Peacock 🦚 The boss is a detail-oriented person, the villa is not big, but the layout is very careful. When we checked in, we also sent iced coffee, turned on the air conditioning in the room in advance, the room had a faint fragrance, very comfortable. They even wore a headset and hat when they made breakfast. The fruit for breakfast was very rich. We had seven fruits that morning. Close to the big beach, the swimming pool in front of the building, the breakfast and dinner buffet is rich, the reception is good. The room on the first floor had a musty smell, and the room management leader said that it was a good room for the second floor. Four people booked two rooms. This one is on the first floor. The facilities are average, but they are air-conditioned. They ordered the whale watching boat ticket from the boss the next day. The ticket was handed to the driver. The driver changed the cruise ship and made a difference.FromUS$14

The standard of this hotel and it's rooms, is exceptional!
Definetly 10 out of 10 for mine ,as l have stayed in 100,s of hotels around the world over the past 30 years,( except for Covid)
it;s not beach front ,but it is only a short scenic walk to a great beach area any way!
The staff where very friendly and helpful in advice on where to visit etc.
Would certainly stay again ,and l recomend this hotel to any one wishing to stay in this area.FromUS$76

There is a mini beach near the hotel, about 5 minutes walk, more than one kilometer to the main beach, or take a sudden car, the room is not small, you can really see the sea view, health, in a few days in Sri Lanka, I am used to it. Breakfast is fruit bread and the like. I go to eat around ten o'clock. I don't even have an omelette. I don't know if it is late, and many ants crawl on the dining table. Amazing view of the ocean from our room - the property sits right in front of the ocean. From the verandah in front of your room, you can watch the waves the whole day, there is no need to go to any of the beaches in Mirissa. Breakfast was delicious too, and they even cooked the fish we caught (for a fee). However, don't expect the same creature comforts of an international 4 or 5 star hotel despite being priced higher. The furniture is also rather dated and the room was not very clean. Overall a decent and memorable experience.Very Good12 Reviews

Our Sri Lankan vacation began in Mirissa and the Randiya Sea View Hotel. I was worried that our hotel was located right next to the road and would be noisy, but believe me, you'll hear more noise from the ocean waves, which we were absolutely delighted with. The reception staff was very friendly and kind. There's a swimming pool next to the hotel, which we really enjoyed. You can borrow large towels from reception and use them on the sun loungers by the pool. We were lucky enough to catch a gorgeous sunset from our room. A big plus of this hotel is its close proximity to the ocean, despite having to cross the road. We walked to Parrot Rock, which is very close, and Coconut Tree Hill is also within walking distance. There are many cafes with sun loungers along the coastline. We swam on the left side of the beach, closer to Parrot Rock, where the waves are calmer. Mirissa Gate is an excellent hotel with a fantastic team managing. Everyone was so nice, incredibly helpful and they felt more like family members by the end of the stay. Nothing was too much trouble. There were days we missed breakfast time and they still made us a huge buffet breakfast! They organised our trips we wanted to do and they even upgraded our room for free, for no reason. It was just avaliable! Out of all the places we stayed in Sri Lanka, this was our favourite. It is right on the beach and not far from the famous mirissa beach which is either a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute tuk tuk ride, which the hotel help organised too.
