This wildlife park is packed with interactive experiences and highly recommended for family trips. Almost all the animals are interactive; you can even pet the gentler ones like the Kapibala. You can feed the large carnivores, especially the bears near the entrance, for which there's a specially built viewing platform. The tigers are also available for feeding, and you can even take photos with the cubs up close. The only downside is the climb; the sightseeing bus only covers about 60% of the route…
I was still having fun teasing the birds and deer when a giraffe suddenly stretched its head out so enthusiastically that I fell on my backside. It probably thought my green shoulder-strap mascot was its food, not because it liked me that much. I was such a coward.

A family trip to the Lijiang Ancient Love Scenic Area was definitely worthwhile. The "Eternal Love" and "Earthquake" performances were not only spectacular but also deeply educational, allowing children to learn history while having fun. The scenic area also offered a variety of interactive experiences, which the children thoroughly enjoyed. The beautiful environment was also a pleasure to behold.
My colleagues and I had a fantastic team-building trip to Lijiang Ancient Town Scenic Area! The team-building activities were diverse and engaging, with exciting performances and plenty of fun interactive activities. The Dawa Tusi Banquet in the evening was delicious, and the interactive sessions created a wonderful atmosphere. This team-building trip not only helped us relax but also strengthened our understanding and trust with each other.

The scenery along the way wasn't great, especially on the road from the first stop, which was mostly residential buildings and a bit distracting. It improved a lot later on, and each stop was worth seeing. Overall, the photos turned out better than the experience itself.
The seats were a bit cramped, and the carriage was quite noisy. You can buy soft-seat tickets on-site; the environment in the soft-seat carriages is much better. The scenery outside the train was nice, and each stop had its own unique features. Overall, it was a good value experience.

Lijiang punishes everyone who doesn't plan ahead!!! I've wanted to visit Lijiang Old Town for ages! Dancing around a bonfire in the Old Town Listening to folk songs in a bar I did my research beforehand And stayed for three days and two nights, finally figuring out how to enjoy it! 🏕️Location: Lijiang Old Town 🎫Tickets: Free 24 hours a day 🚗Transportation: There's a 20 RMB bus from the airport directly to the Old Town; there are stops at both the South and North Gates. Taxis are also readily available. 📸Photo Spots in the Old Town ▪️Big Waterwheel: One of the must-see spots in Lijiang Old Town, located in Yuhe Square. A huge waterwheel, with many Dongba wishing plaques nearby. ▪️Sifang Street: Located in the center of Lijiang Old Town, connecting all the alleys. There's a bonfire party around 7 PM at the e-People's Fun Zone. ▪️ Umbrella Street: A whole street lined with oil-paper umbrellas. During the day, the sunlight makes them colorful, and at night they create a real old-street atmosphere. ▪️ Wenchang Palace or Lion Mountain Viewpoint: The viewpoint in front of Wenchang Palace offers panoramic views of Lijiang Old Town. From Lion Mountain, you can go to Wangu Tower Park for a complete view of the old town. ▪️ Qiyi Street and Wuyi Street: Food and bars. You can find a bar to listen to music in the evening. It's also a route to Mufu and Zhongyi Market. ▪️ Black Dragon Pool Park: The park is right next to Lijiang Old Town, about a 10-minute walk or a few minutes by taxi. Check the sunrise time in advance to photograph the golden sunrise on the mountain. Entry is free before 8 AM. About food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We found "Hongxing Casserole" near Zhongyi Market. The casserole with fresh meat stewed to order was incredibly high quality! You can eat your fill for just 30 RMB per person. We ordered lamb casserole, pork rib casserole, and mushroom casserole – every flavor was delicious! 😋 Plus, the owner poured fresh chili on top, and we couldn't stop eating! About bars: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ When in Lijiang, you must experience the local folk bar culture. We chose "Waste a Life Bar," where you can enjoy the view and listen to music. The singers take turns performing, each with a different style, so you can hear a variety of songs throughout the night! 🎵 #LijiangOldTownPhotography #LijiangLocalRecommendation #LijiangTravelGuide #LijiangFood #LijiangOldTownTourismRoute #LijiangBarRecommendation #LijiangHongxingCasserole #LijiangWasteALifeBar #LijiangTourism
Visiting the Mu Palace during the day is the best time to truly appreciate its grandeur. The architectural lines, courtyard layers, and carved beams and painted rafters are all clearly visible in the sunlight, relying solely on their natural beauty without any nighttime filter. The overall scale is considerable, and as you walk around, you can feel the confidence of the Mu family, who once held absolute power in Lijiang. The highlights are the expansive views and meticulous layout. Standing on higher ground overlooking the ancient city, you instantly understand why they could rule for centuries. The downsides are the large number of tourists and the somewhat official-sounding guide signs, but these don't prevent you from taking stunning photos. Overall: Worth a visit, especially during the day to truly appreciate its scale and details.

