The hotel lobby is actually on the second floor. Luckily, there's an elevator on the ground floor; otherwise, it would have been difficult to carry my luggage up to the lobby. The hotel seems to be a business-oriented establishment. The service was adequate, without major errors but not very efficient. On the day I checked out, there was only one person at the front desk because they needed to contact a taxi company for me. The people checking in after me seemed a bit rushed, and no other staff came to help. The room facilities were old; the desk lamp wasn't working, and they only replaced it with a working one after I requested it (they initially said they would come to repair it the next day, but I insisted on replacing it that day). The room phone also didn't work, so I had to make an international call to the front desk to request a replacement lamp. The next day, after breakfast, my room key wouldn't work, so I had to go to the front desk. After that, it still wouldn't work at my room door, so I had to go back to the front desk again, which was a bit of a hassle, although the front desk staff were friendly. While the breakfast selection was up to four-star standards, the replenishment was extremely slow. During my stay, the breakfast area wasn't even full; I can't imagine what it would be like when it was full. Overall, my stay was not very good. The location is good; the castle is within walking distance, and the Parma gate is very close.FromUS$70

Very basic accommodations at a reasonable price. I paid $40 USD 20 minutes before I checked in. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the train station but there are not many hotels close to the train station so that is not really an option. The apartment was very nice. The location was very good. We were right in the city centre. they had a kitchen which made it easy to cook own meals also washing machine to clean out clothes. It was very clean. There were too large beds that were very comfortable. However, the only issue was that there was no available parking however the staff did recommend a place to park which was very helpful. Overall, I’d recommend this place to stay.FromUS$54
