Don't choose the pool view rooms; they look nothing like the pictures on the homepage, which are actually of the villas. The pool view is more expensive than the regular room view, but it's way too noisy as it's right by the entrance. The pool itself isn't great either; it's in an open area, closed at night, and during the day, staff are always chatting there, or parents with kids are constantly by the poolside. The pool is quite small, so if swimming is a priority for you, avoid it. Everything else was fine. Just go for the cheaper option. Also, the soundproofing isn't great. If you want to stay close to the harbour and right where the atmosphere is lively, Villa Ombak is a great choice. It’s only about a six-minute walk from the harbour, so everything is easy to reach without being right in the middle of the crowds. The staff were genuinely lovely and very welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. You get the best of both worlds — close enough to walk to where things are happening, yet still peaceful enough to relax.
I stayed in one of the traditional Lumbung huts and it was absolutely beautiful. Just something to note — the bathroom is downstairs via a small staircase from the bedroom, so it suits someone reasonably mobile. The shower is outdoors, which actually adds a really nice tropical touch and makes the experience a bit more unique. A magnificent vacation! The hotel's location is wonderful, away from the port, noise, and hustle. We immediately rented an electric scooter (the reception helped us) and returned it at the port. It's a beautiful 5-7 minute ride to the port. Breakfast is incredibly delicious, and the coffee is wow! The rooms are clean and beautiful. There's a huge pool, probably the biggest on the island. My daughter loved swimming and diving. The service is top-notch. They have their own beach with sun loungers. In the evening, you can even ride horses right by the hotel at sunset. We stayed at Pondok Santi Estate in Gili Trawangan for four nights, and from the very first moment, everything exceeded our expectations. The level of service is outstanding — a true 5 out of 5 — and the experience feels much more like a five-star luxury resort rather than a hotel.
Every detail is beautifully designed and perfectly maintained. The rooms are spacious, elegant, and extremely comfortable. Housekeeping is impeccable, and the staff is attentive without ever being intrusive.
The restaurant experience deserves special praise. The food quality, presentation, and service were consistently excellent. Breakfasts were a highlight of our stay — fresh, delicious, and served in a peaceful, beautiful setting that made every morning feel special.

Villa is situated not far away from the ferry terminal. About 10-15mins walk. It would be good if hotel can provide free bicycle rental service instead of charging because there is a distance to walk in from the main pavement to the villa.
Service staff were very friendly and efficient.
Villa itself is pretty basic, room size is abit small but the shower room is huge and pretty.

I had a really nice stay at Jambuluwuk Oceano Gili Trawangan. The hotel is located in a quieter part of the island, which was perfect for relaxing while still being easy to reach the center by bike. I really liked the hotel! It's located on the beachfront, which is very convenient. There's a restaurant on the beach, a movie theater, and movies and cartoons shown every evening. You get separate towels for the beach or pool. The hotel buildings are large, two-story, with a long pool between them. The rooms have a mini balcony and a window, which brings in plenty of light. There are blackout curtains. The room is spacious and has everything you need: a large bed, a comfortable mattress, large blankets, and pillows. There's a kettle, tea, and coffee. The shower and toilet are modern, and everything is clean. They clean every code day, which is good. 👍 The air conditioning is clean, fully charged, odorless, and works perfectly! There's one caveat: the Wi-Fi didn't work in the room on the second floor for two days, but it started working on the third day. Breakfast in the morning is served in the restaurant overlooking the sea. The buffet offers a wide variety of food! It's delicious! The staff is very polite, professional, and friendly! We took a horse cart from the harbor to the resort, which was a unique and fun experience. We also rented an electric bike at the accommodation and comfortably explored every corner of the island.
Most of all, true to its resort name, the swimming pool, gym, and private beach were very private and relaxing, making it perfect for a couple's trip. I also remember all the staff members being incredibly friendly and welcoming with smiles.
I had heard that the water quality on Gili Island isn't the best, and on our first day, the water from the shower was quite poor. However, when I informed the front desk, they immediately changed our room to a better one. Thanks to the staff's prompt and kind response, we were able to enjoy the rest of our stay perfectly.

The facilities are complete. The only downside is that toothpaste and toothbrushes weren't provided. Since I was only staying one night and hadn't brought any, it was awkward not being able to brush my teeth in the morning.

Very clean, with a strong disinfectant smell. The outdoor shower is private, with no tall buildings overlooking it. There were some small ants and lizards among the greenery around the private mini-pool.

The island is quiet and safe. The hotel entrance on the island is easy to find. In the evenings, there are small pubs on the island with a romantic atmosphere. The hotel is a 15-minute walk from the pier. Hauling luggage by horse carriage cost 150,000 IDR (approx. 300 NTD). Luggage storage is available. To the left of the hotel reception is their air-conditioned massage parlor. To the right of the hotel reception is their air-conditioned restaurant. In front of the hotel reception, on the beach, are their beach loungers, free for guests. There's a sea turtle that almost always forages in the waters directly in front. Bicycle rental is 50,000 IDR per day. Electric bicycle rental is 250,000 IDR per day, but be warned, the battery dies in less than half a day after only a few uses, and they won't even recharge it for you.
