I and my friends recently stayed at Millennium Sireh Hotel and found it to be a generally comfortable experience, though a few areas need attention. The room was very spacious, and the bed was remarkably comfortable, ensuring a good night's rest. A thoughtful touch was that they provided a praying mat and sarong upon request. The shower had great hot water pressure, and in most of our space, the air conditioning was nice and cold. However, in one of our rooms, the air conditioning remained noticeably less cold even after adjusting the controller.
While the accommodation was pleasant, there were a few drawbacks. The room amenities felt lacking, missing basic items like cotton buds. A major concern was the bathroom flooring—the toilet floor gets extremely slippery when wet, suggesting that the tiles chosen may not be suitable for a bathroom environment and pose a dangerous slip-and-fall risk for guests.
Breakfast overall was good, and we really appreciated that they provided a takeaway breakfast box on the day we checked out early to catch our morning flight. The location is great, just a 15-minute walk to Grand Indonesia Mall. There's a street food area one block away, and another block further there's a mall with a supermarket and restaurants. The room was cleaned daily, and the breakfast had a good variety. Although the room was small, its design and layout were well-thought-out, so it didn't feel cramped. The 101 Hotel is in a great location, not far from the National Monument of Indonesia. We walked there three times, and it only took about ten minutes each way. The hotel restaurant food was very good. Their manager even asked if the food was tasty and if the service was satisfactory. We gave them two suggestions: first, the mung bean porridge was too sweet and needed less sugar; second, the air conditioning was too strong, making it chilly if you were wearing shorts and a t-shirt. We had a very pleasant stay at Merlynn Park Hotel Jakarta. Although the hotel is a little aged, it is still well maintained, and the room was spacious and comfortable. The bed and pillows were especially comfortable, and we had a good rest throughout our stay.
What impressed us most was the service. The staff were very polite, attentive and always greeted us with a smile. The management team also did a great job in making guests feel welcomed and well taken care of.
I also really liked the complimentary refreshment area at the lobby, where guests can enjoy both hot and cold drinks during the day. It’s a thoughtful touch, especially when waiting for friends, transportation, or simply taking a short rest at the lobby.
Breakfast was good too, with plenty of choices and a nice variety of food.

I haven't had time to review this place since I got back from my business trip, but this Somerset in Jakarta is really great. Although the hotel shows its age a bit, the in-room facilities are quite well-maintained. It was my first time seeing a Daikin wall-mounted air conditioner in a hotel room! And also the first time seeing hand soap dispensers suspended like that. I stayed for a week, and housekeeping came daily to clean, change towels, and even picked up hair from the shower. The TV offered HBO, Mango TV, and other domestic and international satellite channels. The hotel also has a swimming pool and tennis courts. The only downside is that the hotel's drinking water comes in these eco-friendly glass bottles, and they didn't replace the glass bottle throughout my week-long stay. So, I'm unsure about the source of the drinking water and whether the bottles are adequately sanitized. Luckily, I didn't get an upset stomach.FromUS$38

Terrible service and irresponsible handling of an ATM issue inside the hotel
During my stay at Hotel Mulia Senayan, Jakarta, I used one of the ATMs located inside the hotel, and the machine swallowed my debit card. Because it was a facility inside a 5-star hotel, I trusted it, but it turned into a complete nightmare.
What disappointed me the most was the hotel's response. When I asked the staff for assistance, I received absolutely no practical help or solution. They just kept repeating ”I'm sorry” like a broken record, showing zero effort or initiative to resolve the situation. The hotel showed a total lack of responsibility for the immense stress and time wasted caused by losing my card in a foreign country.
I strongly advise anyone staying at or visiting this hotel to AVOID using the ATMs inside. Be aware that if something goes wrong, the hotel will not help you at all. It may look like a 5-star hotel on the outside, but their crisis management and customer service are deeply disappointing.FromUS$195

I stayed in a spacious balcony suite on the 29th floor, which offered stunning views of Jakarta. The suite was beautifully appointed, combining elegant design with modern luxury and every amenity one could wish for. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy what Jakarta has on offer.

had a wonderful stay at Fraser Residence Menteng. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. The room was spacious, spotless, and very well-equipped with a kitchenette and washing machine, which made my stay even more comfortable.
The location is excellent—conveniently close to many attractions and business areas while still being peaceful and quiet. The facilities, including the swimming pool and gym, were clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was also delicious, with a good variety of options to choose from.

However, it's a shame that the cleanliness was lacking. The toilets around the swimming pool were dirty, and the in-room toilet had an unpleasant odor, making it difficult to sleep and unpleasant to use. The air conditioning also wasn't cold.

Incredible hospitality with the complimentary room upgrade to a spacious, nice and clean room. The location is highly convenient, great choice for business travelers. I will definitely choose to stay here for my next visit.
The only highly unsatisfactory service quality is at the Blue Terrace pastry shop. I visited 4 times from Mon to Thur between 7:45pm-8:00pm. Not once was I greeted, approached or offered help. On 2 of those visits, the shop was completely unattended with no staff present.
Everything about the hotel is excellent, except for the staff coverage and attentiveness at Blue Terrace.I hope management fixes this, as the rest of the hotel team sets a truly flawless standard.FromUS$92
