The accommodation is a small, simple family-style house. The bathroom is clean, with a flush toilet and good hot water. There was a little sediment from the faucet. The bed was quite hard, so I had to ask for an extra blanket or I might get back pain. There were no bathroom amenities, so I recommend bringing your own. But overall, it was okay.
The food is quite pricey. I was alone, so I ordered some dumplings. They were delicious. I couldn't finish them all, so I saved some for another meal.
The owner is lovely, friendly, and easy to talk to. However, you have to ask for details, such as which activities to do and how much they cost. I went for the 200 yen activity at the village square, which I enjoyed. The next day, we took a horse-drawn sleigh up Leymus Mountain. You have to agree on whether you want to take the sleigh to Leymus Mountain, or you'll be pulled by a horse in the village instead.
Unfortunately, there are no activities on New Year's Day. I expected there to be activities like hot water pouring, dumpling making, and so on, so it was quite quiet.

First, the pros: The villa offers a great view, right above the snow tubing track, which made the kids very happy. Staying in a detached villa also meant it was quiet. The underfloor heating worked wonderfully, keeping it very warm. The restaurant's food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. The 'Guo Bao Rou' (sweet and sour pork) was especially good; other places either charged more or offered smaller, less tasty portions for the same price. On the second day, we went to Wusongling, and there was a guide who was great at getting everyone excited, taught us how to ski, and helped with photos and videos. The 400-yuan ticket was definitely worth it. The owner and their family were all very welcoming!
Now for the cons: Upon entering the villa, there was an unpleasant smell, like fresh renovation, though the front desk said it was just the smell of wood. People sensitive to smells might want to be aware of this.FromUS$10

Big thanks to Sister Qiu for always responding to our inquiries and to the boss, Hongbo, for the warm hospitality and care. We had a very comfortable and fun four-day, three-night stay (Dec 27-30) in Snow Valley. The warm beds, hot meals, and enjoying all the entertainment activities in Snow Valley and Snow Village gave our group of four an extraordinary winter experience.
At Xiongling in Snow Valley, we tried snowmobiling, snow tubing, skiing, and snow drifting (super thrilling!).
**Friendly reminder**: Please wear sunglasses, a mask, and a snow hat. This will help prevent the cold snow from hitting your face when you're snow drifting. The snow hitting your face is incredibly, unbelievably cold!
For the Yangcaoshan itinerary, I recommend buying tickets for the horse-drawn sled and taking the snowmobile all the way up the mountain. Hiking would be a very long and time-consuming distance. For the second half, we opted to hike down to Snow Village, and the snow scenery along the way was absolutely spectacular, perfect for photos. You can also buy a small sled to enjoy some exciting mini snow runs on the way down.

Two families with kids stayed at Ding Shu's place for 4 nights.
The rooms were small but very clean. The owner mentioned they plan to expand the guesthouse this year.
The owner helped us book everything: round-trip car service, tickets, snowmobiles, and horse-drawn sleds. The prices here are standardized, so no worries about overpaying. The owner drove us to the starting point for the horse-drawn sledding. Ding Shu also personally guided us throughout our trip to Wusong Ridge, accompanying us for all activities and explaining how to get down the mountain. We chose to sled down, which was great fun! Ding Shu even helped us take photos and videos!
The auntie's cooking was absolutely delicious!!! And seeing that we were a large group, she gave us extra portions, and the prices were very reasonable!!
Since we stayed for many days, the breakfast was a bit repetitive every morning. However, the auntie made us fried eggs and even cooked a bowl of noodles for my friend – thank you!
We could also WeChat scan to order milk tea, which the milk tea shop would deliver. They also had fried chicken popcorn and fries. The milk tea was delicious; I ordered it and coffee every day.
The owner gave us lots of great tips for our itinerary. Behind the guesthouse, there's a small hill perfect for playing in the snow, with a slope for sledding. The kids played there all day. This whole area belongs to the owner, and it's not crowded, which was perfect for us. When the kids were tired, needed to use the restroom, or wanted to drink water and rest, they could just go back to the guesthouse anytime – it was right there! How convenient! I think this is very important!
We played on Yangcao Mountain and then went to Snow Town. We were so glad we didn't stay in Snow Town and decided that next time, we'd sled from the top of Yangcao Mountain back to Snow Valley.

The inn is super cozy and welcoming. The staff is super friendly and it really felt like being at home!
The place is decorated so beautifully and we built a cute snowman! I can also really recommend to climb over the yang cao shan mountain. It was a lot of fun!

This was my first time in Wuchang, and I chose the only four-star hotel on Ctrip. Because of a severe cold, I was very sensitive to smoke and other irritants. The front desk arranged a smoking room, which they had made smoke-free, but the smell of smoke was still strong, so I got upset with them. In the end, I chose a quieter room on the third floor. The room's decor and facilities were nice, and the bedding was comfortable. There were only two complimentary bottles of mineral water in the room; more cost 2 yuan per bottle. There were no tea or coffee bags in the room.
The breakfast restaurant was bright and clean, and the staff were quick to serve and clear dishes. The waitress cooking noodles was friendly and patient. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, but the ingredients were fresh, and I was satisfied with what I had. However, it was a pity that they didn't provide coffee for breakfast, not even a large pot of pre-brewed coffee… Jinshan Park is opposite the hotel, which is nice for a stroll. There aren't many shopping areas around the hotel, so dining and shopping aren't very convenient. We took a taxi to the city for dinner, but taxis were hard to find, so we drove ourselves.FromUS$35
