圣热尔韦昂瓦列尔周勃Toledo Cathedral is the third largest cathedral in Spain. It is grand in scale and exquisitely decorated inside, with murals and sculptures everywhere, each one delicate and vivid. In particular, the unique skylight design inside the cathedral is ingenious, showcasing the exquisite sculptures and increasing the amount of natural light, making it both beautiful and practical!

生长在海边的果果I drove from Madrid to Cordoba and visited the ancient city. Due to time constraints, I only visited the cathedral, the San Martin Bridge, and the observation deck. This ancient city is still worth a day to visit.

旅の径Located on the west side of the ancient city of Toledo, the San Martin Bridge is a medieval bridge across the Tagus River. Construction began in the 13th century and was completed in the late 14th century. Two Gothic-style defense towers stand at the bridgehead. The five-arch stone bridge with one large arch and four small arches is similar to the Zhaozhou Bridge in my country. Looking at the stone bridge, the mottled appearance tells the vicissitudes of history, the city emblem at the bridgehead shows the immortal glory, and the monastery in the distance blooms with a tall figure...

旅の径The Alcázar Castle in Toledo is located at the highest point of the ancient city. It is a castle with a long history and a tragic fate. In the third century, a Roman palace was built; in the tenth century, after Muslims conquered Toledo, they built this commanding height of the ancient city into a fortress; in the eleventh century, Christianity recaptured Toledo and built a castle here; during the reign of Carlos I in the sixteenth century, the castle was converted into a royal palace; after his successor Philip II moved the capital to Madrid, the castle lost its original important status and served as a prison, barracks, workshop and military academy. During the Spanish Civil War, the castle was severely damaged in the war; after the war, in order to commend the soldiers guarding the castle, Franco ordered the castle to be rebuilt as it was, and it has been preserved to this day. Today's castle is square, magnificent and majestic; the bottom floor of the castle has some ruins left as a memorial; the main body of the castle has become a military museum and library; the top floor of the castle has a 360° panoramic view of the beautiful scenery of the ancient city.

翱翔的大鲨鱼Such a fine city only operated for a few decades. After the Spanish arrived, they destroyed and abandoned it. The stones of the buildings in the city were taken away to build churches and houses. In the 1970s, the Ecuadorian authorities began to carry out conservation and archaeological work in the ancient city of Cuenca. Some people also returned the stones and piled them in the city. But many of the ones I saw had holes in them because they were used as foundations for building houses.

MaryJoy Dela Cruz GonzalesThe cloisters and church are full of beautiful details, well worth a look. Wonderful old monastery. Although it is a bit far from the center of Toledo, it is worth visiting. The ticket was quite reasonable, only 3 euro per adult.

旅の径The ancient city of Toledo has many attractions, and the Bisagra Gate is not to be missed. Bisagra Gate, the main gate of the ancient city of Toledo, was built during the Moorish rule and rebuilt in 1559 during the reign of King Carlos I of Spain. The magnificent gate consists of three parts: On the north side - two huge cylindrical fortresses, with an arched gate in the middle, and the imperial emblem of Carlos I - the imperial double-headed eagle engraved above the gate. On the south side - the towering Gemini spire tower, with a porcelain painting inlaid on the inner wall, under the head of Cervantes is written an inscription to Toledo: the glory of Spain, the light of the Spanish city. In the middle - the courtyard surrounded by the gate and the tower, which resembles a Chinese-style urn city, was an armory in ancient times, and now there is a statue of Carlos I in the courtyard. Tips: When visiting Toledo, most tourists enter the ancient city from the Bisagra Gate.
