This is my second time here, this time with my three-year-old. Since we've never seen such a large beach before, we had a lot of fun.
However, for adults, the other activities are all paid, so the value for money isn't quite right.
Today, Ordos is increasingly green, and it's rare to find such a small patch of desert left for tourists to experience. There are plenty of recreational activities, and the service is generally good. My summer trip was long ago, but the dark clouds and lightning over the desert during the thunderstorms remain vividly in my memory.

I specifically visited this place because of the opening credits of "A Chinese Odyssey." Seeing Zixia boating among the reeds, accompanied by a melodious tune, brought back memories of thirty years ago.
It takes about an hour to drive here from Yinchuan. The price is a bit expensive; the entrance fee plus transportation costs nearly 200 yuan per person.
It feels overdeveloped, with too many unnecessary facilities added for commercial purposes, disrupting the original tranquility and serene natural beauty. The roaring seaplanes and speedboats, and the incredibly long return trip (from the island to the sand dunes to the pier, it takes about 20 to 30 minutes to walk).
If you're short on time, this isn't a must-see attraction in Yinchuan.
The Shahu Scenic Area is suitable for taking children to play for a whole day. There are cute pet areas, swan and reed areas, and desert areas. You can also take a sightseeing bus and a boat to go there and back. The experience is very good, and there is no particular congestion during the National Day.

I went to Kangbashi Museum some time ago, and it was really amazing! As soon as I walked to the front of the museum, I was attracted by the unique architectural shape, which looked like a rock that had been polished by time and had a special sense of history. After entering, the various exhibits were dazzling. There were ancient bronzes, exquisite ceramics, and precious calligraphy and paintings. Listening to the story behind these exhibits introduced by the guide, it was as if I traveled through time and space, and personally experienced the long history and splendid culture of Ordos. I felt very rewarding. I sincerely recommend everyone to go and have a look!
The exhibition design is very attentive, divided according to the natural development context, the visiting route is clear, the transition is natural, and it is not tiring to visit. The lighting and sound effects are also amazing. In the simulated tropical rainforest exhibition area, the lighting is combined with the sound of birds and wind, as if you are in the depths of the rainforest.

Despite its somewhat remote location, Yili Health Valley boasts a wealth of activities. During the National Day holiday, there were many interactive games and additional guided tours. The scenic area primarily features two areas: powdered milk and liquid milk. Guided tours offer a detailed understanding of the entire powdered milk or milk processing process. The well-designed circulation and affordable admission make it a worthwhile trip.
It was a fantastic day, a truly wonderful experience. I'm completely convinced Yili is a must-visit. It's a great place for both children and adults. This was one of the best memories of our first trip to Inner Mongolia.

I was a little disappointed after taking bus 92 to the Chulechuan Grassland stop. There was no grassland, just a desolate meadow with very short, dry grass. In the distance, I saw a building that looked like a yurt, went inside for a quick look, took a photo with a sculpture of a Mongolian beauty, and then came out via a road near the mountains. There was a bus stop for bus 115 by the roadside. After waiting a while, the bus arrived (it came from the Red Education Base), and I rode for two stops before finally reaching the core scenic area! It was breathtaking! Grasslands, towering green mountains, and babbling rivers were all within easy reach, a truly beautiful sight. The only downside was that I didn't see any horses or sheep. For the return trip, I first took bus 115 to the Red Education Base, then transferred to bus 92. Bus 115 is a suburban bus, running approximately every hour, so be mindful of your travel time. No entrance fee is required.
On August 31st, I took advantage of the weekend for a two-day, one-night special forces tour of Hohhot.
It happened to rain, so I'm especially grateful to the two train drivers who drove my son and me to the door to prevent us from getting soaked. Two weeks in advance was perfect. It's a bit chilly in the mornings and evenings now, so you can rent an electric scooter and combine the train ride with walking.

As a parent of a boy, it was worth taking him here. He loved it and looked at everything. There weren't many entertainment facilities inside, just some retired aircraft and cannons.
This attraction is a great value for money. You can see historical and cultural items like tanks and J-5 trainer aircraft, and they're incredibly authentic. The venue is also quite large. Even more surprising, we even saw Asia's first artillery piece, which was truly spectacular and exceeded our expectations.
I wish the descriptions could be more detailed, or include more historical battle stories about fighter jets and tanks.
Overall, the experience was fantastic. Seeing so many artillery pieces and fighter jets was incredibly cost-effective.

I thought it was the kind of wildlife park where you could drive in, but it turns out the animals are still kept in cages. It's a good place to visit if you have kids, but adults don't need to go.
The zoo is incredibly large, reflecting the grandeur of Ordos. Each animal has ample space to move around. The cage rides were average, as the animals were too lazy to eat the meat.

I visited Hohhot during the National Day holiday and went to the Daqingshan Wildlife Park. Upon entering the park, I was greeted by lush greenery and fresh air. I was able to see various animals up close. The experience was fantastic!
It was my first time visiting the zoo near my home. It was much bigger than I had imagined, with monkeys, pandas, alpacas, birds, and even a wild animal area. Each area had a wide variety of species. The park was well-maintained, with plenty of restrooms. They also provided car rentals, saving time and effort. There were also activities like the float parade, which was very interactive. Tickets were also quite affordable. The off-season price was 35 yuan, which included unlimited admission for 7 days. I really like the zoo's policies.

I just came back from the Zhungel Yellow River Grand Canyon tour a short time ago, it was really shocking! As soon as I got there, the scenery of the canyon in the walled thousands of miles directly stunned me. The Yellow River water was flowing in the canyon. The scene was absolutely amazing! I also experienced the cruise project, and the breeze was blowing, which was particularly pleasant. The ancient village of Cuijiazhai in the scenic spot is also very charming. Walking on the stone road, it seems to have passed back. By the way, the glass observation deck is also super fun. Standing on it and looking down, my legs are so soft. In short, this trip is really worth it!
It was drizzling when we were traveling. When we arrived at the scenic spot, the rain stopped, but it was cloudy and foggy with drizzle. It was just right to walk on the plank road on the hillside without being exposed to the sun. It was neither cold nor hot and very comfortable. Not as good as the scenery of Chunhui Mountain a little farther from the city, but the city is really convenient. Also note that there was a road that people stepped out of, and there was a grassland scenic spot written next to it. I thought I could get to the farthest road. As a result, the grass became deeper and the same as people. The same high, and the original road turned back... (Figure 3, please note)
Can you imagine seeing beautiful grasslands in a city? Then come to Baotou. Baotou is a heavy industrial city, but you may not know that there is a very beautiful grassland in the middle of the east and west sides of Baotou. The locals use it as a fitness trail, and outsiders use it as a tourist attraction.
