The yurt was spotlessly clean and tidy, well-ventilated with no strange odors. The bed was soft and comfortable, and despite the large temperature swings in the Gobi Desert between day and night, the interior was well-insulated and never felt cold or damp. The en-suite bathroom was excellent, with 24-hour hot water and a full range of toiletries. It truly offered a luxurious wilderness experience that blended comfort with ambiance, without compromising on daily conveniences.

Xinyuan Hotel is very close to the west gate of Colorful Danxia. When you leave the hotel gate in the early morning, you can see the lights with the two characters ”Ximen” on in the distance. There is a bus stop not far away bound for Zhangye and Linze. Although the bus basically leaves once an hour, it is still relatively convenient. Especially the bus bound for Zhangye can stop at Zhangye West Railway Station, which is very convenient to catch the train. The hotel owner was very enthusiastic.
