Airport Guide

Compare 4 airports near Beirut

For the vast majority of travelers, Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport (BEY) is the only logical gateway to the city. It is the sole airport located within Beirut itself, providing rapid access to the city center via taxi or pre-booked transfers. In contrast, all other airports on this list serve neighboring countries and are not airports of Beirut; they are located significantly far away and involve complex international border crossings that are often impractical for standard tourism. Damascus International Airport (DAM), while the closest regional alternative, requires a lengthy, multi-hour road journey. Haifa Airport (HFA) and the remote Latakia International Airport (LTK) involve even longer transit times and further legal or logistical hurdles. Travelers should prioritize direct flights to BEY to avoid the stress and time consumption of cross-border overland travel. If you must use a distant airport, ensure all travel documentation is in order for border transit, though we strongly recommend keeping your arrival within Lebanon to maximize your time and safety.

staff friendly n helpful. location optimal for local bars n snack shops n the touristic site ”pigeon rock”. price is fair, given the high inflation of this country. but it would be so much better if they could provide warmer water for shower. it feels like the bathroom water is only lukewarm, n thats hard to deal with when one visits in winter...

This hotel is an anime cartoon theme, and the elevators and corridors are all anime-themed characters from the Avengers. There is a western restaurant outside on the first floor. The outside environment is average. It is full of all kinds of cars, so it is not easy to find. Breakfast is on the top floor with a view across Lebanon. There is a swimming pool, gym, but no hot springs.

The hotel is beautiful, clean and the location is very central. However the indoor pool in the spa was being emptied in the middle of the day when we tried to use it. Service around the outdoor pool was bit slack for the prices you are paying. However the biggest problem was parking. Felt like we were being taken on a ride, we were told that a full day parking was $25 which we paid, despite the fact that is a really extortinate price for the area, however at the end of our stay we were told that the $25 covers 8 hours only so we were charged twice and extra $9 for an additional three hours stay. So in total we paid $59 for around 20hours of parking which sounds extreme, not to mention the rude way we’re asked to pay. It was the experience I was hoping for, I am unlikely to go back, which is a shame because it is such a historical and beautiful hotel.

The location at the hotel is good, the room liked, breakfast for three, every day the same, humus and sauces are acid, eggs are wet. There was also a displeasant situation that turned out when we had already evicted. The safe in the room didn't work and we left the wallet under the things. And later found out that it was not enough $100. Nowhere except in the hotel they could not go missing. So I advise everyone to be vigilant, no money in the room to leave and insist on a correct safe. Apparently the room service staff is unfair.

The hotel was good and pleasant, lost power is a normal thing in Lebanon. The hotel has very good back up battery for that and return with electricity within 1 minute. The only thing was that the water for shower is somehow salty, despite this point, I will return again.

The room was a bit old, but the cleanliness was acceptable. The room was quite large and had a large desk. If you need to be close to the city, it could be a good choice.
