For the vast majority of travelers, Changsha Huanghua International Airport (CSX) is the only logical choice, as it is the only airport located within Changsha and offers the most efficient transit links via metro and the Maglev Express. It serves a mix of domestic and international routes, making it the primary gateway to the region. The other four airports are located in neighboring cities and should only be considered if you have a specific reason to visit those areas or if flight pricing is significantly lower. Hengyang Nanyue Airport (HNY), Yueyang Sanhe Airport (YYA), Yichun Mingyueshan Airport (YIC), and Changde Taohuayuan Airport (CGD) primarily handle domestic traffic for their respective locales. Reaching Changsha from these airports generally requires a combination of local transport and high-speed rail, which significantly increases total travel time and cost. Travelers prioritizing speed and convenience should always stick to the main Changsha hub.

To sum it up, the JW Marriott Changsha is definitely one of the best JWs in China. It was well worth the trip, and I'll certainly be back again. I had been looking forward to this staycation for a long time, as I'd seen many positive reviews for this JW online. The actual experience, even with high expectations, far exceeded them. First, I want to talk about the hotel's hardware design, which I absolutely love at the Changsha JW. The sky lobby on the 35th floor offers a breathtaking view, with the city unfolding like a flowing scroll beneath your feet. Predominantly featuring marble and wooden screens, the public areas are incredibly spacious, exuding a serene elegance through the interplay of materials and minimalist design. This ”less is more” philosophy extends to the Executive Lounge as well. Also on the 35th floor, the Executive Lounge is designed with dark solid wood as its main tone. Especially at night, with the warm, three-dimensional lighting, the lounge takes on a sophisticated, luxurious, yet warm ambiance. As for the rooms, I highly recommend the 270-degree open suite. The views are fantastic, and the 65-square-meter spaciousness is perfect for unwinding after a long journey. The room design leans towards modernism, particularly in its restrained, minimalist approach, using clean lines, exquisite materials, and light and shadow to create atmosphere. You truly feel a rare sense of tranquility despite being in a bustling city center. More than the hardware, what truly impressed me about the Changsha JW was the perfectly balanced warmth of its staff. Therefore, I'd like to dedicate some space to express my gratitude to the service staff at JW Changsha: First, I'd like to thank Manager Kenny. Manager Kenny and the concierge team helped me locate my package and delivered it to my room. When he learned it was my last night of vacation, he thoughtfully arranged for my laundry to be done for my rushed trip and even gave me a small gift. So, I want to express my thanks again. We also had a small talk when we met in the lounge, and Manager Kenny introduced me to his colleague who was making drinks. It's clear that Manager Kenny is a passionate, dedicated, and considerate manager who genuinely cares about his colleagues. Mia Wang is an enthusiastic and incredibly attentive member of the Executive Lounge front-of-house team. What impressed me most is that even with the constant flow of guests every day in the Executive Lounge, she still remembers guests who have visited before and would say ”welcome back” on their second visit. This really made me feel the embodiment of ”home away from home,” so I want to express my appreciation for Ms. Mia's warmth and attentiveness. During happy hour at the lounge, Ms. Jayla Zou proactively greeted guests, helped me with my drinks, and enthusiastically asked for my feedback on the dishes. Ms. Jayla Zou is a service team member who truly values the guest experience. Thank you for your enthusiasm. Huan is the bartender in the Executive Lounge. Since I don't drink much but wanted to experience the atmosphere, Ms. Huan made two low-alcohol drinks for me based on my preferences. They were absolutely delicious, full marks from me. When I was checking out, Sidny saw I had a lot of luggage and, without me even asking, immediately took my bags, escorted them to the concierge, and then arranged for concierge staff to help load them into my car. Thank you! I rarely write such long reviews, but I believe this one is well-deserved. The Changsha JW is vibrant in my heart, painted by hundreds of service staff. Unfortunately, I didn't get to ask the names of most of them, but they, too, are silently contributing their passion and effort to this hotel. So, in closing, I want to thank all the staff at the JW Marriott Hotel Changsha.

An absolutely fantastic experience! The hotel is right next to Metro Line 6, making it super convenient to get to all the attractions, saving so much time and effort. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, and the smart room features were a great touch. The mattress was so soft, I had a wonderfully peaceful night's sleep. The service was attentive and thoughtful, and breakfast included Changsha's famous rice noodles. Plus, there are tons of delicious street food options at the night market nearby. Whether you're here for leisure or business, this place is perfect. If you're coming to Changsha, book this place without hesitation!

I was extremely satisfied with my stay. The hotel was great value for money, and the environment was clean and comfortable. Throughout my stay, the staff were warm, attentive, and polite, especially Manager Wei, who was incredibly patient and meticulous. He even proactively showed me to my room, worried I might not be able to find it – it was very heartwarming. There's a delicious crayfish restaurant, Juwei Quji, right downstairs. There are also many late-night eateries, shopping malls, and parks nearby, making transportation very convenient, with two subway stations right around the hotel. Haha, I'll definitely stay here again next time!

This hotel booked this year is a national chain hotel, and there is a very stylish decoration when you walk into the lobby. There is also a large hotel, the room is very good, the facilities are very good, and the health is very good.

I brought my family here for a vacation and decided to try this newly opened hotel since it offered family suites and the location by the river was quite good. The facilities are indeed very new, and the amenities chosen are also of good quality. If I had to pick faults, one is that the bathroom lacks a place to hang clothes, which is quite impractical and doesn't offer any privacy. The other issue was on the last day when I requested housekeeping; it took a long time for anyone to show up, and when they finally did, they threw away food I had just bought from my room… This clearly shows a lack of proper training, and although the hotel did compensate me, it still affected the overall experience. Overall, it's still a good stay. Especially the river view rooms, they offer great value for money and I recommend staying here.

