This is truly a hotel I absolutely love! First off, the environment is great. While the decor is a bit older, it's very clean. The hotel consists of two to three-story low-rise buildings, giving it a charming villa complex feel. Secondly, the service is excellent. There was no musty smell, which I had initially been concerned about. The electric blanket was always on, drying the duvet, so there was no dampness at all. The staff were all very nice, polite, and friendly. It rained heavily for the three days we were there, so there weren't many sights to see. The hotel's hot spring pool was a lifesaver, really helping to burn off the kids' energy. I chose the hotel as it is almost beside Laifengshan, the beautiful forested hill park famous for birdwatching (the hide at the top is superb), and i booked five nights. It is very large and hosts many Chinese bus tour groups. Overall happy with the stay: spacious, well-appointed rooms with good light and sound proofing between them. The Chinese-only breakfast had a ton of choice. Unfortunately, I was under the weather and didn’t try the spa. But great bed to lay sick in. Only issue is there don’t appear to be designated non-smoking rooms, but the friendly staff were helpful in finding one with only a trace of smoke.FromUS$41

This hotel was the best one I stayed at during my 10-day trip to Yunnan.
From the moment I arrived, I felt truly at home. When I checked in at the front desk, the staff immediately offered me hot flower tea. They thoughtfully informed me about the rooftop hot spring's opening hours and enthusiastically recommended local delicacies. They even brought the afternoon tea, which we had missed, to our room, really showcasing the excellent service in Tengchong.
After checking in, we went to the restaurant recommended by the front desk and then enjoyed the rooftop hot spring. The hot spring water was incredibly comfortable – my body doesn't lie! That night, I slept soundly and deeply, and my skin felt so smooth and improved. In the evening, the front desk sent up two bowls of tremella soup. Another heartwarming gesture!

Location: Situated at the foot of Yunfeng Mountain, it's just a few minutes' ride on the hotel's shuttle directly into the scenic area. Surrounded by lush mountains, you can see the peak of Yunfeng Mountain from the hotel's public areas, shaped like a pen rack, with a Ming Dynasty Taoist temple on the central summit and the Queen Mother's Palace halfway up the mountain. The culinary skills at the Yinwu Restaurant are excellent, and we all left feeling very full.

We chose Bolian for a trip with my parents. It's a rare domestic brand that's doing well. My first stay at Bolian Chongqing was truly impressive. The staff at Heshun were very nice, but unfortunately, the management wasn't great. Breakfast was a semi-buffet, and although the venue wasn't crowded, one staff member was clearly struggling on the first day. The breakfast selection was limited, and the value wasn't great. However, being able to soak in the hot springs anytime was a plus. Also, the water in the room was expired—over six months. My family accidentally drank it for two days, but luckily, nothing happened. The staff promptly apologized and provided Mid-Autumn Festival gift boxes as souvenirs. We had just spent 3 nights at this B&B and loved our stay there very much. The manager on duty, Mr Wang, picked us up from the airport. Helped us settle in. We then wandered around the ancient town, which was a very nice place to explore as well. He assisted us with booking an onsen session at another resort in the area (20-minute walk). Also helped us with booking rental car, making travel plans, booking ride to Baoshan Railway Station. He and his crew were friendly, genuinely kind, attentive, always offering to assist. It is the B&B that drives to the sulfur spring of Athaila every day. The B&B has installed equipment and removed the sulfur smell of the hot spring. It is very comfortable to soak.