Nighttime tickets are cheaper, but wait times are shorter than during the day, allowing for a wider range of attractions, and the Torch Festival is also lively. The park's design reflects strong ethnic characteristics and cultural heritage. Objectively speaking, annual passes are relatively inexpensive, and for families traveling with children, you can rent very affordable B&Bs (over 1,000 yuan per month, or under 100 yuan per day), perfect for both study and leisure activities. However, the planned location fails to fully leverage the unique character of Dianchi Lake. Due to its locational constraints, its food, living facilities, and transportation are inferior to those of the main urban area. For example, the local economy (Jinning District) may be problematic. The road between the main urban area and the park is unlit early in the evening, and the road is uneven in some areas.
Adults can bring their children to play, and both adults and children will have a lot of fun. It is impossible to play here in one day. The food inside is relatively expensive, so it is best to bring some food with you. Some areas may be slightly cheaper, but generally it is more expensive than outside. Don't buy raincoats outside, as the water activities inside are all free. When I left, I took a picture of the beautiful sunset, which was very photogenic. It's a pity that I didn't get to play many activities with my baby, but the older children didn't want to leave after having so much fun.

[August Xizhou Ancient Town: In the rice fields and Bai customs, meet the romance of summer] August Xizhou Ancient Town is a treasure land filled with greenery and fireworks! Less than half an hour's drive from the ancient city of Dali, just got off the bus and was surprised by the endless rice fields at the entrance of the village. The green rice waves undulating with the wind, and some egrets passed by. The blue sky and white clouds lined the white tiles and white walls of the Bai people's houses. No wonder everyone runs here with their cameras. Time in the ancient town is very slow. The stone road is winding and twisting, and there are intact Bai old houses on both sides. The darts and the carved doors and windows are all exquisite. Walking in is like breaking into the time museum. The key point is to praise the Yanjia Courtyard, not only to see the exquisiteness of Bai architecture, but also to understand the history of Xizhou business gangs. The pomegranate trees in the yard are full of fruits, especially the atmosphere of life. In August, just in time for the local fruit peak season! The roadside stalls are full of yellow figs, sweet grapes, and freshly picked blueberries, affordable and fresh. Of course, Xizhou is indispensable. It is recommended to bake sweet mouths (rose filling) and salted mouths (pork end), the outer skin is crispy and the inner is soft, with a cup of milk fan Shaqima, and the carbide is happy to be directly full. I found a small shop by the river and sat down to eat, watched the flowing water, listened to the locals chatting in dialect. It's so pleasant. In the afternoon, you can rent a bicycle to ride along the rice fields, blow the wind through the fields, pass the villagers' vegetable fields and ponds, and feel the most simple pastoral scenery. In the evening, the light on the edge of the rice field became soft, taking pictures with filters, and many newcomers took wedding photos here, which was very romantic. The only thing to note is that it is a bit sun-dried in the afternoon of August, remember to do a good job of sun protection; there are a little more tourists on the main street of the ancient town, but you can find a cleanliness when you turn into the alley, suitable for slowly shaking. Overall, Xizhou does not have the hustle and bustle of Dali Ancient City, but has more idyllic and humanistic heritage. Come here in August, like putting the beauty of the whole summer in your hands, recommend it to friends who want to slow down and feel Dali ~
Well, the entire Dali Erhai Lake circle is about 80 kilometers long, and you will pass through many ancient towns in the middle, such as Xizhou Ancient Town. At the same time, there will be a lot of people renting cars, and you can also see many luxury cars. But you should pay attention to whether you choose to tour clockwise or counterclockwise. Sometimes, there will be more traffic jams in one direction.

