Airport Guide

Compare 4 airports near College Park

For the vast majority of travelers, Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) is the only logical gateway, as it is located within the city of College Park and handles an extensive array of both domestic and international flights. Travelers landing here benefit from seamless connectivity via MARTA rail, which provides the most budget-friendly transport directly into the heart of the city. The other airports on this list serve entirely different, neighboring cities and are significantly less convenient for reaching College Park. Middle Georgia Regional Airport (MCN), Columbus Metropolitan Airport (CSG), and Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport (CHA) are regional facilities intended for those specific metropolitan areas. While these airports offer alternative options if you find a heavily discounted fare, you must account for the high cost and long duration of ground transportation, which often involves pre-arranged shuttles or expensive private car services. We recommend prioritizing flights into ATL to save both time and money.

It’s very close to the airport with the hotel shuttle, so if you’re starting for a day layover, it’s convenient. I stayed here for a couple nights with a rental car, but it was still a long drive to the attractions in downtown Atlanta.

I didn't know anything about airport hotels in Atlanta. I was looking for a convenient hotel with an airport bus. And the Westin was one of them. The airport bus was good, it departs the hotel on the hour and half hour (ie 8pm and 8:30pm and 9pm, etc). The drive to airport is over 10 minutes. I saw some hotels can be accessed by Sky Train. Actually those hotels are easier to access (which I did not know). The Sky Train is free, it leaves every 10 minutes from the airport station, and it's only 1 short stop to the hotels. So that is quicker and easier. I did not realise that before my stay. The Westin hotel is ok, not the newest but not bad overall. My main problem with it is that it faces a highway and it's quite noisy. I complained that the room they gave me was noisy and I asked to switch to a room that's not noisy. They gave me a room in the other wing of the hotel also facing a highway but a bit less noisy. I did not have the energy to complain again. The shower was ok, not bad. I like the African American woman who was driving the airport bus, she was very polite and friendly and helpful. I was tired after a long flight to Atlanta. So I wanted to go outside and get some fresh air. I asked them about walking around outside, the response was that it is not really safe to walk outside in the area. But if I wanted then I could walk in the parking lot.

After arriving at the airport, take the shuttle bus to the domestic terminal, then hop on the hotel's bus, which takes you directly to the hotel. The room was decent and very quiet. Just a heads-up, there are no slippers, so you'll need to bring your own. Breakfast was quite basic. Overall, it was an alright stay.

The hotel is quite decent. If you are taking a taxi for an international flight, don't take the hotel's shuttle bus to the domestic passenger terminal. Although you can also check in, then go through security and take a small train to the international departure terminal. However, there are too many people on domestic flights and it is easy to be late. If you take the hotel shuttle bus, at least three hours in advance.

It belongs to a more traditional American hotel chain. Very convenient near the airport. After the evening flight arrived in Atlanta, take the skytrain to the hotel. The hotel room is quite big.

It was okay. First, the receptionist told me the booking was cancelled, which clearly wasn't the case. I had to give them my credit card, and €17.89 was debited. No idea what for.

We booked this hotel because it was very convenient. After returning the car at the car rental center, we took the light rail to GCC and arrived at the hotel. The next light rail stop is Atlanta Airport Domestic Departure. I basically ate something at the airport and walked around before returning to the hotel. The hotel was very clean and the service was good. The front desk was very considerate.

it’s super convenient to get to the hotel using ATL’s free skytrain. It is a short walk (around 3-5 minutes) from the skytrain station to the hotel. If you have too much luggage or it’s too dark to walk, the hotel will pick up and drop off to the skytrain station. Rooms are large and comfortable.

Check in was a little slow but the staff member was super nice and apologetic. The facility was very clean and modern. Plenty of free parking. The Bowties bar staff service was amazing and the food was really good and moderately priced. The location is right off the exit of the interstate, however, the airport is across the interstate and you can hear some planes depart/land on the front side more than the back side, otherwise this a great property.

We stayed here over night for a early morning flight. We had to return a rental but to have the option to basically walk right over to the airport was amazing. We had 5 and had more than enough room in the queen suite for our short sit. Definitely recommend .
