What airports are closest to Mazatlan?
Arriving travelers will find Mazatlán International Airport (MZT), which sits 16.7 km from the heart of the city center. This facility is well-equipped to handle domestic and international arrivals, with the most direct transport being the authorized airport taxi, which takes approximately 20 minutes to reach downtown. For a slightly more economical route, travelers can utilize shared shuttles that typically take about 30 minutes to drop passengers off at major hotels or the historic center. Those preferring to navigate the city independently may rent a vehicle directly from the terminal, with a drive time of around 25 minutes. For the most budget-conscious, while public bus options exist, they often require a journey of over 1 hour to reach the main transit terminals. Regardless of your mode of transport, the airport serves as the primary hub for accessing all of Mazatlán’s famous coastal resorts and cultural landmarks. Compare 1 airports near Mazatlan
For the vast majority of travelers, Mazatlán International Airport (MZT) is the only gateway to the region. As this airport is located within the city of Mazatlán itself, it provides the most convenient access for those visiting the historical center, the Golden Zone, or the various beach resorts along the coast. While international and domestic flights primarily use this facility, travelers should be aware that the ground transportation landscape is dominated by a union-controlled taxi system and pre-booked shuttle services. If you are seeking the most comfortable or direct route to your accommodation, the authorized airport taxis are the most reliable option, offering fixed, zone-based pricing. Budget-conscious travelers may look toward shared shuttles, though these often require advanced booking or waiting for other passengers. Public transit, while available, is generally not recommended for those with significant luggage due to the need for multiple transfers. Regardless of your choice, it is advisable to confirm your transport plans before your arrival, especially if you are traveling with a large group or have specific mobility requirements.

The location of their private beach is the best in my opinion it’s so clean. The service of the hotel is too strict. I ran into problems because of the bracelet thing. One of my family members got her deers erased by being in the beach and she was stopped and asked to go to the reception to check if she was a guest at the hotel but we told the security to look at our bracelets and they were from the hotel and my grandmas was also fading yet he didn’t believe us so we had to go to the reception. It was time wasted that we had to deal with just for them to be yes they are guests. And then it happened again because the first time they didn’t change our bracelets when they should’ve have done that in the first place. FromUS$106

Nice and big room. Staff super friendly. Despite I would not recommend the tours sold at site (in particular Isla de la Piedra one). Swimming pool water was surprisingly cold the night we tried it.FromUS$56

The hotel is simple and has a family atmosphere. It is located in a central area where one can easily move to different tourist and entertainment points. I am pleased to mention that the people who work in the hotel are warm, friendly and one feels in a hospitable environment; I think that is the best feature of the place. The only thing that I see as negative is the mention in the hotel regulations where they prohibit introducing food and drinks in the recreation areas; which is disappointing. Apart from that, it is a good option to spend time with the family and get to know this wonderful city.FromUS$52

At our check-in took 45minutes, A/C in room was extremely noisy, broken sink, no acces to WiFi, (WiFi is offered by hotel),
We was 3 persons, towels enough for 2p every day, we need to request extra shampoo and towels every day, only 1 key card for the room(no second key available), slow elevator. Bathroom no handicap accessible, minimum control on noise in the hallway. These was not a good experience, pay for 4 people, we only arrived 3p. Hotel refuse to provide credit back

The location of the Hotel 10/10. I know that these are their policies but it seemed a little unfair to us that you couldn't consume anything (beer, water, snacks or any food) if it wasn't from the bar, in the area of the pool and lounge chairs. From then on everything is in order.FromUS$87

The service is normal in general, with exceptions, such as excellent valet parking (they charge you extra for this service, $100 a day), but the one who prepares the omelettes is bad. The food is good, at least what I chose, the zarandeado was exquisite. The pool is generic, not the best. I think the internet is good.
The worst are the rooms, mattresses in terrible condition, and rusty hotel accessories.
They have sales agents to sell you hotel nights, ignore them, this is in very bad taste, they trick you into giving you 3 nights as a gift, which is a farce, they are just trying to sell you.FromUS$100