A truly worthwhile place to visit. The cultural history and old town charm are all worth experiencing and appreciating. Located at a high altitude, it offers opportunities for leisurely walking, exploration, and hands-on activities. 😀🌷👍
Dukezong Ancient Town: A Slow Moment Where Tibetan Life Meets Intangible Cultural Heritage 5.0 Rating🌟 Recommended: Rich Tibetan charm, vibrant intangible cultural heritage experiences, and breathtaking night views 🌟 Key Highlights 1. Faith and Scenery in Harmony: A must-see at Guishan Park's world-largest prayer wheel! It requires the combined efforts of several people, and after three turns, the bells chime softly, sunlight filtering through the cracks, creating a captivating atmosphere. From the park's perch, you can overlook the ancient town. At sunset, the crimson walls and the rosy glow of the sunset create stunning photos. 2. Immersive Intangible Cultural Heritage Experiences: The Ancient Town Intangible Cultural Heritage Center holds hidden surprises. Learn to paint thangkas with a master artist, and feel the solemnity of faith as your fingertips trace the lines. The natural aroma of Tibetan incense wafts through the Tibetan incense-making area, and listen to volunteers explain the wisdom of combining over 30 ingredients—an experience far beyond your expectations. Moonlight Square occasionally hosts intangible cultural heritage folk song performances. These a cappella performances are truly soul-stirring, and even if you don't understand the lyrics, you'll still be moved. 3. Nightscape and fireworks blend: After dark, Guozhuang dance music fills Sifang Square, and Tibetans lead tourists in hand-in-hand circles, melting the distance between strangers in laughter. The illuminated ancient city resembles the grandeur of the Tea-Horse Road, with cobblestone pavements bathed in warm light and the evening breeze mingled with the aroma of butter tea. 🍜 Food and Accommodation - Food Recommendation: The yak beef hotpot at the quiet Mani Stone Tibetan Restaurant is a must-try. The broth is cooked with barley cakes and local mushrooms, creating a rich, meaty and mushroomy aroma. The 3294 barley yogurt sprinkled with sugar offers a sweet and sour taste that's perfect for relieving greasiness. The Tibetan fragrant pork barbecue is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the chili powder makes it even more fragrant with every chew. - Accommodation Recommendation: Prioritize Tibetan-style guesthouses within the ancient city. Some offer courtyards and view rooms, where you can see the prayer wheels just by opening the curtains. Remember to ask in advance if there's oxygen supply, which will make you feel more at ease at an altitude of 3,300 meters. ⚠️ Pitfalls to Avoid 1. Avoid buying handmade Tibetan knives when shopping. They can't be taken on planes or high-speed trains, and mailing them is also troublesome. For yak jerky, choose bulk yak jerky that you can sample to avoid synthetic meat. 2. When joining a tour group, confirm the itinerary details. Some tourists have experienced reduced sightseeing time and unauthorized shopping. We recommend choosing a small tour group and keeping the contract. 3. Avoid strenuous exercise upon arrival. Oxygen cylinders at pharmacies are cheaper at 15 yuan per can than at the scenic area. Avoid drinking butter tea on an empty stomach to prevent gastrointestinal discomfort. 💡 Practical Tips - Best time to visit: 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM. During the day, visit the intangible cultural heritage sites and turn the prayer wheels. In the evening, watch the sunset. At night, enjoy Guozhuang dance and the night view. - Outfit suggestion: Wear a white long skirt with a navy blue shawl, or a black sweatshirt with a red scarf. Avoid bright colors that clash with the red clay walls. - Respect customs: Turn prayer wheels clockwise, remove shoes when entering Tibetan houses, and ask permission before photographing locals. The beauty of Dukezong lies in the slow pace of time, not the rush of checking off a checklist, but in the rhythm of the prayer wheels, the sound of the fluttering prayer flags, and the warmth of the butter tea offered by the Tibetans. Don't rush yourself here; just follow the rhythm of the wind.

