Compare 5 airports near Dubrovnik

For most travelers, Dubrovnik Airport (DBV) is the only logical choice, as it sits physically within the city and offers the most direct access to the center via frequent shuttle buses or taxis. While other options exist, it is vital to understand that Bol Airport (BWK), Tirana International Airport (TIA), Tivat Airport (TIV), and Mostar International Airport (OMO) are all located in neighboring cities and require long, often multi-leg journeys across international borders. Tivat Airport (TIV) serves the Montenegrin coast and is the most reasonable alternative if you are combining trips, while Mostar International Airport (OMO) is a secondary option for those exploring Bosnia and Herzegovina. Bol Airport (BWK) and Tirana International Airport (TIA) are significantly farther, usually requiring a full day of travel. Stick to the main airport for the most efficient, cost-effective, and stress-free arrival in Dubrovnik.

I just got back from staying at Rixos Premium Dubrovnik, and it was truly special. The newly renovated design is stunning—modern, elegant, and full of thoughtful details. What made the stay even more memorable was the organization of a Chaîne des Rôtisseurs event during my visit. The atmosphere, food, and service were all next level, and it really showcased the hotel’s high standards. The staff were incredible—warm, professional, and always ready to help. They made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. If you’re looking for a luxurious stay in Dubrovnik with outstanding service and beautiful design, this place is a must. Can’t wait to return!❤️

I had the best hotel experience during my stay in Dubrovnik. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially Ms. Dine (or Jane) — she was absolutely wonderful, proactive, and a true asset to the team. I sincerely congratulate the hotel for having her. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable — 100%. The location was also perfect — 100%. Services were of a very high standard. Breakfast was a joy, and the restaurant team was outstanding. They greeted every guest warmly and genuinely helped make each morning a pleasant start to the day. Everything about this hotel was exceptional. I will definitely return, and I strongly recommend staying here. It’s truly worth every cent.

The room was very spacious and clean. The view from the hotel was also beautiful. There's a small convenience store nearby, and a larger supermarket about a 15-minute walk away, so grocery shopping is easy. The bus terminal for the old town is also just 2-3 minutes from the hotel. As for amenities, they only provide cups and shower caps, so you'll need to bring your own toiletries.

This was a beautiful hotel will nice art work and historic charm. The staff was very kind and gave us good recommendations for our meals. The pool is very big and well surrounded by gardens and a nice hotel bar. It’s a bit further than we though from the old city , we had to take a taxi in/out for a fixed price of 20 euro (so 40 back and forth) but it was nice to come back to Lapad after long hot days visiting the old town and swimming in the sea.

Super incredibly lucky! The front desk staff heard I was only staying one night and told me I'd love it here and want to come back! I didn't understand why she said that until I got back to my room and found she'd upgraded me to a suite!!! The views from this hotel are truly worth everything! I watched the pink sunset from my room, quietly observing the sun dip below the horizon and the bright moon rise from the sea. Sharing photos and videos with family and friends, I marveled at the unparalleled beauty of 'the bright moon rising from the sea, illuminating the ends of the earth at this very moment' (a poetic Chinese idiom). The hotel also has a rich array of facilities! There's an outdoor swimming pool for sunbathing, and you can go scuba diving or snorkeling in the sea by taking the stairs down on the right. Indoors, on the top floor, there's another swimming pool, as well as a steam room and massage spa. During the day, the indoor facilities are usually empty, so you can have them all to yourself, hehe. The hotel also has its own various restaurants and bars. The restaurants feature live performances at night. There's also a gym, tennis courts, and a seaside walking path, among other things. In short, it's definitely worth exploring! One day is simply not enough! Personally, I think this hotel rivals the strong sense of happiness I got from a five-star hotel in Tenerife. I hope to have the chance to come again next time! 🧡🧡🧡

Had a great stay at the Royal Princess Resort. The hotels are all part of the same group so you can use the facilities across the properties. The walkway from the promenade into Lapad was so beautiful. Beaches are super clean and the staff could not be nicer. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay so incredibly memorable. Dubrovnik city is only a quick Uber away.

The location of the hotel is excellent for visiting the Dubrovnik Old Town, just a couple of minutes walk to the Pile Gate. Thus you can visit the Dubrovnik Old Town during different hours of the day to avoid the crowds and see the Old Town during day time and night time. Also convienenantly located near bus stop for buses to LAPAD region which have less expensive dining options. The breakfast is good. Besides the buffet, you can order your choice of breakfast, like Egg Benedict, Omellette etc. Rooms are large with plenty of spaces for luggages, althrough the design might be a bit dated.

