The hotel is excellent and offers great value for money. The location is superb, close to all the attractions. The hotel service is warm and welcoming, highly recommended. There's also a good hot pot restaurant downstairs. Overall, I had a great experience in Xi'an; the locals were very friendly. I loved it and would definitely come again.
It's an integral part of any visit to China.... spectacular history and well preserved icons of a past age. Crowds can be immense so would recommend going at a low peak time if possible

One of the four major Buddhist grottoes in China and a World Cultural Heritage site, it is located on the banks of the Yi River in the suburbs of Luoyang. It is a large-scale site that was first built during the Northern Wei Dynasty and has a history of more than 1,500 years. It is well preserved and has extremely high cultural and artistic value.
Because there were no other people joining the group for the originally booked session, it was changed to a 3.5-hour tour. The tour guide from Elephant Travel said that Xiao Jiang explained things very carefully, had done his homework thoroughly, and explained things in a simple and easy-to-understand way, from which I benefited a lot.

A 24-hour chat on the Chang'an City Wall 🌅 At dawn, I climbed the city wall from Yongning Gate. The brick pavement gleamed amber in the morning light. I rented a mint-green motorcycle by scanning a QR code, and rode to Hanguang Gate. A newly installed AR screen flashed an image of a Persian camel caravan; the sound of hooves mingled with the car horns on the South Gate roundabout, and for a moment, I lost track of time. ☀️ At midday, I strolled from Zhongshan Gate to Yongxingfang. The Chengcheng mutton soup stall, a traditional intangible cultural heritage spot, had a broth as clear as a mirror. The crescent-shaped pancakes were best eaten by tearing them into pieces and soaking them in the broth. At the Chang'an Stove near the South Gate, the gourd chicken was fried to a crispy exterior and tender interior. Sitting by the window, I could see the upturned eaves of the barbican. For 80 yuan per person, I enjoyed a feast fit for a grand Tang Dynasty banquet. 🌇When returning the car in the dark, I discovered a new monster-themed charging station at the West Gate. A quick scan with WeChat and I could borrow one. The moat's boats, carrying the twilight, crossed the bridge; the lanterns on the bar street lit up in a flash; a young woman sang "Xi'an People's Song" with her guitar; and the evening breeze was filled with the aroma of chili oil. 🏙️A few more words: The AR projection at the southwest corner of the city is amazing; the shadow puppet show at Yongxingfang starts at 7:30, don't forget; the elevator at Hanguang Gate is perfect for families with young children. #ThirteenDynastiesCityWallChat #YongxingfangIsBeautiful #AncientAndModernBikeTravel
Xi'an City Wall: A tangible epic of a thousand years! Climbing the broad walls is like stepping into the glorious Tang Dynasty capital of Chang'an. Whether cycling or strolling, the ancient city's charm intertwines with modern streetscapes between the crenellations, a perfect blend of history and everyday life. At dusk, the setting sun bathes the blue bricks in gold, creating a breathtaking scene. With its excellent management and convenient facilities, it's the perfect place to experience the soul of this ancient city. The most unforgettable part of this trip was the vibrant spirit of Xi'an, protected by these ancient walls.

