Compare 5 airports near Atami

For most travelers, Haneda Airport (HND) is the clear primary choice; it is the closest airport, handles a vast range of domestic and international flights, and offers the fastest, most efficient transport links to the city center via the Shinkansen. While Narita International Airport (NRT) is a major international gateway, it is significantly further away and necessitates a longer, more costly journey into Tokyo before connecting to Atami. Shizuoka Airport (FSZ), located in a neighboring city, is a useful regional alternative for specific domestic routes, though its transit connection to Atami is less frequent than the Tokyo hubs. The other options, Nagoya Airport (NKM) and Shinshu-Matsumoto Airport (MMJ), are located in distant cities and are generally not recommended unless you are already traveling within those regions. For the best experience, prioritize Haneda for its convenience and speed, reserving the more distant regional airports only if they offer a significantly more practical or affordable flight path for your specific origin.

Facilities: Basic toiletries are conveniently self-service and available by the elevator. Service: The front desk staff's English is good, and they patiently guide you through the check-in process. Environment: It's very close to the station, so all your usual food, drinks, and convenience stores are within 500m. The rooms are much larger compared to typical Tokyo accommodations. P.S. For my fellow Chinese compatriots who need hot water, remember to ask the front desk for a kettle, as it's not standard in the rooms. You can leave it in the room when you check out. Breakfast: Simple, just sandwiches and coffee or black tea. You'll definitely need to supplement it if you plan an active morning. If you want to pack it to go, you'll need to bring your own bag. The good thing is it starts early, from 7 AM.

The room, the large public bath, the food, everything was fine, but during dinner I discovered a cockroach on the floor near the buffet. I think it was because the leftover food was left on the table instead of being cleared away, but I think they should do something about it.

The room was actually quite spacious, bright, and comfortable, with clean beds and a fantastic full ocean view. However, the facilities were a bit dated. Also, probably due to staff shortages, the hotel offered guests staying multiple nights a 2000 JPY credit per night if they opted out of housekeeping, which could be used at the hotel's outlets. The hotel's location was a bit tricky to find. Arriving at night, the navigation led us through small alleyways and stone steps. Carrying luggage up those steps was quite a struggle 😰, and after descending the stone steps, we still had to climb a slope… 😂. I'd recommend taking a taxi if you're arriving late! Overall, this hotel was very comfortable, and it was a pleasant end to our in-depth trip.

Very nice hotel. The main entrance is on the side of the hotel. The hotel's breakfast is ok, the dinner is average, but the hotel's outdoor hot spring is great, the female guest department is a fence made of plants, and it is great even in winter in the morning and evening

The best hotel in Atami! On the day of check-in and check-out, you get one free taxi ride to the station – just tell the driver your destination and you can hop off without paying. The rooms are spacious and come with a private hot spring tub, and the minibar is complimentary. The public onsen also offers free drinks. Dinner is included in the room rate, but I'd recommend skipping it since Atami has plenty of great restaurants. Breakfast is very international and suitable for Chinese tastes. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Atami!

The building is not new, but the cleaning is well done despite the reasonable price. Yukata is prepared in the room, but the lobby also has a color yukata and color band for women, so I could choose it myself. The lobby also has a self-service water server, tea pack and coffee. It was very good that there was a shampoo bar in the bathroom. Amenities were also substantial and I was saved because I had a lot of skin care supplies. After all, I was happy that the hair dryer in the make-up area for women beside the hot spring was a repronizer and a refa. There was also a refa hair iron. The dryer in the room was also Saronia, so I felt that they were thinking about the service that women would like compared to ordinary inns and hotels. There was tea, detox water and ice in the dressing space. (both men's and women's baths)

Good place to stay. Spacious room for 3 adults and 2 children. Close to a good beach. Not far from the station. Nice host, drove us to the station when leaving. We used the kitchen and dishes on the 1st floor. We saw that there was a washing machine on the 1st floor, but did not use it and did not clarify whether it could be used by guests. We were there for 8 nights, the room was not cleaned, it did not matter to us. Towels were changed.

