For the vast majority of visitors, Bohol–Panglao International Airport (TAG) is the most practical entry point. Located on Panglao Island, it serves as the primary gateway to the province of Bohol and is the only airport within the region, providing direct access to tourism hubs like Alona Beach. In contrast, Mactan-Cebu International Airport (CEB) is a major international hub in a neighboring city, requiring travelers to manage a land transfer followed by a ferry crossing to reach Bohol. While CEB offers more extensive flight connectivity, the logistics of a ferry journey add significant travel time. The other options, including Laguindingan Airport (CGY), Sibulan Airport (DGT), and Daniel Z. Romualdez Airport (TAC), are located in different cities entirely and are generally only viable if you are already touring those regions. Travelers prioritize convenience should stick to TAG, while those seeking wider flight availability or budget options may opt for the CEB route.

The views are incredible, and the beach was perfect – lots of starfish and sea urchins. It's so peaceful here; you can really see the stars at night. The architecture also has a great local feel. My kids didn't want to leave. The amazing environment makes up for everything else.

Pretty good, very clean. Everything about the place really highlights that vacation feel. The forest is so peaceful, with only the sounds of birds. From the room, you can only hear the playful splashing from the pool, and at the beach, just the waves. The only downside is that the bathroom makes some noise, probably the sound of water.

The hotel is good and offers great value for money. The staff and bellboys are all very nice. There are two pools with sea views. It would be even better if the hotel provided complimentary airport shuttle service.

I planned a 5-day, 4-night trip to Bohol and stayed at two hotels. Choosing BW for the third and fourth nights was truly shocking. On the day we checked in, our itinerary ran until after 8 PM, followed by dinner and a massage, so we didn't get to our room until 11 PM. After a shower, I just crashed and didn't pay much attention. The next morning, I woke up early, went to the restaurant for breakfast, and then came back to the room for a short rest. The housekeeping staff had already made the bed (I'm not sure if they changed the sheets or just tidied them up). Suddenly, I saw a bloodstain on the bottom edge of the sheet! I was absolutely disgusted, thinking I might have slept under that comforter last night. It's truly outrageous for a four-star resort hotel to have such quality.

We booked 2 sea-view rooms, but if you’re staying on the lower floors, you’ll mostly see the rooftops instead of the sea. I also wouldn’t recommend visiting during this month/season because of the low tide. I feel like it would be better to visit during summer when the water is clearer and the beach is more enjoyable. The staff were very welcoming, and they even provided welcome drinks! The service was exceptional, the Wi-Fi in the rooms worked well, and the AC was nice and cold. The building also looks new and well-maintained. The only concern was the check-in process—it took quite a while, and we waited for about an hour before we could check in. However, they were kind enough to offer us a late check-out to make up for the waiting time, which we really appreciated. Breakfast buffet is 5 stars! All in all, we had a good experience. I’d definitely consider coming back, this time with my husband! ❤️

It’s very close to Alona Beach, it’s very safe, and it’s very convenient to call a tutu car at the door. I ordered breakfast included, and I was full of energy every day to eat freshly made breakfast. Looking at the swimming pool inside the resort, the sun is shining, especially Comfortable, the manager, the proprietress, and the waiters are very careful to take care of everything and respond to requests. The room environment has basic needs, but it cannot be compared with domestic hotels. After all, Bohol Island is a semi-developed island, and the surrounding environment is relatively natural and simple

To sum it up, I was extremely satisfied! We were a group of four couples, university friends, and we stayed in two Zen Villas. Each Zen Villa has two bedrooms, a living room, and a kitchen, with a bathroom in every room, so it was perfectly comfortable for two couples. The large dining table was great for all eight of us to gather and socialize every evening. They even provided a microwave, induction cooktop, cutlery set, and refrigerator, which was fantastic – we were able to cook seaweed soup for a friend's birthday! The swimming pool was large enough for ball games, and the exotic trees and landscaping throughout the resort were absolutely beautiful. I'll never forget the sunset on the first day. Even after the sun went down, the sky transformed into various shades of red for a long time... it was truly magnificent. Even on a rainy day, the bamboo bridge through the mangrove forest was incredibly atmospheric. When they heard it was our friend's birthday, they even prepared a lovely little cake with a birthday message! Plus, on our last day, after our tour, we got free access to the Oceanica Day Use facilities. For breakfast, you just fill out a form the night before at the lobby, specifying your menu, preferred time, and whether you want room service, dining at the restaurant, or a packed meal. The food and desserts were clearly made with care, and every meal was a delight. A big thank you to all the resort staff! ^^

Great place to have a relaxing time. The oceanview is amazing. The owner and all people working there are very nice an friendly. All facilities are clean, well maintained and in very good condition. One of the owners is a German guy and there are a couple of German beers and a lot of German dishes on the menu. Our kids loved the schnitzel 😊. There is a diving center of a French family just 5min walking distance at the beach which I can also highly recommend. Very large reef just 5min by boat where you can do plenty of dives. Absolute recommendation for the whole place!

