Fantastic location right in the city center, just behind the Old Market. It's a quick 5-minute walk to the castle and the Robinson statue. There's a bus stop right downstairs, making it super easy to get to the train station. The room was clean and tidy, and the mattress was comfortable, not too soft or too firm. They even had a Nespresso machine with coffee pods! My only minor complaints are that the facilities are a bit dated and the room is on the smaller side. The breakfast was a good English continental spread with a nice variety, especially plenty of fresh fruit, and you could order freshly made eggs or omelets. Service was excellent, and both check-in and check-out were quick. They even offer free apples in the lobby, though the air freshener scent in the lobby felt a bit cheap. The entrance was so difficult to get to, with such a huge detour to walk around just to get to the entrance. The service and check-in was woeful, when we checked in late at night. The person at the desk didn't know how to check us in, and the other person who was supposed to know how to do the check-in was not around- and had to be called back down. Long wait to check in late that night, even though there was no other guest waiting. The car parking arrangement was terrible as well, and didn't work with their supposed online link up with the parking provider. Very average experience.FromUS$62

The location was convenient and the facilities were quite complete. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our original room was next to the elevator and was quite noisy, but they helped us change to another room quickly, which we appreciated.
However, the cleanliness could be improved. We found a very large spider in the room, which was unpleasant. The hotel also provides luggage storage service, but there was no dedicated storage area, so it did not feel very secure.

I wasn’t going to mention this but i still feel upset. I would of given 5 out of 5 for service until this incident happened.
We had a lovely meal and the service was great!! So on top of the 12.5 tip that was included in the bill we decided to give the bartender an extra £20 to share with the waitress.
As my husband and I walked out of the bar we both heard him comment to another member of staff ‘ All that for £20’. This sat badly with us so we decided to mention this at reception next morning. They said they would investigate this but they seemed surprised and eluded that we must be mistaken!! Sadly for that reason we’ve marked the service down for the lack of feedback!!FromUS$100

Having never stayed over in Nottingham we wanted somewhere central and St James BW Premier was excellent in our view. We chose an executive room which had everything we wanted and was bigger than we expected. Breakfast was in a tasteful and warmly decorated room which was perfect for our Xmas market weekend “feel”. My husband said the breakfast was the best he had had during a hotel break stay.
The service was excellent too with a clean well stocked room and a friendly receptionist. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and would definitely come back if staying over in Nottingham again!FromUS$70

Hi it was a nice stay overall. It’s a 10min walk from Nottingham train station (you can get the bus that will leave you right outside but it’s £3 for a 2min journey!) The room was nice, lovely view. I think the hotel interiors are due for modernisation as it’s very dated overall. Could you install a privacy curtain as I was able to see into apartments facing me. Carpets need professional clean or replacing as there were visible stubborn stains in my room and on carpet in the corridor. Tesco express literally next door which is great.FromUS$55

Our room is a double room with an extra sofa bed. Room is smaller than expected and different from the photos . But location is very good and right next to Victoria Centre . Room is clean in general with cold aircon but with few things,like toys, bottles under bed. Lovely hotel - couldn’t get a better location sadly let down by the size of the room (bathroom was ok) but bedroom was very tight. By far the worst problem was a lack of working air conditioning. It was a hot night and although an air con unit was in the room we couldn’t get it to work no matter what we tried. Due to the heat, sleep was a scarce commodity during our stay. If we’d have booked for longer than a night I would have not have slept in that room again if there was working no air con. FromUS$93

As i was attending a funeral of a dear family member, I was very pleased with the location and more importantly the cleanlines and stress free stay at the orchard hotel. My room was very spacious and clean. The staff were wonderful and helpful in every aspect. The food in the restaurant was above par and well deserved. a trip to Nottingham would definatly warrant a further stay at this hotel. 5 star for definate and would certainly stay again.