In general, the hotel is not bad at all, but definitely not 5* worthy! We have booked two rooms, 1 for us and 1 for the kids, but both rooms has cigarette odors. Furniture are looking very old fashioned and used out. The television is not working really good and sometimes really laggy, ok not the most important part, but has to be mentioned. The breakfast is good as well but staying for 3-4 nights, you would have mostly 4 times the same food selection with slight changes. Compared to Huatian hotel, which is nearby a completely different story with almost same price level. The good side is, the service is good and everyday the rooms are fully cleaned! The swimming pool is also closing really late, so the kids can enjoy swimming after a long travel! As a summary: good hotel with good location. For family not the best choice but for traveler without kids and not allergic to smoking odors it could work! 3 to 4* from our point of view!

Very close to Snack Kingdom and not far from May Day Plaza, making it super convenient. The kids had a great time. We stayed at this hotel for a short trip and were very satisfied overall. The location is excellent, near a shopping district, making it easy to shop and dine. The room was clean and bright, the air conditioning worked well, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were highly professional and polite. The hallway was clean with no strange odors, and security was excellent. It offers great value for money, and the atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. It was perfect for resting after a tiring journey. This will be my top choice for future trips!

As always, when I come to Changsha, I choose the InterContinental Hotel. Guest relations specialist Lily called me to confirm my arrival time, arrange the room, and provide important information, such as the lighting schedule for the outdoor light show, and the times and locations for breakfast and dinner. The room was clean and tidy, and the floor attendant greeted me with a smile. The room cleaning was meticulous and thoughtful. Just a short walk downstairs is the Xiangjiang River, which is very convenient for a stroll. The breakfast buffet was incredibly rich, with my favorite soy milk and fried dough sticks, and mini glutinous rice dumplings. The dinner buffet was also superb. There's a large underground parking lot, making parking absolutely convenient. Photo 1 is breakfast, Photo 2 is the Yunnan restaurant, and Photos 3 to 6 are the dinner buffet.

This time, during my trip to Changsha, I stayed at the Sheraton Changsha Hotel, and the overall experience was very pleasant. The room was meticulously cleaned, with all the corners spotless. The bed and bathroom facilities were well-maintained, providing a perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of sightseeing. The hotel has a complete range of dining options, including restaurants and bars, so you don't have to go out to find food. After a long day of exploring, it was nice to return to the hotel and sit for a bit in the lobby lounge. The location is convenient for getting around, making it a worry-free stay for tourists. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Changsha.

Every time I come to Changsha, I choose the Grand Hyatt. Thanks to the staff at the Grand Club for helping arrange my usual room. It's on a high floor, with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows directly overlooking the Xiang River, and a clear view of Orange Isle. The room was also set up in advance according to our usual preferences, showing the hotel's thoughtfulness and respect for its guests. Due to the large number of guests, the Grand Club's happy hour has removed the chef-served dishes and added one more dish to the buffet. The food tastes good and has a strong Hunan flavor. Compared to before, they've also added Changsha's local snacks. Most of the staff at the Grand Club are new hires, but they are very enthusiastic and eager to help. It would be even better if they were more proactive in clearing plates. Room service was also very thoughtful and prompt, though I hope the cleaning could be a bit more meticulous. Breakfast at the buffet restaurant on the first floor is very rich, with many Changsha local specialties: fried pork with chili noodles, stinky tofu, sugar oil粑粑 (a sweet fried dough), chuanyan粑粑 (another local snack)... everything you could want. My favorite before was the handmade fresh meat buns, but this time, the quality seemed to have declined. Some buns weren't hot enough, and some had very little meat filling, which was a pity. The mini steamed buns, however, were quite good. We also tried the buffet dinner. It happened to be the monthly birthday party on the first of the month. The restaurant was decorated for birthdays, had a singer, and prepared a large cake that all guests could share. There was also a lucky draw, and birthday celebrants for the current month received a 50% discount. All arrangements were very thoughtful. The buffet dishes were very rich. The salmon was fresh and tender, and the female chef was very generous with thick cuts. There was also a wide variety of seafood. The live seafood tank had abalones and various shellfish. There were steamed swimming crabs served at the table, chilled king crab legs, Arctic sweet shrimp, large shrimp, mussels, as well as spicy stir-fried seafood, grilled oysters, and pan-fried foie gras. Restaurant staff also used a cart to serve parma ham with melon and sparkling wine, adding to the sense of occasion. The restaurant's desserts were also delicious. The durian egg custard was served in a cute eggshell-shaped container. The black truffle flavor in the black truffle Basque cheesecake was very rich. Even the tiramisu came in both matcha and coffee flavors. They were sweet but not cloying, and very delicious. Hyatt Group's dining standards are indeed consistently high and did not disappoint. The restaurant service staff were very proactive in clearing plates and always attentive to guests' needs. In short, our trip to Changsha Grand Hyatt left us very satisfied, and we will choose it again next time we come to Changsha.

Had a great experience! The front desk staff were very efficient, and the hotel's decor is quite stylish. The breakfast spread was fantastic, with desserts that were both beautiful and delicious. I especially loved that weekend breakfast runs until 2 PM, and on weekdays until 11:30 AM – perfect for late risers, showing they really put thought into it. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and everything was spotless. Definitely worth it, and will be my first choice next time I'm in Changsha!
