Super cool hotel, honey! In the jungle, by the river. Excellent service, fantastic breakfasts. Keep in mind: amenities are minimal – bamboo huts with fans and no air conditioning, refrigerator, or TV. But the real thrill is in this authenticity. It's a really cool atmosphere, far from civilization. The showers have cold water, but washing under it is a pure pleasure. To be fair, on the third day I discovered a separate shower with warm water. The food is home-cooked, delicious, and inexpensive. We were on bikes and had no problems. But keep in mind that the hotel is quite far from the highway. I recommend getting transport. Plus, there are hilarious ginger cats at the hotel.FromUS$26

But when we rested at night, the room was accompanied by power outages, and even a power outage in the second half of the night, and I was woken up by the heat. It's convenient to get to Khao Sok in the morning, but getting to the hotel is not exactly easy. If a kind woman hadn't given me a ride, I don't know how it would have worked out. Television enthusiasts, beware! The TV signal was virtually non-existent, rendering any hopes of entertainment futile. For those seeking a digital detox, this might be a blessing in disguise, but for most, it's a disappointing setback.
Moreover, the resort's remote location proved to be a logistical challenge. Situated far from civilization, guests are left dependent on their vehicles or taxis to venture anywhere beyond the confines of the property. Be aware a bus or van from Surat Thani to Khao Sok national park does not come near the property. Double check your bookings in and out and I would not recommend any tight time schedules to the airport.
However, amidst these shortcomings, one saving grace was the kindness of the staff. Despite the challenges, the staff remained courteous and accommodating, striving to mitigate the shortcomings of the establishment. The staff arranged all my transport albeit a little haphazardly.
In conclusion, while the remote resort boasts a serene ambiance and amiable staff, the isolation in transport terms would require a traveler with vehicle.
It is 5km from the dam and daily boat tours on the extensive lake amid magnificent karysts. Warning do not swim in the lake it's heavily polluted with sewerage.FromUS$43

I found many places without detailed information. Here is my experience. This is a one-price all-inclusive resort located in Khao Sok National Park. It is located in the center of Xiulan Lake. Therefore, you have to use long-tail boats to get in and out. The price is small but the experience is very good, including lunch and dinner on the first day and breakfast on the second day, a one-hour boat trip, and round-trip transfer service. After booking, you need to arrive at Xiulan Lake Pier before 11 o'clock on the day of check-in, and find a staff who wears a green T to pick you up. Because the entire lake is within the park, you must first buy a park ticket to enter the boat. Check-out and return time are at Around 9:30 in the morning. The whole staying experience is very good, the staff are warm and friendly, the food is delicious, and the scenery is great. Overall, I had a pleasant stay at Caligo Resort. The property is beautifully designed and offers a very relaxing atmosphere. The quiet location really stands out, making it ideal for unwinding and escaping daily life.
However, there were a few things that slightly detracted from the overall experience. Upon arrival, two complimentary bottles of water were provided, which was much appreciated. Unfortunately, these were not refilled during the following two days.
The Jacuzzi was a nice idea for relaxation, but blossoms kept coming out of the jets, dirtying the water. After draining the water, the tiled floor also remained covered in water, which made it a bit less comfortable.
Breakfast was a buffet on the first morning, and for the next two days, we could choose from three menus. Regrettably, at the buffet, items like fruit or croissants were not refilled once they ran out. Also, small extra requests—like chili for the rice soup or orange juice instead of milk—were not accommodated.
Communication was primarily via WhatsApp whenever possible. This became a bit tiring over time, as many questions were asked that, from our perspective, weren't always necessary. This made us feel a bit controlled rather than relaxed at times, even though it was surely well-intentioned.
Despite these points, the stay remains positive overall, as the resort's fundamental concept and surroundings are truly lovely. With some improvements in service, the experience could be significantly enhanced.FromUS$94
