I originally planned to leave a 5-star review because the hotel itself has a very nice, cozy atmosphere. However, I ended up extremely disappointed due to something being stolen during housekeeping service.
I travel frequently and stay in hotels often, so I’m usually very careful. This time, I didn’t bring many valuables with me, so I didn’t lock my suitcase when I went out. I had bought a few items from a drugstore and left them in the room. When I came back, one of the three packages was missing. I assume they didn’t take everything to avoid suspicion.
I’m usually very cautious about housekeeping and potential loss of belongings, which is why I selected the “do not disturb / no cleaning” option. However, this hotel requires daily cleaning of the in-room hot spring bath. Since I booked a top-floor room with a private onsen, the front desk informed me that staff would still enter the room to clean it.
I never expected that even opened, low-value cosmetics would be taken. The missing items were worth over $60. While it’s not a huge amount, it still feels very upsetting.
The hotel itself is fine, but please be very careful with your belongings if you stay here. If you leave the room, make sure to take your valuables with you. The safe in the room is extremely small and cannot hold much.

The best hotel on this trip to Japan, love. Open the door, my friend exclaimed that it was the landlord's house 😄. Pure Japanese style, the housekeeper began to introduce in detail from the front desk, and came to the door to bring hot tea and Japanese snacks, friendly and comfortable. The private soup in the room is not too good! The room was delivered with snow muscle essence suit gifts, as well as small bags with kimono, which repeatedly reminded us that we could take it away as gifts. The slippers are wooden rafts, which is really a proper atmosphere. Dinner and breakfast are served in the room. The little girl waiter smiled and introduced them together, and they came up one by one, which was no different from the Michelin we had eaten. When we left, the waiter took the initiative to take pictures of us and printed them for us on the spot. The smile waved us away from the sight. This service and experience are really great value. This time I stayed near Izu Kogen Station, just a few hundred meters walk away, which was very convenient.
Facilities: The restaurant and hot springs were all available. Although the hot springs and restrooms are shared, it wasn't inconvenient at all. You can play PS5 and use the massage chair. There are two hot spring baths, one large and one small, which can be reserved in advance.
Cleanliness: It was cleaned daily. While traditional Japanese-style rooms don't inherently look as 'clean' as modern ones, I found it quite clean.
Environment: It's close to the train station and there are some restaurants nearby. The owner keeps the place very nicely decorated, with many interesting ornaments and designs.
Service: The staff member is *********, which made communication very easy. Every day, a large thermos of hot water was left at the door. The hot spring reservation software was very convenient and integrated with WeChat.
When I left, the owner insisted on driving me to the train station – the service was absolutely top-notch. We had a lovely stay at Himalaya Sea. We only stayed one night but wished we could have stayed longer. Incredibly clean, spacious and comfortable rooms, amazing sea views, a nice little pool for cooling off in, as well as private and shared Onsen. They were able to accommodate us and provided a vegetarian breakfast. The free drinks (sodas, juice, wine, whiskey, etc) were appreciated. Beautiful onsen — our favorite stay in Japan with my family! The traditional breakfast was delicious with a very large selection of dishes. The rooms are gorgeous, quiet, and spacious — and everything was exceptionally clean. The cleaning crew truly does an amazing job.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, making us feel warmly welcomed. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the train station, and having a washer and dryer available for guests was a big plus.

The house is located in a picturesque village. The road from the station is pleasant and not tired. The settlement is convenient. The house has everything necessary for accommodation. Shops in a 2 km radius are not available! All the food you will cook needs to be brought with you.
The exit to the coast of Jogasaki is 20 minutes away. A light bulb is seen from the house at night!
