From the moment I was collected at the airport to the seamless check-in experience, everything at the Radisson Blu Resort Phu Quoc was first class. As a VIP member, I was delighted to be upgraded to a beautiful King Suite with as sea view of the Gulf of Thailand, and enjoyed complimentary half board throughout my stay, which made the experience even more special.
What impressed me most was the warmth and professionalism of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone worked hard to ensure my stay was comfortable, relaxing and completely stress free. A special mention must go to George and Vitia, who were exceptional throughout my visit. They are outstanding ambassadors for the Radisson brand and their genuine hospitality made a lasting impression.
The resort itself is stunning. The enormous swimming pool and pristine private beach make this a must-visit destination when travelling to Phu Quoc. The food was excellent throughout, with the breakfast buffet being particularly impressive, offering an incredible variety and quality.
This was my first stay at the Radisson Blu Resort Phu Quoc, but it certainly won’t be my last. I look forward to returning soon with my family, and I know they will absolutely love it just as much as I did.

Our first time experiencing this place at SOL was simply amazing! The private beach and pool with breathtaking sunset views were absolutely stunning. The service was excellent, and the staff were young, cheerful, and incredibly quick and enthusiastic to help us. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a thank you note along with a dessert from SOL. Additionally, SOL offers complimentary afternoon tea and a variety of services like yoga, a gym, and a spa. The breakfast was diverse and delicious. This hotel offered a fantastic check-in experience! The facilities were excellent, with pools of varying depths and a private beach. They even provided free kayak rentals. Even though we arrived before check-in time, the hotel thoughtfully arranged for us to enjoy complimentary snacks and relax at the restaurant.
The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, with massage parlors, a supermarket, and a variety of international dining options nearby, including Italian restaurants, Vietnamese pho, and French bakeries.
For transportation, the hotel offers a free shuttle bus to Sunset Town and Sun World Cable Car Station, running approximately every half hour. I visited last week during Phu Quoc's rainy season, so it was pretty much raining constantly. The hotel wasn't very busy, mostly with Chinese guests. While the environment is beautiful, the service was poor. I booked two rooms and they were upgraded to sea-view rooms.
Around 2-3 AM on the night we checked in, the fire alarm in both of our rooms went off automatically. We rushed out of the hotel only to find nothing was wrong; only our rooms had alarms sounding. My kids and elderly family members were all startled awake. No hotel staff contacted us or checked on us at the time, and no one seemed to care. The next day, I proactively went to the front desk to complain about the incident. The front desk explained that the hotel system had an anomaly the previous night, which could cause random rooms to trigger automatic alarms. They offered a verbal apology, and that was it – no substantial compensation.
Then, on the second night, my 3-year-old child was playing on the hotel sofa. Because the edge of the sofa was rounded and slippery, my child fell off and fractured their arm. The next day, I asked hotel staff about hospital arrangements. The hotel only sent a local staff member who spoke English and Vietnamese, even though there were clearly Chinese-speaking staff available. They only provided a car to the hospital. Compared to how they treat Caucasian guests, there's a clear disparity in service. After my child had a cast put on at the hospital, the hotel still didn't follow up or check in on us.

If you plan to visit the southern part of the island - buggy/ the park, it takes around an hour by taxi.
There is only one restaurant inside the hotel.
There is no restaurant, cafe or local hawkers outside the hotel within walking distance.
The hotel has a large pool where close to the beach, it has nice view with great music by the disc jockey. You can pay for cocktails and snacks. It is excellent relaxing when swimming inside the hotel.

I recently stayed at Mövenpick Villas and, overall, had a pleasant experience. The property itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and offers a relaxing atmosphere that’s perfect for a getaway.
The villa was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The bed and pillows were excellent, making it easy to get a good night’s sleep after a day of exploring. The resort amenities were also impressive, and one of the highlights of the stay was definitely the chocolate buffet—a signature Mövenpick experience that didn’t disappoint.
During my stay, the water heater in the villa malfunctioned. I contacted the concierge through the app, and to their credit, the maintenance team responded promptly and resolved the issue quickly. That level of efficiency was much appreciated.
Unfortunately, there were a couple of service-related experiences that prevented this from being a five-star stay.
The biggest disappointment was that one of my perfume bottles was accidentally broken during housekeeping. While I understand that accidents can happen, what mattered more was how the situation was handled. After reporting it to the concierge, I was simply informed that they would need to investigate the matter, which could take quite some time. There was no immediate apology or any form of service recovery offered during my stay. Even if the investigation was necessary, a sincere apology and some acknowledgment of the inconvenience would have gone a long way in showing that guest concerns are taken seriously.
Another area that could be improved is the buggy service. Communication is primarily done through the resort’s app, which generally works well. However, on the morning of checkout, we requested a buggy to bring us to the lobby. After waiting more than 15 minutes without any update, we eventually decided to walk ourselves while dragging our luggage all the way to the reception. It wasn’t the ideal way to end an otherwise relaxing holiday.
Overall, Mövenpick Villas has a lot going for it. The beautiful surroundings, clean and comfortable villas, excellent amenities, delicious chocolate buffet, and responsive maintenance team made for an enjoyable stay. With more proactive service recovery when issues arise and a more reliable buggy service, I believe the guest experience could be elevated significantly.
I would still recommend Mövenpick Villas for anyone looking for a relaxing escape, and I hope the resort continues to refine its guest service to match the high standard of its facilities.FromUS$75
