What is Frecciargento?

Frecciargento (which in Italian means "silver arrow") is a category of Frecce trains operated by Italy's principal rail company Trenitalia. These trains run on medium and long-distance routes and can operate on both high-speed and conventional lines.
Reaching speeds of around 250 km/h, Frecciargento's ETR 485 trains reduce journey times between some of Italy's major cities, including Rome, Naples, Genoa and Bari, and are designed to offer a strong balance of speed, comfort and accessibility.
Onboard, Frecciargento offers modern services in both first and second class, including ergonomic seating, at-seat power sockets, free Wi-Fi, access to the FrecciaPlay entertainment portal and a FrecciaBistrò bar carriage.
