I went in late August. The temperature was over 30 degrees Celsius that day, and the afternoon sun was very strong, so it was extremely hot. To emphasize, there was basically no air conditioning in the three pavilions, and there were too many people, so the experience was just so-so. It was also very difficult to get a taxi.
You can learn about the history of Tsingtao Beer, and you even get two free beers during the visit. I bought a set meal that included food, and at the exit I received a free meal and two more beers, which was great.

The most expensive route in Laoshan is the Taiqing route, but after going, I realized it was definitely worth it. If you have the energy, you can visit Bashuihe, Huayan Temple, Qingshan Fishing Village, and Yangkou all at the same time. You can take a bus between these points, making it very cost-effective. The maple leaves are all red now—it's so beautiful!
In July, on a whim, my friends and I drove back to Tianheng Island and stopped by Laoshan Mountain. Although I'm from Qingdao, I'd never been before. We booked a guesthouse for the three of us, which allowed us to drive into the scenic area early. We went straight to Taiqing Palace the next morning, saving a lot of time and avoiding the peak season. Although it was still very hot in the mountains, the scenery was absolutely stunning. There was even a free tea tasting area at the Taiqing Palace exit, facing the sea – it was wonderful! I definitely want to come back again. Laoshan is quite large; we could have stayed a couple more nights.

You can definitely see seagulls from the boat, but since they don't eat ham sausages, there's no need to prepare any; everyone basically just breaks them open and throws them into the air to feed them. The island is quite nice; the memorial hall is crowded, but the coffee shop has a beautiful ambiance with floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of the sea on two sides. However, the historical site is the Naval Headquarters, the office of the Beiyang Fleet, so don't forget to visit it.
Liugong Island, located in Weihai Bay, is not only a natural sea barrier but also a witness to modern Chinese history, known as the "Eastern Barrier" and the "Unsinkable Warship." Liugong Island served as a base for the Qing Dynasty's Beiyang Fleet and was the site of the final battle of the First Sino-Japanese War. Liugong Island is more than just a scenic island; it is a "living fossil" bearing the weight of history and national memory.

Absolutely stunning! We visited on the last weekend of November. Not crowded at all, the scenery was breathtaking; you absolutely must take the cable car. I imagine the queues for getting on and off during peak season would be incredibly long. But we went at the right time, which meant we could practically have the entire island and Penglai Pavilion to ourselves. Unfortunately, we couldn't manage our time and didn't get to experience the immersive atmosphere. Hopefully, we'll have to go again.
Penglai Pavilion is one of China's four most famous towers (the other three are generally considered to be Yellow Crane Tower, Yueyang Tower, and Tengwang Pavilion). It is not only an outstanding representative of ancient Chinese architecture, but also renowned for its "Penglai Wonderland" and mirage phenomena. From the main pavilion of Penglai Pavilion, one can gaze into the distance and faintly discern the boundary between the Yellow Sea and the Bohai Sea, where the sea and sky merge into one, offering an extremely expansive and magnificent view.

Family, you absolutely can't miss the Underwater World when you come to Qingdao, especially that nearly 100-meter-long underwater tunnel! It's really amazing! Tickets are available now! Here's a guide for you: Copy Ticket Purchase Guide Tickets can be purchased in advance through the official WeChat account or major travel platforms. A general admission ticket is 170 yuan, with student discounts available. There might be queues at the ticket counter, so buying in advance is much more convenient. Itinerary We recommend starting with the Dreamy Jellyfish Palace, where the colorful jellyfish under the lights create a dreamlike scene, perfect for taking photos. Next, head to the Seal Pavilion to see the adorable seals. Now for the highlights: the Marine Life Pavilion and Whale Pavilion have many precious specimens, where you can learn a lot about the ocean. Then, there's the incredible underwater tunnel! Stretching nearly 100 meters, walking in feels like being surrounded by fish from every angle, with sharks, turtles, and rays swimming right beside you—the feeling is indescribable. It's also a great place for taking photos; even a simple shot on the escalator has a great atmosphere. Finally, head to the freshwater aquarium to see some unique freshwater creatures. Show Times: Don't forget to check the times for the mermaid show and the shark and human show; they're spectacular. Arrive half an hour early to secure a good front-row seat.
Qingdao Underwater World is located on Laiyang Road in the south of the city, adjacent to Luxun Park, offering convenient transportation. The museum is divided into an intertidal zone, an underwater tunnel, and a ship cabin exhibit. The tunnel is 82 meters long, with moving walkways gently navigating the area. Manta rays, turtles, and sharks circling overhead create a striking visual experience. The Dreamy Jellyfish Palace, with its changing lights, creates a sense of immersion in the blue starry sky, perfect for photo ops. The shark-man dance and mermaid show are performed three times daily, with lively commentary that will keep children captivated. However, during National Day, crowds are high, and there are often three layers of mobile phones stacked against the glass, so avoid visiting during peak hours. Some tanks have scratches on the glass, which can be detrimental to the viewing experience. The export goods area is long, making it easy for children to cling to toys. Tickets are 170 yuan, and you can save 20 yuan by purchasing in advance on the official website. It's cheaper than Polar Ocean World, but the animal species are slightly smaller. It's recommended to enter at 9:00 AM, right when the gates open, to experience the tunnel first and then the show, which takes two hours. Overall, the museum has a 4-star rating and is suitable for families and couples. Remember to bring a jacket, as the temperature inside the museum is a constant 22°C.

