Very small rooms for a really high price! Bed was really hard, and not suitable without waking up many times a night with backpains. I had a wonderful experience during my stay. Everything was fantastic from the beginning to the end. The hotel is well maintained, and the overall atmosphere is very pleasant and welcoming.
The staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. A special thanks to Keshav and Himanshu(Front desk) for their warm hospitality and excellent service.
The restaurant staff were also very professional, well-presented, and attentive. It was clear that the team takes great pride in providing a high standard of service.

Extremely polite and friendly. I showed up late, confused, and tired. The Octave crew went out of their way to make sure all my needs were met. Got me breakfast and back to the airport early the next morning to catch a ferry. Malé is tightly packed and very confusing, I wouldn't have made it without their help. It feels quite close to Male Airport, take a taxi and cross a bridge, then shuttle in the alleys, it takes about 10-15 minutes to arrive.
The boss is a German who has lived in the Maldives for more than ten years. Two days before the arrival day, the boss Thomas began to contact us by email, including when we arrived, how much luggage, how many people and so on. After customs clearance on the day of arrival, Thomas' staff has already picked up the guests with a sign at the hotel entrance (free pick-up service is included in my reservation). He greeted us at the door before arriving at his small hotel. Very polite and caring. If there is no problem with your communication needs, the boss Thomas will give you a lot of tips for traveling on the island, such as how much local currency is appropriate to exchange, what local regulations are there, and so on.
It is very important that this hotel should be the best Thai restaurant on Male Island. Very authentic thanks to the owner Thomas should have some stories in Thailand, there is no gossip about the specifics. If you eat a meal in person, the boss will recommend and serve you personally. Don't order too much.
The next day we went to the resort island. It was a very pleasant day to stay in this hotel on Male Island. It is very convenient to buy swimming goggles, clothes, shoes and other necessary items in the hotel.

Due to the situation in the Middle East, we were forced to stay longer in the Maldives. For the first two nights, we stayed at a four-star hotel in Malé, but it cannot be compared to this hotel. The Hulhule Hotel is very spacious, with beautiful grounds. Our room (suite) had a magnificent view and was very spacious and clean, considering the hotel has been open since 2002. The hotel has a large pool and a small artificial beach. The food at breakfast and dinner was good. The staff, especially during breakfast and dinner, were very friendly and helpful. Our stay in the apartment was wonderful! It is a large apartment with three bedrooms, a large living room and a fully equipped kitchen. In the apartment of 3 bathrooms (showers) it is very convenient! In the bathrooms there is shampoo, air conditioning and shower gel; more than enough towels for all living.
Beautiful interior, which makes staying particularly pleasant. Big TV with different channels in all languages - this is estimated by our child 😊

🚗 Transportation & Getting Around
The hotel's location is absolutely perfect! Whether you're heading to the pier for a speedboat to another island, or exploring Malé city, it's incredibly convenient. During this trip, whether it was the expansive roads on the sea bridge or the narrow streets of the city, taking a taxi was always smooth. The drivers were really friendly too, so I didn't have to worry about transportation at all. It's super friendly for first-time visitors to Malé!

I felt so welcomed as soon as I arrived! The front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic and prepared welcome gifts for us. Even the envelope had my name printed on it – talk about attention to detail! The room was clean and tidy, with full amenities. The lounge area was tastefully decorated, and the corner with dried flower arrangements had a wonderful ambiance. Coming back to the hotel at night to unwind after a long day was truly therapeutic.

The hotel's restaurant was another fantastic surprise!
- The seafood platter was incredibly generous! Crab, squid, mussels, clams... all fresh and plump. Paired with refreshing lemon and herbs, every bite was bursting with the taste of the sea. The portion was huge, easily enough for two people!
- And then there was the local-style fried rice. The grains of rice were perfectly separated, complemented by tender chicken and a soulful spicy sauce. It was so fragrant, I polished off the entire plate! The side dishes like fries and grilled vegetables were also very flavorful, even the dipping sauce was so good I wanted to take it home. 😂

Just a moment after we entered the door of Hotel Flora we were treated to drink a fresh mango juice and wet towels to wash our faces and hands. We spent less than five minutes to complete our formalities, personally guided to our room by a lovely receptionist who fully informed us about all necessary info on Male and local vendors. The suite we accommodated to our surprise was like an apartment: a bedroom , a bathroom, a living room with sofa, two TVs and a fridge. In the morning we enjoyed our breakfast, simple , but tasty, additionally we asked the waitress to cook omelette for us , which we got it ready in 5 minutes. Each hotel employee we met , expressed his/her respect and politeness. The location is quite convenient, easy to reach supermarkets or cafes on foot, it is around 10 minutes walk to Ferry ⛴️ Terminal if you plan to continue your voyage to the islands, inside of the waiting area you may find the ferry schedule and the booking office.