Mount Hua, the Western Peak, truly lives up to its name, with its many perilous and challenging sections. I absolutely love hiking and will never take the cable car or tram if I can hike on foot. This time, I hiked almost the entire way. If you're interested, check out my sharing – it's a hardcore hiking guide! 1️⃣ Transportation: From Xi'an, take the 7:16-8:38 train to Huashan Station, then take a taxi to Yuquan Temple to begin your hike. 2️⃣ Preparations: Before setting off, I bought two cans of Red Bull at a supermarket at the foot of the mountain. They were only 7 yuan each, which was reasonable. Try to prepare food and water in advance or buy them at the foot of the mountain, because they are incredibly expensive on the mountain! Red Bull costs 20 yuan a can on the mountain… 3️⃣ Hiking: The section from Yuquan Temple to the North Peak is divided into slopes and steps. I didn't use hiking poles; I used gloves to grab onto chains on steep slopes. If you have enough energy, you can climb faster. I reached the North Peak in about 2 hours and 15 minutes. 4️⃣ Sightseeing on the mountain. The scenery is beautiful even with many people, so slow down and enjoy the views and take photos. The recommended order is North Peak – Central Peak – East Peak – South Peak – West Peak (For the Plank Road in the Sky and the Hawk's Turn, check the reservation times carefully; arriving early may result in queues). Complete a loop on the mountain, climbing to the top of each peak to see different views. If you're unsure of the route, be sure to follow the signs or ask staff. 5️⃣ Preparing for the return trip. I couldn't take the West Peak cable car due to maintenance, so after visiting West Peak, I returned to North Peak via the same route and took the North Peak cable car. Hiking down is not recommended because the climb to Huashan is difficult and strenuous; hiking downhill can be physically demanding for some, and the steep slopes can cause knee damage. Taking the cable car or gondola down is highly recommended! 6️⃣ After getting off the bus, go to Parking Lot 1. There are free shuttle buses to Huashan North Station, but be quick, as the bus departs at 4:30 PM. I missed the bus and opted for a minibus instead, which cost 40 yuan per person and went directly from Huashan Station to Xi'an Bell Tower! 7️⃣ Climbing Summary. The entire hiking route was: Yuquan Temple—North Peak—Central Peak—East Peak—South Peak—West Peak—North Peak Cableway, taking approximately 6 hours. Hiking enthusiasts can use this as a reference; let's share our climbing experiences. Hiking the entire Huashan Mountain was absolutely exhilarating!!!
The entire trip was worthwhile. You'll receive a pick-up time from Ctrip at your hotel the day before; just arrive on time. The return trip also involves meeting at a designated time and place for a shared ride back to the city. There are multiple drop-off points to choose from, saving you a lot of time finding your own subway and transfer points. A tour guide will accompany you throughout the trip, so I highly recommend this option for independent travelers. However, this trip only allowed for a north-to-north journey; there simply wasn't enough time to visit West Peak. The cable car queue takes an hour, making the round trip two hours, so we arrived at the mountain around noon, which was quite physically demanding. Going in the morning would allow you to see more. The tour guide suggested buying a navigation device, travel insurance, and an XR experience walkway on the bus, which was really unnecessary. Please consider this carefully. We didn't purchase any of these items, and we found this very inconvenient, but considering the tour guide's income, we could only understand.

Worth it🤩🤩. Amazing performance, traditional choreography, wonderful melody . A mix of Modern and classic . A must see show . #memories, #Broadway Chinese version
Definitely worth a visit! The spectacle is spectacular! The moment the entire mountain lit up, the entire audience erupted in cheers. Sitting outdoors in winter can be quite cold, so remember to dress warmly. But the performance is absolutely amazing and definitely worth seeing!

As the Yellow River bursts out of the Jin-Shaanxi Grand Canyon, its powerful momentum is halted at Hukou Waterfall. The immense force washes over the cliffs on both sides, like thunder, like the sound of pine trees, like a roar, shaking people's hearts. Looking down at Hukou Waterfall, one is awestruck by the magnificent sight of Mother Nature.
Only by experiencing Hukou Waterfall in person can one truly appreciate the awe-inspiring power of the Yellow River's roar! The surging, turbid waves plunge into the deep pool like a thousand horses, their thunderous roar echoing through the sky, while the spray brings a refreshing coolness. A rainbow arches against the backdrop of the raging torrents, creating a breathtakingly beautiful scene. The scenic area's viewing platforms are well-designed, offering multiple angles to appreciate the waterfall's majestic grandeur. This is a baptism of nature's power, a direct display of national spirit—an unforgettable experience!