What adorable little sea lions! The child was initially drawn to the sea lions arguing on the other side, but when they looked down, one of the sea lions stood up, thinking the child wanted to eat. It was so funny!
The animals here are so cute! The polar bears are so adorable, the penguins jumping up eagerly to eat are hilarious, and the beluga whales are not only beautiful, they can even sing and spin around!

Overall, it was quite good. Although it was the off-season, the scenery was still very beautiful. There were many kinds of animals, and the facilities in each venue were very complete. The shows were also very good. I recommend everyone to visit. Tickets are even cheaper in the off-season, and it's actually very, very close to the bird park on foot.
The facilities are a bit old, probably because they've been there for a while, but the animals are super cute. The shows are also very good, so you should definitely go. Be sure to check the show times in advance!

If you want to see the sea like in Winter Sonata, this is a place definitely worth visiting and experiencing. Braving the wind and waves, listening to the sounds of the ocean, walking on the soft sand, just relaxing and daydreaming—the beauty of the mountains and the sea is something you should definitely appreciate…🌷🌷😁😁
The train ride was great, with beautiful scenery. It consists of three separate modes of transport. If you're staying on the island, taking the train might be inconvenient. Buying tickets on Ctrip and then verifying them again after the initial check wasn't very convenient; my phone couldn't retrieve the ticket. Luckily, I showed the ticket inspector my order and was allowed to take a later train.

I picked it up on a weekend in early November. It wasn't crowded, the temperature was perfect, and it was very comfortable to stroll around. From feeding the animals at the entrance to leaving, I didn't have time to take pictures. You can sneak some in! 🤫 Saves a lot of money! 😁 The only downside is the non-motorized playground for kids. 😜 Free parking is such a great deal! Parking tip: Use the Jiajiayuan parking lot as your navigation. It's a short walk from the exit when you're tired. 😂
Visitors lined up in long queues, streaming into the Xixiakou Shendiao Wildlife Park. The park's gates were tall, painted with designs of birds and beasts. The paint was flaking, but it still managed to exude an air of majesty. Winding paths snaked through the park, lined with iron cages. Tigers and leopards, their fur dull, crouched in corners, barely batting an eyelid at the visitors. A peacock, indeed, spread its feathers, but they were speckled with mud. After a few shakes, they folded them back down. Children applauded, while adults held up their phones, flashing their cameras, concluding they'd seen enough. A black bear bowed, begging for food. Visitors tossed it biscuits. It clumsily caught them and stuffed them into its mouth, its eyes glazed with greed. The keeper stood at a distance, uninvolved, perhaps accustomed to such sights. Turning around the rockery, an old monkey sat alone on a raised platform, apart from the rest of the group. It stared into the distance, its gaze past the iron bars, into the unknown. Visitors streamed past it noisily, but no one stopped to look. When we left the park, we saw the black bear again, still bowing.

I went there around 3:00 PM on National Day. I didn't check the schedule and just wandered around the park, catching whatever I could. I saw a performance called "Defending the Last Chicken of Langya" and a juggler. That evening, I went to see the National Show Langya, which was truly wonderful. I went straight to the Water Show. The line was incredibly long, and once inside, only seats were left at the side, but that was fine; I could see everything. I only saw the first act of Langya. I watched acts two, three, and four from the periphery. It rained intermittently, and I left the park at 9:30 AM, missing the final fireworks display.
Visiting at night is recommended! Linyi's Langya Ancient Town is a captivating cultural and tourist attraction. Its fully immersive concept recreates the splendor of Langya. Its seven themed areas, each with its own distinct character, feature exquisitely restored Ming and Qing dynasty buildings, including government offices and academies, creating a sense of time travel. The scenic area offers a wealth of cultural experiences, including intangible cultural heritage crafts and calligraphy workshops, allowing visitors to experience the heart of history. The entertainment industry is a highlight, with over 100 performances, such as "National Show Langya," performed daily, combining audiovisual effects with stunning real-life scenes. Furthermore, the scenic area offers affordable prices, and the snack alleys are filled with the lively atmosphere of life. However, during peak season, tickets for popular performances are hard to come by, and some areas can feel overly commercial.
