This cave hotel is quite unique and the restaurant offers a good variety of tasty dishes. However, we stayed for three nights and were assigned to the lowest level, which had virtually no view. This definitely wasn't worth the 1300-1400 per night price tag. The room door used a traditional key, and the bathroom door needed a strong push to close properly.
On the plus side, the service was decent, and they offered complimentary bonfires. On the downside, our room didn't have a good view, and some of the facilities felt a bit dated.FromUS$357

The hotel room was exactly as described online, and each room had a small outdoor balcony. It was a bit chilly, so we didn't get to fully enjoy it, unfortunately. 😂 If you're driving, the hotel can be a bit tricky to find, so it's best to go during the day. Otherwise, turning around if you take a wrong turn can be difficult. It's also not advisable to drive a large vehicle, as these cave rooms are built into the mountainside, making it hard for big cars to navigate. We stayed for two days, and the hot air balloons didn't fly. If they had, this would have been an absolutely stunning location! The hotel restaurant doesn't require reservations; you can just wait for a table. The hotel was cleaned very well, with no strange odors, and the staff were all very polite and enthusiastic. Absolutely fantastic and reliable! It's only a 5-minute walk to the viewpoint and an 8-minute walk to the city center. You can watch the hot air balloons take off right from the terrace, no need to chase after them. Breakfast was great! What really stood out was on check-out day, we had an early flight and wouldn't make it to breakfast. We asked the responsible gentleman (who looked like Lewandowski, haha!) and he prepared two breakfast boxes for us to take on the road, complete with juice and sandwiches. We were so touched! The front desk staff were incredibly helpful! Just a heads-up, if you've booked a lower-level room, you'll need to check in at reception before heading down. We had two suitcases, and when we heard we had to go downstairs to our room, we almost fainted! 🥺 Luckily, the front desk arranged for someone to drive us down. There's also a direct staircase within the hotel that leads to the terrace. The lower-level rooms are actually great – you don't have to climb a hill back to the hotel every day, and it's just a few minutes' walk to the main streets of Göreme. Traveling solo, I was looking for something affordable, and their single room was quite a good deal! Plus, the room wasn't tiny at all; it was cozy and comfortable. What's more, this place is super close to both the hot air balloon launch sites and hiking trails – it only took me ten minutes to walk from the hotel to the trailhead. You can even wake up early and watch the hot air balloons right from there! There were lots of cats by the entrance too! Walking to the town center for food also took less than ten minutes! The hotel is a bit out of the way, and the surroundings are very quiet. We transferred here from another hotel, thinking it was close by, but the uphill slope right outside their entrance was a real killer. The elevator was broken when we checked in, and the staff member kindly helped us carry our luggage up to the third floor. Can I just say this hotel is an oasis in Göreme?! From the moment you walk in, the pool is the first thing you see – and it's absolutely stunning for photos! I booked this hotel because I loved it so much, even though I couldn't get a consecutive stay. Trying out two different room types was also a great experience! The rooms have a very vintage design, and the suites come with a Jacuzzi tub – just remember to bring your own disposable tub liner if you want a soak! My absolute favorite part, though, was the view of the pool. It's beautiful from every angle, at any time of day. It looks even more magical at night when the lights come on. Sip on a spritz and then drift off to sleep! Besides the hot air balloons, finding this hidden gem of a hotel was the biggest highlight of my trip to Göreme! Oh, and hotels here usually have a custom of taking in or keeping a stray dog. The service at Sah Saray Cave Suites was also exceptional. The staff were extremely warm, attentive, and helpful throughout the entire stay. They made us feel genuinely welcomed and were always ready to assist with recommendations, transport arrangements, and anything else we needed. Their hospitality really made the experience even more enjoyable.
Another huge advantage of the hotel is its excellent location. It is conveniently within walking distance to the centre of Göreme Town Centre, making it very easy to explore local restaurants, cafes, shops, and attractions without needing transport all the time.

This is a genuine cave hotel, unlike others I've stayed in. It's incredibly romantic and cozy. The owner is also super nice. Another huge plus is its convenience; it's very close to town, just a short walk to go shopping and grab food and drinks. It's also really close to the hot air balloon launch site.