It was beautiful. I tried both the first and second cable car lines, but unfortunately the elevator was closed. The scenery of the Ten-Mile Painting Screen was stunning, but there were also many people. In the end, the mountain was so crowded that it became a "traffic jam" (a term used to describe a large number of people stuck on a mountain).
"You have to come to Laojun Mountain!" Laojun Mountain in Luoyang, the "Heavenly Palace" atop the 800-li Funiu Mountains. There's truly no off-season! Come, come! Laojun Mountain is a timeless painting, the Yi River a timeless zither. With a heart full of wisdom, the scenery is boundless. Wait for a sunset, chase the lights! ❤️ A breathtaking feast for the world! Night is the canvas, the golden summit the painting. Lighting up the 800-li Funiu Mountains, the light of the mortal world is also the starlight of the heavenly palace scattered upon humanity. All thoughts are entrusted to the thousand-foot golden summit—a majestic fairyland, a dazzling myth! ❤️ After watching the light show on Monday, we queued to descend the mountain. The queues for the first and second levels took about half an hour each, which felt like a long time. Actually, it wasn't. They say the queues can be as long as four hours when it's crowded! Ah!! It was windy when we climbed, but the weather was great the next day, though incredibly crowded. Apparently, there were over 30,000 people – Lao Jun Mountain is so popular! ❤️ I knelt down to pray at the Taoist temple in front of the Ten-Mile Gallery, and an elderly Taoist nun helped ring the bell three times. Thank you! ❤️ What I saw was that it was cold and windy at the summit; a down jacket and hand warmers were definitely necessary. Are things expensive on the mountain? Not at all! Three grilled sausages at Zhongtianmen cost 10 yuan, two hiking sticks cost 10 yuan, Mixue Ice Cream at the Golden Summit cost 6 yuan (supposedly the most popular item on Lao Jun Mountain), and bottled water cost 5 yuan… At 2200 meters above sea level, you think that's expensive?! After climbing so many mountains and seeing so many sights, the Ten-Mile Gallery on Lao Jun Mountain truly is only ten miles long!!! It takes at least two hours to walk the whole thing 😂 Walking along the razor-sharp ridges, with granite peaks and forests below, every step reveals a new vista. The incense burning since the Northern Wei Dynasty, every stone and tree embodies the Daoist principle of nature ❤️ Man follows the Earth, Earth follows Heaven, Heaven follows the Dao, and the Dao follows Nature. Upon reaching the Golden Summit, watch the live performance! Knowing Lao Jun Mountain, it's worth it; buying it together with the ticket gets you a discount. The Golden Hall, Liangbaotai, and Jade Emperor Peak shine brilliantly in the sunlight during the day, and the lighting at night is unbeatable! Looking down at the vast sea of clouds, with mountains appearing and disappearing, all worries vanish with the wind. The vastness of heaven and earth versus the insignificance of our own hearts—if there weren't so many people, the clarity and expansiveness of mind would be even more pronounced. We took the first-level cable car, climbed the steps and walked along the ten-mile gallery to the Golden Summit, watched the live performance and light show, queued for the second-level cable car, queued for the first-level cable car, had a bowl of soup at the exit, and stayed at a guesthouse at the foot of the mountain for the night—perfect! Flaws: Littering! Smoking! Who are these people?! So many pretty young boys and girls are smoking everywhere, so inconsiderate! And is Mixue offering you a ridiculously low price? While queuing to go down from the Golden Summit, I saw a man in front of me casually throw away half a cup of cigarettes. I reminded him that he had dropped something, but he wouldn't admit it or pick it up! The trash they carelessly throw away is being painstakingly picked up by the staff. Please respect them ❤️

Great and a must see. It wasn’t very easy finding the entrance as the tower access is underground, but it’s a must see when you’re in Xi’An! Be prepared as it does get VERY crowded!
A 4-day family trip to Xi'an made all the difference by choosing the right hotel! The Lavande Hotel Bell Tower Metro Station was an absolute gem, exceeding all expectations. The hotel's location is impeccable, just 30 meters from the Bell Tower Metro Station. It's practically a stone's throw from the door, making it easy to reach attractions like the Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Terracotta Warriors, and Big Wild Goose Pagoda, or to explore the Muslim Quarter and Yongxingfang for delicious food. Traveling with elderly relatives and children is a breeze. The hotel is clean and tidy, with no clutter in the public areas. The rooms were a pleasant surprise – the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a quiet night's sleep for my family after our sightseeing. What touched us most was the lovely receptionist, Zhao Jiaqi! One night, I received an urgent work assignment and was frantically searching for my laptop. Without hesitation, she lent me her own personal computer, patiently explaining the usage instructions. Her attitude was gentle and patient throughout. This selfless kindness warmed our hearts while we were far from home, making our stay truly special. From the clean and comfortable facilities to the convenient location and the heartwarming service provided by Ms. Zhao Jiaqi, every aspect of the Lavande Hotel reflected meticulous attention to detail. Our four-day stay was flawless, and we've already recommended it to friends visiting Xi'an. We'll definitely choose this hotel again next time we're in Xi'an! We are truly grateful to the hotel for the high-quality accommodation, and even more grateful to the kind and beautiful Ms. Zhao Jiaqi for her selfless help, making our Xi'an trip perfect and unforgettable.

Everyone goes through difficult times: financial hardship, job setbacks, academic pressure, and the anxiety of unrequited love. Those who persevere will find life opens up new possibilities; those who don't will learn to make peace with their circumstances over time. What you overcome becomes experience; what you don't, becomes lessons—both are beneficial. What I want is favoritism, not love. This world is cruelly fair, and I only want to be the exception.
You can think of it as a photography studio set in a Tang Dynasty-style garden. The night view is beautiful, and nearly half of the visitors are there for travel photography. The ticket price is a bit expensive. It's located right across from the Datang Everbright City street; it's optional.

The room was very clean, with three bedrooms that can accommodate many people. It was fully equipped, and you could cook your own meals. The lovely landlady provided a parking space right outside the door. The welcome fruit provided by the landlady was homegrown, and my child loved it. Overall, I was very satisfied.
Standing beside the surging waterfall, one can't help but think of the Yellow River Cantata. The surging past and future of the Chinese people are embodied in each roar, which is very moving. The only downside is that the scenic area is a bit small, but this doesn't detract from its overall beauty.
