Passing through Xichang, we visited Qionghai Lake, located in Xichang City, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It is the second largest freshwater lake in Sichuan Province. Anciently known as Qiongchi, it is a rift lake from the Early Pleistocene, formed approximately 1.8 million years ago. Xichang, the capital of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, is best known as a satellite launch site and for Qionghai Lake, which circumferentially spans over 30 kilometers.
Xichang is definitely worth a visit, and Qionghai is a must. Remember to rent a power-assisted bicycle, not an electric bicycle. Only power-assisted bicycles can enter the scenic area. We didn’t know we rented an electric bicycle on the first day, so we just walked around the outer circle. On the second day, we rented power-assisted bicycles and walked inside the scenic area. The scenery is super good and the area is very large, which is super suitable for a ride. The Liangshan burgers are delicious. Some are very spicy and some have millet peppers. You can put less pepper 🌶 Liangshan snow is delicious, Tuotuo meat is delicious, and strawberries 🍓 are really cheap.

Lugu Lake was incredibly beautiful, even better than expected. The staff throughout the scenic area were incredibly welcoming, especially the mother and daughter who rowed the pig trough boat at Wuzhiluo Wharf. Their service was incredibly warm and attentive, leaving our whole family with a truly wonderful experience! Parking at every attraction in the scenic area was incredibly convenient and mostly free. Great review!
The lake itself is beautiful, sunny or cloudy, each has its own beauty. But the infrastructure seems to be very poor, whether in Sichuan or Yunnan, at least the road conditions around the lake are not very good.

Highly recommended, especially the iron flower scene, which is quite impressive. The four-part series is quite compact. The actors are quite serious, and the mountains, waters, and fire are all very dedicated. Worth having. The stage effect is very good.
The overall feeling is good. First, I have seen many local theme performances. Compared with other large-scale theme performances in Guangxi, Gansu, Anhui and other places, the theme song of Aranyu is more creative and has strong national characteristics; second, the actors' performances are artistic, and there are interactions, toasts, water splashing, haha, not monotonous; third, the use of large-scale facilities such as sound, light, electricity, and water is in place, and the artistry is strong! It is worth seeing! In addition, the tickets in Zone A2 are more cost-effective, and they are separated from the VIP seats by one column, and the feeling is similar! Before and after the performance, there are square performances and interactive dance experiences in the village in front of the Aranyu Theater!

Traveling through the ancient city of Jianchang, 600 years of time 🌆 to Xichang, you must not miss the ancient city of Jianchang! This ancient city, built in Minghongwu for 20 years, has a history of more than 600 years, carrying a heavy historical culture, but full of fireworks on the earth, people are intoxicated. 🚪 When you step into the ancient city, the first thing you see is the majestic city gate and the simple city wall. They witness the changes of the years and silently tell the stories of the past. Walking along the blue stone road, as if crossing back to ancient times, the Ming and Qing Dynasties on the street, the architecture of the Republic of China period is scattered, the complicated wood grain, carvings, stone carvings, all show the exquisite skills of skilled craftsmen. The ancient city is centered on the four arches, and the four main streets radiate to the four sides. During the stroll, there are many old houses in the North Street, which are full of history; the South Street is lively and bustling, and the old brands such as "Xu Guokui" and sister oil tea exude a seductive aroma; The combination of old and new in Cang Street is ancient charm on one side and modern life on the other; the shops in Fujie are gathered, and the two rhubarb Ge trees are full of wish belts, full of warm atmosphere. 🍜 Food is definitely a highlight of Jianchang Ancient City! In addition to the snacks mentioned earlier, the barbecue here is even more amazing. Panlong barbecue panlong small intestine, the outer skin is crispy, bite the grease in the mouth burst; Li Xiaochang special barbecue garden multi-flavored small intestine, spicy, garlic, five flavors, each mouth Q has chewy. There are also old-fashioned roasters, cost-effective, beef, beef tendon skewers on the chopsticks, spicy grilled fish outside the burnt inside, the side dishes are full of soup, and the more you eat, the more you get over the addiction. 🎇 The ancient city at night has a special charm, the lights are brilliant, like daylight. The light show on the upper floor of the city is beautiful, complementing the antique architecture, making people feel like they are in a dream. Taking pictures on the lantern promenade on Yongquan Street is a blockbuster. The only dissatisfaction is that the vehicle traffic management in the ancient city is not perfect. The car can be driven in casually, which affects the experience of walking and hopes to improve. However, this does not affect my love for Jianchang Ancient City. It is still a treasure place worth visiting in my heart. 5 points is great and worth recommending!
Jianchang Ancient City, a family who traveled through time and space, just returned from Jianchang Ancient City, must come to share my play experience with you! 🌆 [History charm] stepping into the ancient city, as if crossing back to ancient times in an instant. This ancient city, built in the 20 years of Ming Hongwu, has been baptized for more than 600 years, and still retains the layout and architectural style of the Ming Dynasty. Every blue brick and every gap on the city wall tell the story of the years. Arrive at the gate of the city, overlooking the whole view of the ancient city, the nineth street and eighteen lanes are crisscrossed, as if an ancient picture is unfolding slowly in front of you. 🍜 [Food Paradise] If you are a foodie, Jianchang Ancient City can definitely satisfy your taste buds! There are a wide variety of food here, which makes people mouth-watering. The brazier barbecue is a must-eat feature. Sitting around the charcoal fire, roasting fresh small pork, and then serving a bowl of Yi pickled vegetable soup, the taste is absolutely amazing! There is also Xu Guo Helmet, the outer skin is crispy, the inner filling is soft and sweet, and the aroma is sniffing when you first come out of the pot, bite on it, full of happiness. By the way, you can't miss Li's small intestine barbecue. The small intestine is burnt and tender, and the taste is Q-pop. With special marinade, the more you eat, the more addictive you are. 🎭 [Special Experience] In addition to food and history, there are many interesting experience projects in the ancient city. You can go to the opening ceremony and feel the ancient etiquette and culture; You can also wear Hanfu and take pictures on the city wall, as if you have traveled back to the Daming Dynasty. Friends who like script killings can't miss it. There are special script killings with the background of the ancient city, so that you can experience a thrilling adventure while playing. 🚗 [Convenient transportation] The ancient city is located in the center of Xichang and the transportation is very convenient. Whether it is self-driving or public transportation, it can be easily reached. There are many parking lots around, so don't worry about parking. In short, Jianchang Ancient City is a tourist attraction integrating history and culture, food and entertainment. Whether it is a parent-child tour, a couple tour or a trip alone, you can find your own fun here. I highly recommend everyone to punch in! #Jianchang Ancient City #Xichang Tourism #Food Exploration #History and Culture City

