For the vast majority of visitors, Calgary International Airport (YYC) is the primary and most practical gateway to Canmore. Located approximately 93.6 km away, this international hub offers a robust selection of shared shuttles, scheduled express buses, and rental car services that make the mountain journey both efficient and predictable. It is the only feasible option for those prioritizing speed and budget. In contrast, Canadian Rockies International Airport (YXC) is situated in a completely different region, serving the nearby city of Cranbrook. This airport is not in Canmore and requires a significant multi-hour drive through mountain passes, making it suitable only for travelers specifically visiting the Kootenay region or those who have secured unique flight connections. If your destination is strictly the Bow Valley, choose Calgary to avoid lengthy transit times. Always book your shuttle transfers in advance, as last-minute options are limited, particularly during peak ski and summer seasons.

Because Banff’s hotels are too expensive, I live in the town of Kenmore. I have a Safeway grocery shopping restaurant. I cook in the hotel and eat too much. I have a room and a room. There is a big bed in the room. There is a sofa bed with an electric stove. Large refrigerator, washing machine, large bathtub, parking in the underground garage, direct elevator to the upper floor, and a balcony for a great barbecue experience.

It was just a 1 night stay  rooms were clean and  spacious with 2 queen beds. Elevator take little longer, Air-conditioner was noisy, nice pool with slide and hot tub we enjoyed a lot with kids. And there’s a sauna too. The best I liked was breakfast it’s very spread out and delicious. Overall it’s nice place to stay with kids we liked it. It’s close to amenities

The hotel itself is in a great location to walk to restaurant and town center and looks great from the outside. It had underground parking. They were doing hallway renovations but that was not listed when booking. The photos of the place we had were misleading as the hotel room itself was pretty run down. The leather sofa is old and stained. The sofa bed was the same and very thin mattress. For 500 a night I would have expected more

The hotel is in a great location, right on Banff Avenue. The bus to the Banff Gondola and Lake Louise is near the hotel, and the transportation is convenient. However, the hotel's sound insulation is average, the air conditioner is very loud, slippers are not provided, and the facilities are not complete.

We booked a two-bedroom suite for two adults and one child. It came with two bathrooms – one in the bedroom and another in the living room. The suite had a fully equipped kitchen, including an oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, and all dinnerware, which is absolutely perfect if you want to cook your own meals! A washing machine with laundry detergent was also provided. Housekeeping was available and kept the room very clean daily. The hotel is located in the small town of Canmore, making parking and getting around very convenient. It was very quiet at night, and the beds were comfortable. This hotel offers great value for money.

My wife and I stayed for 6 nights. The apartment was serviced half way through our stay. The kitchen was well equipped. One of the kitchen lights wasn't working. It was fixed as soon as I reported it to reception. The hotel is close to the trans-Canada highway and most guests will have a car. We didn't have a car so it was a decent hike into town. I would certainly choose the hotel for my next stay in Canmore.

Love it very much, went twice a year. Living here was very comfortable. There was no breakfast. We bought food to cook ourselves, but the kitchenware was readily available.

The view from the balcony was great. It was still too cold in May to enjoy coffee on the balcony, but I imagine it would be lovely in the summer. The 24-hour check-in was a huge plus, making it convenient even for late arrivals.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and while there were some positives, a few details left me disappointed. The hotel is new and very clean, which was great to see, but unfortunately, it fell short in some areas. One glaring issue was the table soccer in the game area – it had no balls, making it completely unusable. This might seem minor, but it’s frustrating when advertised amenities are incomplete. Additionally, many of the amenities felt incompatible or poorly thought out. Whether it was the plugs, chargers, or other facilities, things just didn’t work smoothly or as expected. Overall, while the cleanliness and newness of the hotel were impressive, the lack of attention to detail with amenities made the stay less enjoyable than it could have been.

LOVE the antique vibe and all the decorations were attention to details xo Spacious, clean, and comfy! Surprisingly quiet despite it was built on top of the pub. Front desk is NOT 24h available so make sure everything you needs are set before they close front desk. I walk from downtown to get there, 25mins walking. It was nice day so I didn’t mind but recommend to drive there.

Dead Mans Flats Canmore|7.85km from city center
The room is perfect for families as it’s spacious. The one we stayed in can accommodate up to six people, making it a great option for larger groups. Although it’s not located right in downtown Canmore, it’s only a short drive away. Our room also had a kitchen, which is perfect if you prefer to cook your own meals. Basic cooking utensils, such as pans, are provided, although some of them are a little worn and could be updated. The room itself is a little dated, and some of the chairs had damaged surfaces. It would also be better if the reception opened earlier, as it was still closed when we wanted to speak to someone at 8:15 a.m. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here.

The room was great. The whole experience makes us felt like home, and we could definitely want to stay there for a long time if we can. The best place for families for sure. The amenities were great, and the one bedroom even have two toilets. Because I booked through trip.com, somehow the hotel has issues with my payment/authorisation. But, they have definitely communicated with me very promptly prior to the visit and everything went well. Highly recommend!!!

The hotel pays great attention to detail, the facilities are clean, and the service is excellent. The front desk staff are polite, and the rooms are spotless. This was by far the most comfortable hotel during our trip. Please note that the hot spring facilities are not included in the room rate, and guests under 18 years old are not permitted to use them.