The hotel is located in Anda, away from the complex of Panglao and Tagbilaran. The entire resort has 16 rooms, closed management, very good privacy, with large white sand beaches and clean sea water. The hotel's double rowing boats and skateboards can be played for free. If you are not tall, you can snorkel at the beachside of the hotel. For free, the hotel’s diving club also provides life jackets. There are several professional diving instructors in the hotel's diving club to teach diving. The hotel's boat is going out for diving three times a day (for a fee). As long as ten minutes of boating, both my husband and I participated, seeing turtles and many fish and corals, regret it. In Panglao, I wasted time to go to Baricasa. There are many similar faults and corals on the bottom of Anda, so I can see a lot of things and the one-on-one coach here is very safe. Many guests are diving two times a day. However, this resort is located in Anda, two hours drive from Tagbilaran, renting a car from Tagbilaran to 3000P, we have a car park from Panglao to play the Butterfly Garden, the tarsier reserve and the Chocolate Hill total 5000P fare. It’s expensive, but it’s worth it. It’s not comparable to Panglao ALONA. The beach is white and delicate, and the sea is quiet and beautiful. It is suitable for families who like quiet vacation. Need to remind domestic tourists that the resort does not provide disposable items in order to reduce garbage, you need to bring your own toothbrush slippers, etc., and three meals a day are in the resort, there is basically no possibility of going out for food, wifi is slightly worse, from time to time dropped, but The original nature of the resort is kept very good, the service staff is professional and enthusiastic, the resort lives next to the OWNER family, and comes to chat with guests every day.

From the main road, you have to go for more than 1 km on a narrow, dirt road. The view of the slums unfolded along the way is not pleasant. The view inside and outside the hotel is different. The hotel's interior is satisfying except for meals. Swimming pool and traditional interior view The meals served in the Philippines are formalized like Spain and the United States, but the contents are poor and the taste is worst. I feel the same everywhere, so those who go to the Philippines must take part.

The resort is perfect. Rooms are modern, very clean, and designed for ultimate relaxation. Has comfy beds: Mattresses are soft and give you a cozy sleep after a long day at the beach. The rooftop infinity pool on the fourth floor offers breathtaking views of the ocean. Friendly staff. Location is superb : You are just steps away from the soft sand of Alona Beach and close to local restaurants and the morning breakfast buffet offers a huge variety of tasty local and international dishes..

We were so happy with our 4 nights at Bohol Shores. We loved the pool. It was nice and spacious for my girls to swim around in. The pool villa was also very nice and we loved the shallow access to the pool. The shower pressure and temperature wasn’t great at first but when we requested repair, they efficiently replaced the nozzle to make a larger spout and also made the temperature much hotter. So we were very impressed with their proactive approach to make us happy. All the staff are so kind and friendly and accommodating and helped us book drivers etc. It’s a short walk to the ocean but it’s rocky not very beach like but had amazing sea life like hermit crabs and interesting shells which we didn’t see as much at the beaches. Then the hotel arranged a 10 min Tuk Tuk where we went to Dumaluan beach and enjoyed a family beach day. We entered Dumaluan through the Dumaluan beach resort (100 pesos per person). In my opinion Dumaluan beach is much better than Alona beach. More space to swim and less crowded. The location is also walking distance to the Bohol Bee Farm which we enjoyed eating lunch at. All in all, we are very happy with this resort and would recommend it!

The room was very clean. We arrived early and the hotel kindly arranged an available room for us to rest in. It's about a five to six-minute walk to the beach, cutting through the Hannah resort in front. The hotel's Alona beach area is also very clean, located at one end of the beach. It's considered a more upscale resort on Boracay.

The hotel room was beautifully designed and the bed was super comfortable. The bathroom area was spacious and I liked that the toilet was in a separate space. We had breakfast and lunch at Restaurant Uma, and both the food and service there were good. The irony is that this is the only place where we received good service at the hotel. From check-in, my name was repeatedly addressed incorrectly as 'Mr' instead of 'Ms', both verbally by staff and in emails and greetjng cards. Despite pointing this out to the manager on Day 2, I was still addressed as 'Mr' during check out on Day 3. This was very annoying and showed a lack of attention to detail. We also noticed that some guests were served welcome drinks while others were not, which appeared quite selective. Our room was also missing the beach bag, although the staff sent one over immediately after I pointed this out. What truly disappointed us was that on Day 1, when we returned to our room after dinner, we found that our room door had been left open by the turndown service staff. All our valuables and travel documents were inside the room. The hotel checked the CCTV and insisted that this was an “isolated case.” However, we have still not received any written incident report or follow-up email regarding what happened. Leaving a guest room unsecured after turndown service is a serious operational failure. When we raised the issue with the manager, the hotel offered complimentary spa treatments and a bottle of wine as a gesture of goodwill. However, it was offered too late and we did not have time to use the spa, and we could not drink the wine. Given the seriousness of the incident, these gestures felt rather disconnected from the actual issue and did little to address our concerns. What we would have expected was a proper explanation, written follow-up and a meaningful response to the security lapse. In addition, we booked a direct pool access room specifically to enjoy the convenience and privacy of having our own pool. However, during the day, I noticed that a staff member repeatedly entered our semi-private pool area for different tasks, including picking up leaves and flowers, testing the water quality and cleaning the pool. We had virtually no privacy while we were in the room, as he kept returning to carry out these tasks. In the end, I had to ask him to leave when he appeared for the 4th time! This is a beautiful resort, but the service is severly lacking. Unfortunately, the overall experience was definitely not up to the standards I would expect from an Accor property.

Beautiful hotel and perfect location for Ironman! 🏊♀️🚴♀️🏃♀️ We stayed at Modala during the Ironman race, and it was a great choice. The hotel is beautiful, with spacious and comfortable rooms, and the location was very convenient for the event area. One thing we really enjoyed was having a small mall right next to the hotel, with around 5–6 restaurants to choose from, so there were plenty of options without having to travel far. However, in my opinion, the hotel’s own restaurant was actually the best! The food was delicious, and it was so convenient to have a good dining option right downstairs. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying at Modala again, especially for future events in the area. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
