Train stations in Blackpool
Blackpool has three stations: Blackpool North, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, and Blackpool South. The city’s main station is Blackpool North. Open and staffed 24 hours a day, it is a 12-minute walk from the beach and has a tram stop adjacent to the station entrance. Services are operated by Northern and Avanti West Coast, traveling to and from Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, London, and Liverpool.
Trains serving Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Blackpool South are operated by Northern on the same line. Blackpool Pleasure Beach station is just ten minutes away from the Pleasure Beach Resort amusement park, and Blackpool South is a 13-minute walk from the Sandcastle Waterpark. The stations provide direct access to Kirkham, Wesham, Lytham St Annes, and Preston. Passengers can sit back, relax and enjoy the views from the train window. Trains from the airport to Blackpool
The closest airports to Blackpool are Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Manchester Airport, both around 40 miles (64 kilometers) away. If you’re flying into Liverpool, take the 80A/86A bus to Liverpool South Parkway station (about 16 minutes) and then two Northern trains to Blackpool North, changing at Liverpool Lime Street. Services run up to three times an hour. The journey is around 1 hour and 43 minutes, costing around £7.00 when booked in advance.
Manchester Airport has direct trains to Blackpool North every hour, as well as a station within walking distance. It takes roughly 1 hour and 35 minutes to reach the resort town. Fares start from £6.00.
