The road in front of the hotel is too narrow, so you basically can't get in.
I took a Grab, but they told me I couldn't go any further with that car.
The hotel itself is nice, but the surrounding area is pretty trashy...
I've included a photo from my room and a photo of the building next door, where only the hotel side is painted white to make it look nice.

11/10. Been booking with Diane for quite some time, my partner and I. This has been our favorite hotel in Cebu, and we are gatekeeping it lol
But in our recent stay, I feel like we were not supposed to have the correct room that we're supposed to get, but not really sure about it. I booked a Superior Room with a City view so we can watch some fireworks during Christmas Eve, but when we came into the room, the window was a small one, and when we tried to open the window, we could only see equipment outside blocking the window and the view; the window was forced to just open maybe just 5 inches and that's it. I don't know what City View I was supposed to see. Overall, that's just my only concern. The girl from the reception wearing white did not seem happy (those that are in green uniforms are fine, I love them and those in the dining area even in the rooftop - but the girl in the reception that day idk whats with her) when giving us the room key, she was smiling a little bit, but I could feel she wanted us to just go and disappear in front of her.
Overall, we just brush it off and moved on with our day and enjoyed the view from that little window and the from the rooftop. We still love Diane's and will still keep recommending this to our friends and family ofcourse. 11/10.FromUS$22

My overall experience at Holiday Inn Cebu was quite disappointing, especially for a Holiday Inn brand. It fell far short of my expectations.
1. There was a feedback form in the room, but no pen. Does the hotel assume every guest carries their own writing tools? I couldn't even fill out the feedback form.
2. The policy of collecting a 1,500 PHP daily deposit is very unreasonable. Most hotels nowadays have abolished the deposit system, both out of trust in their guests and to enhance the check-in experience. I've stayed at many excellent hotels in Cebu, and this is the first time I've encountered a daily deposit. It inevitably makes one feel that the hotel lacks trust in its guests.
3. The room size and amenities are only comparable to budget hotels like Home Inn in China, which doesn't match Holiday Inn's brand positioning.
4. Breakfast service was chaotic. There was no staff to guide guests to tables. Many tables were empty, but there was no cutlery on them, making it difficult to find a place to eat.
5. When I went to the restaurant for breakfast, I proactively showed my room number to the front desk staff, and they confirmed it. However, during my meal, the front desk staff came over again to ask for my room number. Such basic service oversights seriously detract from the guest experience.
6. I went for breakfast at 9:30 AM, and the fruit section was almost empty. No staff refilled the fruit until I finished my meal and left.FromUS$58

First the cons ,
their in room dining and housekeeping delivery is very very slow. .For getting a bottle of water l had to wait for more than 30 mins and 5 calls . it might be cuz it was a Friday night . l didn't like their straightup bar , ambience was good but the cocktails weren't good .infact one of the cocktails l told them to change as they completely missed my instructions .
Now the Pros
The Hotel sits just beside the IT park and it connects directly to the Ayala mall . the room we were in Studio room with kitchenette had all the things necessary for a corporate long stay , refer the pictures. It has a proper functional working table for remote workers . This location l found better than the SM city side . Room was clean , comfortable beds . lot of space in the cupboard .didn't get a chance to use their swimming pool . Very modern rooms probably newly renovated or built .FromUS$57

The location is great, about a 10-minute taxi ride to Ayana and SM Shopping Center. The first floor has a variety of restaurants including pasta, Japanese food, gelato, and pizza. There's also a clean 7-Eleven and a supermarket. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The bed was narrow, only 80cm wide, which I think would be too small for men. The shower didn't have hot water, just slightly warm, and the drain was clogged, so the water didn't flow well. The kitchen and large refrigerator were a big plus; you can buy groceries from the basement supermarket and cook. I accidentally broke a glass in the room, but they cleaned it up meticulously, which I appreciate. If the shower had hot water, this would be an absolutely perfect hotel. I especially recommend it because the staff are so pleasant. I felt safe staying here and had no trouble with meals, so I give it an 80%. The only downside was the shower temperature. First off, as other reviews mentioned, the lobby guard was very friendly and opened the door for us. The breakfast was decent, and the facilities were cleaner than I expected. However, this price point just doesn't feel right for a hotel in Southeast Asia, LOL. One thing that was disappointing was that the shower drain was clogged. Even after just one person showered, the water overflowed, and since there's no threshold in the bathroom, it almost flooded the bedroom/entrance area. When the second person showered, they had to turn the water off periodically. I wondered why it was clogged, and then I saw that after the first shower, the shower filter was about a third full of hair/gunk. I specifically chose this place because other hotels had reviews about hair in the drain, but this one didn't. Turns out, it was even worse here. At this level, they must be getting a lot of complaints, especially for a 5-star hotel. This should be a mandatory cleaning item every time, but it wasn't cleaned. It was astonishing that a manager had to come the next morning and clean it with a toothbrush.FromUS$41
