I booked a Super King Room at Taal Vista Hotel expecting a proper 5-star experience, but unfortunately, the service was disappointing.
Upon arrival, we waited around 10–15 minutes at the lobby even without a long line. After check-in, nobody assisted us going to our room. The staff only gave directions and did not offer help with our luggage, causing us to get lost looking for our room. We also tried calling for assistance by dialing 4 several times, but nobody answered.
In the end, we had to move our car closer to the building ourselves because the parking area was far from the room. There were also no complimentary welcome drinks or even bottled water despite the expensive room rates.
I understand that our room was in the older building, but the price certainly is not “old.” Compared to other 5-star hotels like Conrad Manila, where staff assist guests immediately and provide much better hospitality, the difference in service is very noticeable.
The view and ambiance are nice, but the customer service definitely needs improvement to match its 5-star reputation.FromUS$84

I got what I came for so I’m a satisfied customer. I visited in rainy season and got a dry spell and the view is great and a nice breeze.
Buffer breakfast was decent and was changed each day. The staff were always friendly.
Negatives. The reviews I read were accurate the walls are thin. On Saturday morning I was out from 4am to 11am and the room was not turned over but I suppose I didn’t hang a sign. The hotel is not that big, so the gym is limited but functional. The pool is not heated but again the view.FromUS$105

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay! It's one of the most family-friendly hotels we've visited. The amenities were excellent, especially the kiddie pool, which our kids absolutely loved. The farm activities were a huge hit too. They were fun, interactive, and gave the little ones a chance to experience something different. We also enjoyed the complimentary movie night, which was a nice way to end the day.
The breakfast buffet had a good variety of delicious food, and everything was well-prepared. Our room was also very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making our stay even more relaxing.

The room, amenities, hotel ambiance, and service at Via Appia Hotel are great. The staff are friendly, and the place is very comfortable.
The only issue I experienced was with the bathroom heater and hot water. The heater initially wasn’t working, so I called for it to be fixed. The technician came. Tried to fix it and said it was working now. However, when it was time to shower before checkout, the hot water in the bathroom only lasted for a few seconds before turning cold again. I had to turn the water off and on repeatedly to get hot water for short periods. This can be quite inconvenient, especially since the hotel is in Tagaytay, where the weather is very cold.

Summit Ridge Tagaytay, in my opinion, is quite good. However, there are a few things that are not my cup of tea.
Negative points:
1. This is my main concern. I found myself waking up every hour, especially when noisy vehicles passed by. Although there’s not much that can be done about it, I had to wear noise-cancelling headphones while sleeping.
2. Breakfast selection is just average. Enough to get you through the morning.
3. The bottom part of the shower door wasn’t properly sealed, so water leaked out every time I took a shower.
4. The weirdest issue was with the water. The faucet water for brushing teeth and washing my face smelled fine, but sometimes the shower water had a slightly unpleasant odor. Not dirty, just odd.
Positive points:
1. My favorite thing about Summit Ridge Tagaytay is the view. I love that they have a sky lounge where you can take clear photos of Taal Lake. During the day, you can enjoy the lake view, and in the evening, you can capture a beautiful golden hour.
2. Great access to supermarkets, restaurants, and many other good spots nearby.
3. Free drinking water is a nice plus.

I had a wonderful stay at this 4-star hotel. The front desk team was friendly, professional, and very accommodating from the moment I arrived. They made everything easy and comfortable.

It was a good thing na malamig ang panahon or else babaha ang buong unit due to aircon leakage. Pagna-on leak agad at ang lakas pa, basa buong floor. Reached out dito at sa caretaker but was provided mga basahan only kasi wala daw maintenance at wala nang ibang unit na mapaglipatan. We were also told na di dapat ioopen ang unit but due to high demand, they did. Wala namang problem if you want to earn but make sure hindi macompromise andmg stay ng guests. It was waaay beyond inconvenience at may kids pa which is delikado ang madulas na sahig. Never again and will never recommend.FromUS$20