One of the iconic buildings, blending French Romanesque and Chinese pavilion styles, it possesses profound historical and cultural value. Built in 1926 (under the supervision of Father Jia Yuanzhen of the Paris Foreign Missions Society), it combines French Romanesque and Chinese pavilion styles. The main body has a red sandstone base, with blue brick walls. The facade is shaped like the Chinese character "山" (mountain), and the bell tower is a hexagonal, pyramidal-roofed brick and wood structure. Address: East side of the southern section of Yuantian Street, Huili City, Sichuan Province. The Huili Catholic Church is not only a religious building, but also a three-dimensional history book and an artistic scroll of East-West fusion. Whether you are an architecture enthusiast, a history buff, or a traveler seeking spiritual tranquility, this place can bring you a timeless and moving experience.
It's worth a visit during pomegranate season in September, when the pomegranates are large, fresh, and affordable at just 2 yuan per pound. The crisp autumn air evokes a sense of commercialism in the ancient city. The Bell and Drum Tower (Lingxiao Tower) on the main street of the ancient city is a landmark. Located in the heart of the ancient city, it was built in 1734, the 12th year of the Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty. Standing 22 meters tall, it is a landmark. Its design, modeled after the corner towers of imperial gardens, features a "four-sided" symmetry. Plaques are embedded on each side of the base ("Xingren" in the east, "Chongyi" in the west, "Wenzhi" in the south, and "Wu'an" in the north). Daily morning and evening bell and drum ceremonies are held. Kejia Lane, 156 meters long and 3.5 meters wide, was originally named "Gongjia Lane" because many households in the lane during the Ming and Qing dynasties displayed plaques inscribed with the words "Jinshidi." Numerous Ming and Qing dynasty residences, such as the Hu Family Courtyard, are preserved within the lane. It is now a protected area within the Sichuan Historical and Cultural District. A must-see is the Catholic Church, built in the 16th year of the Republic of China. Its Gothic architecture blends seamlessly with local architecture and is particularly captivating under the evening lights. Best way to visit: Explore the alleys on foot or climb the Bell and Drum Tower or the North Gate Tower for panoramic views. Must-try Huili delicacies include shredded chicken, mutton vermicelli noodles, copper hot pot, iron cakes, crispy buns, pottery jelly, thin bean powder, pork shank, thin skin, and stir-fried pork with pomegranate flowers. These dishes, a fusion of Sichuan and Yunnan flavors and Yi characteristics, are renowned for their savory, spicy, soft, glutinous, and crispy textures, representing the essence of local culinary culture.

Beautiful scenery: Located on the southwest bank of Qionghai Lake, it is adjacent to Lushan Mountain, and the lake and mountain scenery are beautiful. The town's architecture and natural landscape complement each other. The Moon Goddess Sculpture, Lakeside Plank Road, and Bronze Sculpture complement Qionghai Lake and Lushan Mountain, and are as beautiful as a painting.   - Rich cultural atmosphere: With "moon culture" and "fisherman culture" as the foundation, it has set up four theme areas: Colorful Cloud Moon, Romantic Moon, Gentle Moon, and Water-Friendly Moon. There are also creative derivatives related to the moon, and the love and music theme business also adds a lot of color to the town. - Rich leisure and entertainment: It integrates entertainment, catering and accommodation. There are bars, coffee, theme teahouses, special catering, etc., which can meet the needs of mid-to-high-end leisure and vacation people. When you are tired, you can find a store to sit down and enjoy a pleasant time. - Convenient transportation: You can drive directly via Panxi Expressway, Luhuang Expressway, Beijing-Kunming Expressway and National Highways 107 and G108, and you can also take Bus No. 22 in the city. - Infrastructure needs to be improved: Some tourists reported that the town had water and power outages, which had a negative impact on the business operations of businesses and tourists' accommodation experience. - Parking difficulties: With the increase in the number of tourists, the problem of small parking lots in the town has become prominent, and parking difficulties have brought inconvenience to self-driving tourists. - Not rich enough business formats: The town is small in scale, with limited places to visit, and the business formats are not diverse enough, making it difficult for tourists to stay for a long time.
The Moonlight Style Town on the shore of Qionghai is at the foot of Lushan Mountain. There are many restaurants and homestays here. The trail around the lake is very wide. Many tourists gather in front of the check-in statue by the lake. There are also occasional cruise ships and seagulls and wild ducks playing in the lake. The homestays by the lake are beautifully built, with large viewing windows and large green lawns. Here you can relax in the sun, enjoy the beautiful scenery, and spend a wonderful leisure time.
