Airport Guide

Compare 4 airports near Nanchang

The nearest and most accessible entry point to Nanchang is Nanchang Changbei International Airport (KHN), located just 20.14 km away. As the city's primary domestic and international hub, it offers the most efficient transit, with airport shuttle buses being the budget-friendly choice and taxis providing the fastest 35-minute door-to-door arrival. For travelers arriving at regional airports, ground connectivity relies heavily on China's expansive high-speed rail (HSR) network. Jiujiang Lushan Airport (JIU) is 88.33 km away and connects well via HSR from the local station. Jingdezhen Luojia Airport (JDZ) and Yichun Mingyueshan Airport (YIC) are further away at 147.79 km and 180.69 km respectively, making high-speed rail the recommended speed-focused option for those passengers. While long-distance buses are cheaper, they are significantly slower. Travelers are advised to use high-speed rail whenever possible for the best balance of speed and comfort, as taxi costs for these longer distances become prohibitive. Always check real-time HSR schedules and book tickets in advance, especially during major Chinese public holidays.

This hotel is perfectly located right by the Gan River, making it super convenient for getting around. It's about a 15-20 minute taxi ride to attractions like Tengwang Pavilion, the Provincial Museum, and Wanshou Palace, and only 40 minutes from the airport. Plus, you can walk to the riverside park in just a few minutes. Behind the hotel, there's a residential area packed with restaurants, noodle shops, convenience stores, supermarkets, fruit stands, and even street food vendors at night – it's incredibly handy! I had a river view room, and the sunset views were absolutely stunning, with the Ferris wheel visible in the distance. The room amenities were decent; while the decor might not be the latest trend and leans a bit towards an older, opulent style, it didn't detract from the stay at all. The breakfast spread was extensive, featuring a great variety of Nanchang specialties like soup noodles, mixed noodles, Wagan soup, and white sugar cakes. The dining area was also quite spacious. The hotel staff were incredibly warm and attentive. When checking in with my child, they even provided a kids' amenity kit. Before I arrived, a package was delivered, and the front desk kindly signed for it. They also delivered my takeout orders directly to my room. When one of my takeout orders got mixed up by the delivery robot, a staff member tracked it down and personally brought it to my room. I even had something delivered to the hotel from Taobao, and the front desk accepted it and helped arrange onward shipping to my final destination (though I paid the shipping fee), which was truly excellent service. And let's not forget the swimming pool – the water was really clean – and the well-equipped gym. If I ever go back to Nanchang, I'll definitely stay here again.

The room was very comfortable, and the surrounding area was lively. The hotel's pool and gym were super convenient. My kids had a fantastic time, making it perfect for a summer holiday. The breakfast had a great variety, and the service was attentive and thoughtful. Every day when we returned, our room was spotlessly clean. Coming back to the hotel on a hot day felt just like coming home.

The Jiangxi Hotel is advertised as an old five-star hotel. Its location is decent, right next to a subway station, but the facilities are quite outdated. When I was first checked in, they made a point of saying it was an 'upgraded room.' However, the room had an incredibly strong musty smell; I literally couldn't breathe, which is a first for me in any hotel. I'm not sure if it was intentional. They then moved me to an adjacent room, which still had a musty smell, though it became slightly better after airing it out for a bit. They claimed this room was better because the carpet had been replaced compared to the previous one, but the duvet felt damp, so I had to take it out to the balcony to air. There were also too few pillows, and when the main light was turned on, I could see a lot of dust and dirt on it. I just endured the night, but the experience was not good. Breakfast was acceptable. In the future, I'll need to be much more careful when choosing a hotel.

Stayed for 2 nights whilst visiting Nanchang during National Week. A decent stay all in all. The decor is a bit old fashioned and the walls a little thin. But the room was large and comfortable, the service was very good, and it’s right next to a metro station, making travel easy. Best of all, the windows are very thick which drowns out the city noise well (Nanchang drivers seem to love blaring their horns) Breakfast was a little disappointing. We were told it was open till 12 but when we went down at 9:30 there were very few options left. If you’re a late riser it might be best to get takeaway.

Let's start with the downsides: 1. The room facilities are clearly aging, including the toilet, shower, and small sofa. The deluxe river-view twin room I stayed in on the 2nd/3rd night had even worse facilities than the executive king room on the first night. 2. The housekeeping department lacks basic amenities like a step stool for children (they said it's only provided for family rooms). 3. Soundproofing isn't great. If your room is a bit close to the elevator lobby, it can get quite noisy. 4. Adjusting the air conditioning temperature didn't seem to have any effect, though the overall comfort was still acceptable. Now for the highlights: 1. The river-facing rooms offer an unbeatable view. The scenery is even more beautiful than in the photos. 2. From a tourist perspective, the location is excellent. Tengwang Pavilion and Dashiyuan are very close, and Wanshou Palace is also within walking distance. 3. The breakfast quality is decent, with a wide variety of options, including many local Nanchang specialties. The view from the restaurant windows during breakfast is also fantastic. 4. Although the hotel is tall, the elevators are fast and the water pressure is good, effectively avoiding common high-rise living issues. 5. The staff at the concierge, front desk, customer service, and restaurant are all very enthusiastic and have a great attitude. Other notes: The afternoon tea provided with the executive room on the first day was quite good. However, the welcome fruit platter was only delivered on the third day and wasn't of great quality.

Pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade to what I think is their suite room, or junior suite at least, on the highest floor at Level 26. A huge living room with a working desk and separate toilet. A luxurious bedroom with loads of space, a walk-in open wardrobe big enough for 2 large luggages. Bathtub, standing shower, another toilet and twin basins. Bed is firm but pillows are too soft for my liking. Service was also on point, Barry at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I guess all these makes up for the location. It's near the exhibition centre and Nanjingxi train station but other than that there's nothing else within walking distance. Luckily food delivery is fast and cheap here, same with ride hailing. I wish the hotel had robots sending my delivery up though. And that the lifts worked faster. But overall it's a good stay and will be my choice hotel the next time I attend an exhibition here.

This was a truly heartwarming stay that exceeded all expectations: genuine care in every detail, service so good it felt like home. This is by far the most satisfying hotel experience I’ve had this year, completely surpassing all my imaginings of what an excellent hotel should be. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, the thoughtful and meticulous service made me feel profoundly “at home.” The hotel’s service is truly outstanding. The front desk staff's warm smiles and efficient check-in process instantly melted away our travel fatigue. What’s even more remarkable is their incredible “proactiveness” and “foresight”: noticing we had a child with us, they immediately prepared children's slippers and toothbrushes. When we asked about local cuisine, the staff enthusiastically and professionally offered several recommendations. I must say, Nanchang indeed boasts a rich and delicious culinary scene. Room service was incredibly prompt; whether we needed extra bottles of water for tea or other items, a single phone call ensured delivery within minutes. The most touching aspect was the care that went beyond their duties: returning from sightseeing the next day, we found a handwritten note on the table, kindly reminding us to dress warmly as the weather was getting colder. This familial concern warmed our entire family's hearts. A small incident during check-out moved us all even more: I accidentally left my iPad in the room, and the hotel contacted me immediately after discovering it. When I returned to retrieve my luggage, the front desk staff personally went upstairs to retrieve my iPad for me, saving me the trouble. This level of guest-centric thinking is truly precious. While some of the hotel's facilities show slight signs of age, they are well-maintained, fully functional, and thoughtfully designed to meet guests' actual needs. We later opted to upgrade our room for an additional charge, which proved to be excellent value for money. The upgraded room featured an extra-large projection TV, keeping our child quietly and happily entertained with cartoons, providing us with some much-needed relaxation. The mattress and pillows were soft and comfortable, ensuring a full night's sleep for the entire family. A special shout-out to the hotel for providing a “bed rail” service! For families with young children, this offers immense peace of mind—something we hadn't encountered in many other hotels we’ve stayed at, truly showcasing their attention to detail. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, strong water pressure, and quick hot water, making for a very comfortable showering experience. The hotel also offers complimentary self-service laundry, which is extremely convenient for long-term travelers. Overall, for a four-star hotel, it has all the necessary facilities, all functioning perfectly. The room's cleanliness was impeccable. From the floors to the tabletops, from the bedding to the bathroom, everything was spotless, dust-free, and stain-free. The bathroom also remained dry and bright, making it very reassuring to use. Excellent hygiene is the cornerstone of a comfortable stay, and the hotel delivered on this reliably. This stay truly made me realize that an excellent hotel not only provides a comfortable sleeping environment but also creates countless beautiful memories through its meticulous service moments. It's not just a place to spend the night, but a warm sanctuary where the whole family can relax and feel cherished. If I ever visit this city again, I will undoubtedly choose this hotel without hesitation. Finally, a heartfelt thank you to all the hotel staff for their hard work and genuine hospitality—you’ve done a wonderful job!

Regarding the environment: The room was very clean. The main thing was its proximity to Nanchang West Station, and the room had a beautiful view – I could just lie down and enjoy the lake view. Regarding the service: During my period, I called the front desk, and they promptly sent up sanitary pads and brown sugar. It felt very heartwarming. Regarding cleanliness: I stayed for several days, and the housekeeping staff cleaned the room daily. One day, I accidentally pressed the 'Do Not Disturb' button, but the cleaning lady still went in. I only found out when the front desk called me. This attention to detail really put me at ease. Overall, I was quite satisfied with my stay, and it offered good value for money!

Choosing the Jiangjing Holiday Hotel on the west bank of Ganjiang River for our trip during the National Day holiday was definitely the right decision. We're a family of three, and the receptionist, a handsome boy, upgraded us to a river-view suite, which gave us a fantastic view of the stunning Tengwang Pavilion across the river. The hotel's parking was convenient, and it was super easy to take the metro to the attractions on the other side. Breakfast was plentiful, although the omelet made by the chef didn’t look too great. Overall, I highly recommend this place!

The hotel boasts an excellent location, with a vibrant array of shops and supermarkets nearby. What truly stands out is the outstanding service. During check-in, as our reserved room wasn't ready, we were immediately upgraded to a suite, and all subsequent service was incredibly prompt. Our package included a complimentary shuttle service to Haihunhou, and upon contacting the front desk manager, the arrangement was promptly made. Overall, I'd give this hotel a strong recommendation. This hotel I chose for my business trip deserves a five-star rating! The front desk staff was super efficient during check-in; everything was done in three minutes. He even offered me a glass of lemonade, saying he noticed I was sweating from my journey, which instantly melted away my travel fatigue. The hotel's breakfast was an even bigger surprise – I could enjoy local specialty mixed rice noodles and clay pot soup without having to go out, which was absolutely fantastic! At checkout, the front desk proactively asked if I needed to print my itinerary, with zero delays throughout the process. This level of service and attention to detail perfectly hits all the right notes for business travelers. Next time I'm in this city for work, I'll definitely choose this hotel again!