Excellent hotel. Beautiful, clean, traditional. The onsen was beautiful with a view of their garden. The water was heated perfectly with immaculately clean water. All amenities were offered when you stepped out into the changing room, ear buds, lotion, hair perfume, shampoo and conditioner. As you exit to your room there are two massage chairs to enjoy. The room we stayed in was perfect, It had a view of the bay, a big balcony, and three separate rooms. I was traveling with my son and this afforded me a private room to change my clothes and be separated while we slept. Freshly pressed kimonos were provided for the Onsen or/and to attend breakfast in. Now I'll talk about the highlight.! The breakfast buffet and dinner were included in the very reasonable price. The breakfast was extensive with fish, eggs, yogurt, homemade delicious jams, salads, fresh fruit, natto, sausages, rolls, bread, pastries, a coffee machine with choice of lattes, cappuccino, etc, a juice machine, fresh milk from famous Tanna dairy, and more! It was amazing! Dinner was also delicious, changing every night with selections such as broiled fish set, fried chicken set, steak set, all were seasoned well and perfectly cooked. All came with soup, rice, main entree and dessert. The staff were welcoming, kind and caring, friendly. The manager even sent me a special note about a piece of art I was curious about. Highly, highly recommend this Ryokan. I never wanted to leave. It's just outside of Atami, in the hills, beautiful location. Go, relax, nurture yourself, I did 😊🥰

I chose to stay in this low-key hotel on the mountain in Atami City. Although I had to take a taxi to get in and out, I actually didn’t want to leave the hotel and my room after checking in. The scenery outside is very beautiful, there is a private onsen in the room, and the hotel services and facilities are impeccable. You can go to the lounge to have a drink, eat snacks and watch the sunset before dinner! The hotel’s dinner serves Japanese food presented to guests in a French style. The menu can be fine-tuned according to each guest’s taste requirements and will be signed off by the responsible waiter for confirmation! With such serious service, you will definitely be satisfied with breakfast and dinner! Three days and two nights accommodation, great value for money service and enjoyment!

This place claims to be associated with Fufu, but it feels quite different from many aspects of Fufu. Anyway, the discount vouchers issued here can't be used. There are only four rooms here, and all meals (breakfast/dinner) and activities take place in the Lounge. Downstairs is the hot spring bath, which requires advance booking. There aren't many staff, but their attitude is good, and the food and drinks provided are decent. The internet is good, and the bed and pillows are comfortable. However, the facilities are a bit dated. What's somewhat amusing is that despite all my questions before arrival, nothing was done according to the answers once I got here. It's as if they have no interest in providing better service, beyond perhaps prying into personal information.

Good: The hotel is close to the beach and a 6-minute walk from the JR station. It has a large public bath and offers free drinks and ice cream. The hotel is very new. Bad: The hotel price is a bit high. The parking lot is behind the hotel, which is a bit inconvenient for entry and exit and requires staff assistance. Parking costs 1000 yen per night. Perhaps there was an error when booking, as I only booked two beds. When checking in, there were two adults and one child, and we were not allowed to stay. We had to upgrade and pay extra to check in, but there were no three-bed rooms, only four-bed rooms. The staff insisted I pay extra, so in the end, I had no choice but to pay an additional 25,000+ yen per night, totaling 51,000 yen for two nights. I had no choice but to pay. Aside from this rigid rule, everything else was good. I will not stay here again or recommend it to friends.

Very satisfied with a stay experience, the room was very large, clean and comfortable. All balconies face the sea and bring 𠕇 private hot spring baths. Our family of five booked three rooms on two websites. The hotel contacted us in advance to learn about the height of the guests (with suitable bathrobes) and eating habits, specially for the cooked food that is not eaten raw. Dinner and breakfast are very delicious and the ingredients are fresh. The menu for two days has changed. The fish has lobster, sweet shrimp and various local season fresh fish and salmon. The cows are also fried in place, suitable for your requirements! The rooms are modern and simple and combine the style of traditional Japanese-style hotels. We have two Japanese-style rooms and one Western-style rooms, which are quite satisfactory to each other. Lounge on the eighth floor, facing the sea to taste cold, hot coffee and green tea, Japanese snacks and fruits, but also can be soaked in the feet from the balcony, you can get a good rest without the shop! The seventh floor has a good view and complete outdoor style... All the staff of the hotel are very warm, courteous and very professional! This is the most satisfying hotel for our family's vacation in Japan. We feel 100 points of the hotel and meet again next year!
