This hotel is perfectly located – right opposite the mausoleum and a 7-minute walk from the caravanserai. The hotel's exterior has an old-world charm, but the interior is completely modern. It features a spacious lobby and friendly staff. I arrived at the hotel before check-in time, planning to drop off my backpack and go for a walk. However, I ended up being checked in early. My room had a view of the caravanserai, and it was spacious and cozy, with many thoughtful touches. Housekeeping was daily, and water, tea, and coffee were provided, along with toiletries. The in-room internet was fast enough for video calls. There's also a desk and chair for a laptop. The air conditioning was quite strong; I even had to turn it off at night to avoid catching a cold. Breakfast is a buffet, diverse and tasty, served from 7 to 10 AM. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Turkestan.FromUS$48

We chose Rixos Turkestan for our trip because we had previously stayed at other hotels within the Rixos brand and had good experiences. On top of that, this hotel is rated as the #1 hotel in Turkestan. Unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing.
The hotel clearly seems understaffed. The breakfast and dinner area is planned very irrationally, with huge communal tables designed for large groups. We were unable to have breakfast because there was simply no table available for us, and sharing a table with strangers is uncomfortable for many European guests. It’s surprising that an international management team approved such a concept without considering guest comfort and cultural differences.
The service also lacked professionalism. Waiters did not know the menu, and the wine list was honestly one of the worst we have seen in a hotel of this category. We ordered 1 liter of lemonade, which was then served in a small plastic cup … a strange detail for a hotel positioning itself as luxury ((
