Big shout out to our butler! They gave us such a pleasant surprise~ Our room was upgraded to an ocean view, which delighted both the kids and us parents. Even though we were right by the sea, the soundproofing was excellent. The hotel has a ton of facilities that kept the kids entertained, like the mini-train, children's playground, and the hotel pool. The beach right in front of the hotel was super convenient for the kids to dig in the sand, look for treasures, and go surfing. Being able to shower immediately after coming back was a huge plus – if the kids are happy, it's perfect! The hotel also provided a complimentary travel photo shoot. We took a bunch of great pictures around some of the hotel's iconic spots. Especially with sunglasses on and a dress, every shot looked amazing, and the filters were fantastic! The location is perfect ; it is walking distance to South Beach, where we could see the “blue tears” phenomenon.
However, the check-in time took a bit long. It is indeed an old hotel, and the cleanliness is just so-so. I am not sure if there is mold on the ceiling, but there are some black spots. The room is not soundproof, so we could hear noise from other guests in another room all night. We had a hard time sleeping. Our friends who stayed in another room said there were many mosquitoes in their room, so they did not get enough sleep.
