Excellent location and friendly hardworking staff. But this is one of the worst hotel I have stayed in. The room has the necedsary furniture but they are run.down. The owner apparently only cares about himself. For an example I have posted a photo of curtain with holes. The bed was firm but ok. The bathroom was actually not bad. Only strange thing was that there was no toilet roll holder. There never was one as there are no holes on the wall either. Housekeeping worked hard but with the state of the room, there's only so much they can do.
The breakfast was strange. If something ran out they are instructed not to refill I guess. Even the coffee machine just gives you a slightly coloured water.
Someone complained about bed bugs in some review, but we had no such problem.
With an excellent location, I regret to say that the hotel is in a pathetic state. As the owner only likes to count money. So sad.FromUS$22

The staff provided excellent service and the room was clean and comfortable.
Note for male guests: the shared bathroom facilities are located on the 7th and 8th floors.
The location is decent, although the walk to Taichung Railway Station MRT is a little far.

I wrote in my initial booking that this was an Anniversary trip, I was quite surprised that the hotel did not do nor acknowledge such things and that quite bothered me. First impressions do lasts and I also had an incident in their restaurant that serves buffet, where there was a insect (almost cockroach like) in the soup which was honestly very shocking for a 5 star restaurant but the recovery of how they handled was not great and no follow up was done.
Overall, I wasn’t as happy staying here as I thought I would. But I won’t definitely be coming back.FromUS$100

This could easily be the best backpack rooms I have ever stayed in. Bed is comfy with adequate personal space. There is a desk at the end of the bed, I could write my journal in my own space. There even is a huge wardrobe for u to put ur luggage and clothes. Toilet in the room is clean and photogenic. Breakfast is small but with enough varieties. Staff is very nice. Location is perfect. This hotel is in a perfect location very near to the Taichung Train Station and just a short walk to the famous Miyahara, making sightseeing and travel incredibly easy. Having a 7-Eleven nearby was also super convenient for quick snacks and essentials. Absolutely loved the breakfast buffet options, which offered a great variety of delicious choices every morning. Another huge plus was having a bathtub in the room, which was amazing to enjoy and relax in after a whole day of traveling. While it was a bit weird that the self-service laundry machines were located right by the children's playground area, the overall experience was still good and convenient. Our family always makes it a habit to find a hotel near Fengjia Night Market when we visit, and we've been doing it for years. This was our first time staying at this particular hotel, and we booked a quad room. The room was incredibly spacious, and parking was convenient. Since we checked in on a Saturday, we could have reserved the shuttle bus to Fengjia for 30 NTD per person. However, we decided to challenge ourselves to walk there and back. It was a bit of a trek, about 10-15 minutes one way, which was a little far but not unbearable. The breakfast was a buffet, and I especially enjoyed the fresh fruit and vegetable juice machine – that was super fun! Overall, I'd definitely consider staying here again. The only downside was... by the time we wanted a late-night snack, we were already too full from the night market food, so we just went downstairs for a bubble tea and headed back to the room!FromUS$72

Whenever I'm on a business trip to Taichung, I always stay here. I used to stay at the Howard Plaza Hotel next door, but ever since I discovered this place, there's been no looking back.
I love that they have a sauna, and the rooms are spacious, quiet, with a minimalist design, and an open view. The breakfast buffet is also quite good.
Once, I chatted with a guest in the elevator who turned out to be a local resident. He uses this hotel as his 'Club House,' coming here for the gym, sauna, and swimming pool – it seems like a great option for him too.FromUS$96

It was a theme park hotel. Very far from town. The hotel was not a bad one, the facilities inside are good, but it can be better for the price range. The theme park is very old, and rather run down, some equipments were closed and abandoned with rust... not a bad one, but consider the price paid, it was not value for money...will revisit if the theme park go thru major renovation.FromUS$116
