the desert during the thunderstorms remain vividly in my memory.

The tickets I booked for the children were very convenient; we entered by scanning a QR code. "Of the nine strategic passes under heaven, Yanmen Pass is the foremost," and today we are at Yanmen Pass. Just as we arrived at the entrance of the scenic area, at the wall of famous figures and the statue of the Yang family generals, the park was playing "Eternal Chang'an City," which made me feel a little sentimental.
Police officers and seniors over 60 get in for free; we only bought children's tickets. After buying the tickets, we just needed to swipe our ID cards to enter, which was very convenient. It got cold, too windy, and too cold, so we didn't go far and went back.

Taiyuan Botanical Garden is a landmark building in Taiyuan. I went there and it was really beautiful! We went during the Dragon Boat Festival, and it was especially beautiful. All kinds of animals and plants were incredibly gorgeous. There's also the famous giant elevator, which is very attractive and great for taking photos. It was absolutely fantastic!
A plant paradise beyond expectations! The rainforest pavilion is lush and green, while the desert plant pavilion exudes exotic charm. The most stunning view is undoubtedly from the observation deck at dusk. With the lights on, the dazzling lights illuminate the exquisite silhouettes of the buildings and gardens—the night view is simply breathtaking! This is definitely a treasure trove for taking photos, family outings, and relaxation—worth visiting again and again!

It was cold, but the performers were very professional. I was deeply moved by the iron flower performance in the end. The background music was amazing, and the iron flower performance was full of sincerity. The process was well designed, and the staff were all very dedicated!
It's currently the off-season for tourism, and the Prince Dai's Mansion is offering a three-day unlimited entry health check. A one-zhang (approximately 3.3 meters) ticket was valid for two nights. The evening performances are highly recommended; the dance performances and folk costume displays are excellent. The iron-smelting performance, in particular, is a breathtaking experience, allowing visitors to witness this intangible cultural heritage firsthand. It's beautiful, vibrant, and captivating. 👍👍👍

Perhaps because of the rain, there weren't many people. It's a small ancient town with almost no interactive activities. There were only a few shows, which weren't as good as the online reviews suggested. The food at the small shops was expensive and mediocre. More importantly, while it's a half-hour taxi ride there, it took ages to get back. I finally managed to get a shared ride, but they wouldn't even charge extra. Transportation is inconvenient. The 98 yuan entrance fee only covered the night view.
I love this place so much! I haven't had enough fun this time. The ancient buildings and museums are amazing. I learned a lot and experienced the life of the Republic of China... There are also various snacks and treasures.

I'd always heard from my family that we migrated from under the Big Locust Tree. Today, I took my parents back to the Big Locust Tree, learned about the migration story, and watched the Big Locust Tree migration performance recommended by our guide. It was truly amazing! We even found out our own surname. The guide's explanations were very unique, and we also learned about the local customs and traditions. The service was excellent too. It was a really great experience! 😊
The Hongtong Big Pagoda Tree carries the stories of our ancestors and is the root and soul of tens of thousands of people in this hometown. The scenery is beautiful, the historical atmosphere is rich, and there are free performances within the scenic area, making it well worth a visit. I heard there's a grand sacrificial ceremony every year, but I unfortunately missed it.

There is a manual explanation, the fee is 50, you can see the exhibition on the ground and go underground to visit the mining process, the cost-effectiveness is high, you can learn about coal mines, it is worth recommending! ! ! ! !
Shanxi, a major coal-producing province, has a dedicated museum, which is great, but it feels a bit underwhelming. The museum looks like it's preparing for a commercial trade show, making it bustling. The entrance has been pushed to the side, which I found a bit strange. After entering, I asked for a tour guide, and the professionalism was quite good. The guide was good. There's also an elevator that goes down to the mines, and the exhibits on coal mining from ancient times to the present day are quite good. It fully satisfied my curiosity. The exhibition halls offer detailed information on coal types, and there are also coal-based artifacts that I found quite novel. Overall, I feel like there's room for further exploration of coal. After the tour of the coal process, the museum transitioned to a special topic on Shanxi murals, which felt like a crossover and a bit overwhelming.

I went to Kangbashi Museum some time ago, and it was really amazing! As soon as I walked to the front of the museum, I was attracted by the unique architectural shape, which looked like a rock that had been polished by time and had a special sense of history. After entering, the various exhibits were dazzling. There were ancient bronzes, exquisite ceramics, and precious calligraphy and paintings. Listening to the story behind these exhibits introduced by the guide, it was as if I traveled through time and space, and personally experienced the long history and splendid culture of Ordos. I felt very rewarding. I sincerely recommend everyone to go and have a look!
The exhibition design is very attentive, divided according to the natural development context, the visiting route is clear, the transition is natural, and it is not tiring to visit. The lighting and sound effects are also amazing. In the simulated tropical rainforest exhibition area, the lighting is combined with the sound of birds and wind, as if you are in the depths of the rainforest.

As the filming location for the classic version of "Dream of the Red Chamber", it made good use of this theme, recreating many story scenes, and also allowing for a deeper understanding of "Dream of the Red Chamber", Cao Xueqin and "Redology".
But overall, the ticket price of 40 yuan is quite cost-effective for such a sightseeing experience, especially for fans of "Dream of Red Mansions", it is worth a visit.
