Compare 4 airports near Giza

The city of Giza is served by four primary airports, with Cairo International Airport (CAI) being the nearest at approximately 23 km. As the primary international gateway, CAI offers the best connectivity, including budget-friendly metro options and reliable taxi services that make it the fastest and cheapest entry point. Sphinx International Airport (SPX), located 32 km away, primarily handles regional and some international flights, with taxi and rideshare being the most practical transport choices for travelers heading to Giza. Capital International Airport (CCE) is situated further away at 61 km, necessitating pre-booked shuttles or private taxis, which are reflected in higher transit costs. Alexandria International Airport (HBE) is the most distant at 177 km, requiring a significant journey via intercity train or bus to reach Giza. Travelers should prioritize CAI for the most efficient access, but if your flight necessitates arriving at secondary airports, always pre-book your ground transport or utilize authorized taxi ranks at the arrivals terminal to ensure a safe and transparent pricing experience during your transfer.

Nice new hotel, beautiful view of the Nile, and amazing attentive staff. The breakfast included is served to you on their rooftop restaurant. Would strongly recommend this to anyone looking for a nice value place in Aswan.

The hotel is right on the edge of the Nile River, with beautiful scenery, convenient transportation and very good service. The restaurants, shopping mall, and swimming pool in the hotel are very good. Very satisfied, I have always liked Four Seasons Hotel. There is also a Japanese restaurant on board that is not expensive and of first-class quality.

It's on the back door of the pyramid, but it's inside the alley, so it's hard to find when you check in for the first time. The room is small but tidy and shampoo and body wash are also provided. Good value for money, but the pyramid view is a bit obscured because of the rooftop of the hotel in front of the alley (only two can be seen)

The views and the location is the best thing about this hotel. The view from my room (106) is directly in front of the Sphinx and the pyramid. Highly recommend arriving before sunset. The room is just okay, it has everything you need. The bathroom is a bit small but for the price, it is decent. The location is less than 2 mins walk to the Sphinx entrance with many restaurants and stores near by. The cons are - it is a bit hard to find and it is locked from the inside. You need to ring a bell to get buzz in. - No WiFi! When I was there, there is “SLOW WiFi” that is never work and cannot load anything. I need to go out and buy the SIM card from the near by store - On going construction through the night, if you are a light sleeper, I won’t recommend this place. I was woken up by a loud construction sound at 2 AM. - No Food inside the room. You can only eat on the rooftop but there aren’t enough light up in the rooftop. You might need to eat in the dark if you eat a bit too late

If this hotel is in your budget, JUST BOOK IT! You can’t find any hotel that is better than this. I swear, Al Farida is one of the 2 best hotels in Giza! I was searching for a Giza hotel for over 2 weeks, yet couldn’t find any. Decided to get a hotel after I arrive in Giza by seeing with my own eyes and chose this one. THIS HOTEL IS BRAND NEW, 2 months old as of January, 2025. When you enter the room, you’d smell wood from new furnitures, very pleasant. Shower is nice, instantly hot. Location is very good, 50-100 meters from the entrance of Giza Pyramids but no smell of horse and camel dung. As it’s so close to the pyramids, the view from the rooftop is breathtaking as well… Staff are amazing as well. Lovely Muhamed (both), Eslam, Tahir… They’re all fantastic, will make your stay great. Also, you’ll see the cutest bellboys there (only 15,17 years old). In short, JUST BOOK IT. Hotel rooms look exactly like on the pics. Don’t hesitate. Trust me! Minor issues to fix: Curtains were half in our room, breakfast and food takes more than 30 minutes.

We had a very good stay in the hotel, I would like to thanks Mohamed and Mustafa for their great service, they make us feel extremely comfortable, for every single thing we required they were always ready to help us, maybe something to improve is the internet connection but not big deal, for sure I would come back.

The Mena House's views and location are truly unbeatable, one of a kind in the world. You can only fully experience the pyramids from sunrise, midday, to sunset by staying here. As night falls, without the pyramid lights, they appear exceptionally serene and mysterious, framed by the hotel's lights and palm trees. This is an experience that simply can't be replicated by just visiting for a quick photo. The hotel also carries immense historical significance. The Cairo Conference was signed here, and photos of the 'Big Three' from that era hang on the walls, full of historical resonance. For me, paying for this unique scenery and historical ambiance was absolutely worth it; I have no regrets. However, frankly speaking, the hotel's amenities, service, and attention to detail absolutely do not match its price (you're paying for the location, not the service). The hairdryer has weak power, leaving my hair dry and frizzy at the ends. The toiletries, especially the toothpaste, are of poor quality, like a product without any brand or quality assurance. There's only one type of pillow, and it's so soft it offers no support whatsoever. After one night, my neck was aching – not what you'd expect from a high-end hotel. The restaurant experience was also terrible: I ordered soup, and it was served without a spoon. I couldn't find one anywhere, and by the time the waiter brought one, the soup was completely cold. The restaurant staff would even specifically ask if everything was satisfactory, but by then, complaining felt pointless, so I could only say 'it's fine.' What was even more unsettling was the fake, superficial service. When I genuinely needed help or efficiency, no one was around. When checking out, my suitcase had spinner wheels and was very easy to push, but a staff member insisted on 'helping' with it, performing this kind of meaningless, superficial gesture. In summary: Staying here means paying for the pyramid views and the historical sentiment, not for comfort and service. Those who value scenery and historical significance might find it acceptable, but anyone seeking genuine service quality and a premium lodging experience will definitely be disappointed.

The Pyramisa Downtown Residence provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Pyramisa Downtown Residence offers a pleasant stay in Giza for those traveling for business or leisure. The hotel is only 4km from Cairo University Station and 22km from Cairo International Airport, giving guests a number of convenient transportation options. Just a short walk from Gezira (Opera) Metro Station, traveling to most city destinations is a breeze. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. This Giza hotel provides parking on site.

The hotel is a value for money option in Cairo. They serve a plethora for the buffet breakfast and it was delicios. Dinner buffet spread choices were lesser in comparison to breakfast. The room is clean and spacious, however, being at the top most floor (Level 8), the water pressure was not too good. All the staff were very warm and welcoming. Safety is good with security checks done upon entry. There are also 2 gift shops, a pharmacy, Starbucks and even a massage centre within the hotel premises. As it was winter, I did not have the chance to try out their pool. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and would definitely be patronising them again.

The rooms are very clean, and the staff is incredibly helpful and available. The breakfast could be improved, and there aren't enough sun loungers by the pool. Nevertheless, I still recommend the hotel for its amazing staff and the cleanliness of the rooms.