Although this hotel is situated quite some distance from the Old Town this is not a bad thing at all. Insect I very much appreciated being removed from the thick crowds and noise, and very much enjoyed the peace and tranquility and spectacular sea views from this wonderful resort. Definitely worth paying extra for a c facing room, for breathtaking panoramas day and night. My room was elegantly decorated and very comfortable, with ample space for everything although a luggage rack or designated space for luggage would enhance overall comfort greatly. Staff were generally helpful and polite, with special mention to Matija the Restaurant Manager, who, despite handling large volumes of customers, remained unfailingly cheerful and energetic. The breakfast buffet was very generous by European standards, whilst the dinner buffet selection was also more than adequate and quite good value at 35 Euros per person. As mentioned in previous reviews, a bus connects the Babin Kuk area (where the Royal Ariston and her neighboring sister hotels, the Royal Princess, Royal Blue, Royal Palm and Neptun are situated) to the Old Town. If you purchase the 40 Euro Dubrovnik City pass, discovers one day worth of this bus travel plus access to the city walls and its museums. Cannot recommend this resort highly enough and look forward to my return.

On our first night, the room suddenly lost power in the middle of the night, leaving us completely dark. After contacting them, they said there was a problem with the power card. The next day, we suddenly realized our door wasn't properly locked. At first, we thought it was just carelessness, but two days of strange behavior made us doubt it... On our second night, we returned to the hotel after sightseeing. Before bed, someone kept knocking on our door, but we looked through the peephole and saw no one. Too tired, we went to sleep and ignored it. On our third night, the same thing happened again. We inquired and requested a room change, which the hotel immediately arranged. We thought everything was settled, but after switching rooms, we discovered that the door connecting our room to the adjoining room was unlocked. We could use this door to get to the neighboring room without any problem, and even the neighboring room could easily reach ours. We contacted the front desk again, and they sent someone with a key to lock the second door. But they apparently said they had the wrong key and it was unsuccessful. The staff promised to come back and fix it, but we were told they couldn't do it that night due to an incident. Since no one was staying in the neighboring room, they told us to rest assured they would arrange for someone to lock the room the next morning. How could we rest easy under all these circumstances? So we couldn't rest well the entire night. This made us doubt that we hadn't been careless and left the door unlocked on our first night, and we wondered who had the ability to know when we would return to our room. This experience was truly unsettling and terrifying!

We've just returned from a weekend in Dubrovnik, and honestly, it was a wonderful experience. The hotel is ideally located in the peaceful Lapad area, with magnificent sea views. The setting is truly superb and very relaxing. The grounds are well-maintained, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The room was comfortable, clean, and very pleasant, with a splendid view. The staff were professional and welcoming throughout our stay. It's clear that the establishment is well-managed and that the customer experience is taken seriously. We also really appreciated the easy access to the seaside promenades (via the lower level of the restaurant) and to the Lapad district, which is very lively in the evenings while still being much calmer than the Old Town. The only area for improvement would be the external noise from the ventilation system. In summary: a beautiful hotel, well-located, with an exceptional setting, a fantastic breakfast, and pleasant staff. We would definitely return on our next trip to Dubrovnik.

The environment is invincible, and the hotel is very cost-effective. As soon as you enter the lobby downstairs, you will be shocked. There is an invincible sea view and a private beach. There is a small beach club in the hotel. Some marine activities can be played in the private waters. The hotel also has a brochure recommending various local marine fee projects, which can be booked through the hotel. The restaurant food is very delicious. I booked a dinner at the Monteni restaurant on the sixth floor, which is 40 euros per person. The appetizers and desserts are self-service. The cost-effectiveness is very high. The handsome waiter is really nice and considerate. The dining environment is also first-class. I highly recommend it.

Very good hotel! Everything is beyond expectations! I am set to a deluxe suite, the room is very big! About 40 square meters have a bathtub, this is a very luxurious room in Europe! The whole hotel is Mediterranean and very beautiful! Breakfast is also very delicious! The service is also very good, we have breakfast back, the room is cleaned, the bed is made, the curtains are opened and so on. Regarding the location, the hotel is a little distance from the ancient city, but the door is the 6 bus, which goes directly to the ancient city. Or take a taxi directly, about 10 eur off-peak, about 10 minutes. The entrance of the hotel is the port, it is very convenient to go to the sea, we booked private tour, and we went directly to the pier across the road. We didn't need to go to the old city to gather. In addition, there are many restaurants near the hotel, basically a few minutes walk, in short, it is a very good experience, if you have the opportunity to return to Ducheng, you will consider staying at this hotel again!

Not up to 5-star standards You sold me an ocean view, I got a mountain view, a parking lot view, and a side view. The reception They didn't take my half-board into account. I didn't have a meal the first night. The restaurant closed at 9:30 p.m. I arrived at 9 p.m., just in time for the breakfast. They didn't offer me anything since there are paid restaurants, but there's room service. They could have offered me a snack in my room after a flight delay due to the weather and fatigue. I made this point the next day. I was given a bottle of white wine, not red as I had requested. It was perhaps too expensive for me, but at the table I did see wine served, plus six macaroons. Same for departure. I had asked from the beginning if I could have my room, even if I paid a supplement, because of a late flight at 7:30 p.m. The response was negative, too many reservations. I was given two shared shower stalls at the spa, which were not cleaned between each guest. I had to walk around with my clothes in my hands until I got to the spa. I'll end on a positive note; I had a very good stay. The site is magnificent, the hotel is quiet despite the crowds at the resort.