A Half-Day at Green Lake: Hiding Kunming's Gentleness in a Lake of Lotus Leaves and Gulls' Cries Autumn in Kunming always carries a gentle, unhurried quality, and this gentle essence is largely hidden in Green Lake Park. Entering the park in the slanting afternoon sunlight, the first thing that catches the eye is the lake full of green leaves. A few lotus flowers, still holding their withered petals, don't appear desolate; instead, they add a touch of poetic beauty, like "leaving behind withered lotus leaves to listen to the sound of rain." The lake water is shallow, reflecting the weeping crabapple trees on the shore. A breeze blows, the branches sway gently, and the water's surface shatters into a shimmering sheet of gold. Walking slowly along the lakeside path, the path is paved with bluestone slabs, and pavilions and towers stand beside you. Elderly people sit under the shade of trees; some play chess, the sound of chess pieces hitting the board crisp and clear; others sing Yunnan opera, their melodious voices blending with the occasional cries of waterbirds skimming across the lake. Children chased bubbles, their laughter startling a few ducks who fluttered into the water, leaving ripples in their wake, before resurfacing to preen their feathers. As we reached the pavilion in the middle of the lake, a gentle breeze stirred. The willows along the shore drooped their thousands of branches like green curtains, brushing against our cheeks with the fresh scent of grass and trees. Inside the pavilion, an elderly man played the erhu, the melody of "Colorful Clouds Chasing the Moon" flowing softly, blending seamlessly with the lake and mountain scenery, making us slow down and want to cherish this moment of tranquility. As dusk fell, the setting sun bathed the lake in a warm orange glow. The distant Western Hills appeared and disappeared in the twilight, while nearby lotus lanterns lit up one after another, their light and shadow shimmering on the water, as if we had stumbled into a Jiangnan night. Sitting on a bench by the lake, watching tourists disperse in twos and threes, listening to the gentle lapping of the water against the shore, I suddenly understood why Kunming is called the "Spring City"—the wind here is warm, the scenery is gentle, and even time seems exceptionally generous, willing to linger for a moment for everyone who stops by. As I left, I glanced back at Green Lake in the night. It lacks the grandeur of famous mountains and rivers, but possesses a soothing warmth. This half-day, without the rush of hurried travel, only the leisurely pace, was like a gentle encounter, filling my heart with joy. Perhaps this is the charm of Green Lake; with its clear water, verdant shade, and the cry of a seagull, it tells every visitor: life should be like this, serene and beautiful. (Need me to adapt this article into a short caption suitable for WeChat Moments?)
I've also been to Cuihu Park. Most of it feels like any other city park, though there are some traditional Chinese-style buildings, such as the Guanyu Tower. The reflections of the blue sky and white clouds in the pond create a beautiful scene. If you're not in a rush to shop, you can spend half a day here enjoying a cup of tea. It's quite relaxing. Of course, there are also some young women snapping photos to enhance the scenery. There are many ancient ginkgo trees in the park, and it's hard to imagine how beautiful they must be when their leaves are golden.

Taiping Lake Forest Town is absolutely stunning, like stepping into a fairytale. My favorite spots are "In the Clouds," "Zixia Lake," and Monet's Garden—every photo is a true masterpiece. Taiping Lake was a truly worthwhile trip to Mile! You can rent electric carts within the scenic area, which is incredibly convenient! The restrooms are also incredibly clean, and the brown sugar ginger tea is incredibly thoughtful and warm!
The park is huge. We rented a four-seater electric car at the starting point. Having a car is great. We wandered around the park. First, we saw the bougainvillea flower wall, then the flower statue of Princess Taiping from a high vantage point. Then we went to the lily field. The fragrance was amazing and beautiful! The lake in the park is very quiet and perfect for lounging. Finally, we went to the desertification area. The cacti, prickly pear, pine trees, and red maple trees were beautiful.
