The hotel's location is excellent; it's right off the elevated highway, making travel very convenient. There's also a subway station nearby. The front desk staff are all very enthusiastic and offer service with a smile. The room environment is elegant, and the lobby is spacious and bright. This is by far the most reassuring and pleasantly surprising hotel I've stayed at during my trips to Luoyang. The weather in Luoyang has been incredibly hot lately. When my girlfriend and I arrived at the hotel in the afternoon, sweating, the front desk staff immediately offered us two bottles of water and even gave my girlfriend a hair tie. Check-in was very quick. We were also delighted with the room; it's very spacious and expansive, with an overall ancient-style decor that's perfect for photos and truly reflects the character of this old capital. The breakfast was also fantastic, offering both Luoyang specialties and stir-fries – you can eat whatever you like. The location is excellent too, with a snack street about 500 meters away. The most impressive thing is the big umbrella on the roof, and the various decorations are very unique. The toothbrush is not disposable, but a Sanxiao toothbrush sold in the supermarket. The toothpaste is from Heimei. Although it is also in a small bottle, it is much larger than the ones in ordinary hotels. It is no problem to brush five or six times. The shower is also very easy to use, and the hot water comes out quickly and the water volume is large. The front desk service is also very good. My stay in an executive king room at the Luoyang International Hotel was exceptional. The executive benefits were extensive and satisfying, with the executive lounge offering afternoon tea, evening snacks, and cocktails – great value for money.
From the warm welcome at the entrance, the efficient check-in process, and the thoughtful explanations, to the room service, breakfast buffet, and executive lounge, the service was consistently meticulous and attentive, making me feel right at home. Doormen proactively opened car doors when I entered or exited the hotel, and the restaurant and lounge staff were quick to seat guests and clear dishes, demonstrating excellent service awareness.
Breakfast offered a rich and diverse selection. There were six or seven egg options alone, including boiled eggs, tea eggs, fried eggs, eggs Benedict, English scrambled eggs, omelets, and poached eggs. The spread featured both Western and Chinese dishes, along with local Luoyang specialties, providing a wide range of choices.
The hotel's location is excellent, with easy access to taxis and the subway. The surroundings were quiet at night, which was a huge plus for light sleepers.
My only minor suggestion would be for the lounge to add a signature cocktail with a local Luoyang flair; that would elevate the experience even further.

I rarely leave reviews, but this time I just had to because the hotel was so exceptional, and I didn't want the hard work of all the staff to go unnoticed.
I stayed for four days, and the room was incredibly comfortable, spacious, clean, and beautiful. But beyond the room's comfort, the service truly provided an overwhelming amount of emotional value. 👍
The complimentary pick-up and drop-off service was fantastic. The driver was formally dressed, neat, and proactively helped us with all our luggage. The car was also spotless, and everyone received a wet towel and a bottle of mineral water upon entering. The attention to detail in their service was outstanding.
The front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic and diligent. Every day, they offered a free selection of snacks, beverages, ice cream, and tea bags. Whenever we had questions, they answered with genuine warmth and enthusiasm, and even gave us various small gifts, which was a delightful surprise.
The housekeeping service was absolutely unparalleled; it made you feel like royalty (like even the emperor would bow to you! 😂). All the housekeeping ladies not only fulfilled every request but also proactively anticipated our needs. For example, when they saw my glasses on the table, a housekeeping attendant proactively brought an eyeglass case. When they noticed we had a lot of clothes, a lady would bring a drying rack. And when they saw our cosmetics scattered on the table, another lady brought two small cosmetic bags to help us organize and carry them more conveniently.
The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options, with a comprehensive selection of Chinese and Western, hot and cold dishes. The restaurant staff would also proactively and randomly ask guests daily, 'How was your rest last night? Do you have any suggestions for improvement?' If they saw a guest carrying too many plates, they would offer to help carry them back to the table. For dishes that took a few minutes to prepare, they would ask for the table number and deliver them. If you didn't want to go downstairs for breakfast, they could even deliver it to your room.
The parking attendant was also amazing, helping with parking, moving cars, and safekeeping keys. Whenever you parked, the attendant was always there, truly providing constant assistance. 😂

Pleasantly surprised! The price was about 60% of what the Friendship Hotel next door charged, maybe I got some kind of discount. They offer free shuttle service to the airport and high-speed rail station, and if the shuttle is full, they'll reimburse your taxi fare. The hotel rooms are new, they provide complimentary fruit, and you can even get free Haibi Luoyang soda at the front desk – there are three flavors, but the lemon one is the best. Let's start with the positives: This is an older, established hotel. While the facilities show their age, many small details highlight their service philosophy. For example, the 'Whim Card' lists numerous small items they can provide, which is very comprehensive. The TV remote control was disinfected and packaged. The mini-fridge contained local, classic sodas. This shows that their overall service is on point. The room was spacious enough and I didn't notice any major issues with cleanliness. Breakfast was abundant and very good.
Now for the negatives: The facilities definitely need an upgrade. The computer still runs on Windows 7, and the software versions are even older. It should just be removed, there's really no need for it to be there. I suggest repairing the bathroom and faucets. The switch for diverting water between the bathtub and the showerhead isn't properly sealed; when you run the bath, the showerhead drips everywhere. The same issue exists with the shower itself. I had heard about Huayang's excellent service before, and experiencing it firsthand was truly wonderful. Upon check-in, I was offered a hot towel to clean my hands. The front desk lady smoothly took my ID and immediately put a protective cover on it. The room was clean and tidy, and there was an abundance of toiletries. Every staff member was very friendly, always greeting me with a nod whenever we met. During a typhoon, my laundry wasn't drying well, and the staff promptly helped me resolve the issue. What really stood out was returning to find my clothes, which I had hung in the bathroom, had been taken out and neatly arranged on a drying rack. It felt like a 'snail girl' (a mythical helpful fairy) had visited – these small gestures made me feel incredibly cared for. Next time I'm in Luoyang, I will definitely stay at Huayang again. Several friends highly recommended we stay here if we were visiting Longmen Grottoes. I'm glad I listened to their advice, because their taste is excellent! The hotel is located on East Mountain, facing the Longmen Grottoes on West Mountain across the river. You can even see some of the grottoes from the rooftop terrace of Building 5. The hotel is right next to Xiangshan Temple and surrounds Bai Garden, offering beautiful scenery at every turn.
The service is also excellent. You can book an electric shuttle at the front desk to take you to the East Gate of the Grottoes, then walk or take another shuttle to the Northwest Gate ticket office. After exploring the Grottoes and Bai Garden, it's just a short walk back to the hotel. The room type we booked even included a free send-off service to the station, which was very convenient.
While the decor might be a little dated, the facilities are complete. It's clean and hygienic, with welcome fruit and complimentary snacks and drinks. The breakfast offers a wide variety of dishes, all rich and delicious, though the coffee was really not good, haha. We had lunch in the banquet hall, using a BOGO deal from Ctrip for two people, and the portion sizes were incredibly generous and tasty!
Upon check-in, we received a voucher for the tea room on the upper floor's terrace. Enjoying tea and a book there was incredibly pleasant! The lady working at the tea room provided amazing service.

Luoyang is truly a city you won't want to leave once you've arrived! So many museums to explore, endless beautiful sights to see. I stayed here for all 4 days of my trip, and the hotel was fully equipped, with excellent service and a fantastic location.
