Our room was at the top, offering unobstructed views of the mountains from several angles. It was the first hotel after climbing the hill in front of the bus station to Changping. We were traveling alone with our 10-year-old child. The hotel's hostess was the most lovely, fast-working, cheerful and lively woman. She helped us with everything, from small matters to big ones, like missing our bus to Chengdu. We stayed here for three nights and slept comfortably every night. The food in the restaurant was delicious, with many flowers blooming outside the windows. The cook was very kind. Even though we couldn't communicate clearly, she helped us with everything. I kept thinking, either they're paid exceptionally well, have a stake in the business, or they've just started their first job. If none of those are true, then the boss really needs to give them a raise. Enthusiasm without a pay raise is fleeting. Also, the restaurant food is quite good. I ate there for two days, and the service auntie was wonderful, constantly busy and serving like a top – she deserves a raise too. Parking, however, might be stressful for new drivers. Other than that, everything is as expected. The hotel has beautiful decor and clean rooms, with a stunning mountain view from the window. The underfloor heating was excellent, making the environment much better than expected. It's quite a large property, and there's even an observation deck within the hotel grounds, so you can enjoy the scenery without having to hike.

Excellent! It's probably the closest guesthouse to Shuangqiaogou Scenic Area with diffused oxygen supply. It's located on a hillside, not by the road, so it's quiet and peaceful. I couldn't resist washing my hair at night and didn't experience altitude sickness. The room's oxygen supply dropped my altitude to 2300, which was very worthwhile. Driving here from Chengdu, I originally only planned to stay for one night as a stopover, but it far exceeded my expectations. The location is incredibly convenient, right by Jiajin Haizi Lake, and it's only a twenty-minute drive to Shuangqiao Valley. Changping Valley isn't too far either, so you don't have to rush in the morning for hiking on your second day. The manor is a new-style ******* fortified building, blending seamlessly with the lake and grasslands, which is aesthetically very pleasing. The room hygiene was excellent, with every corner spotless. The hotel's service is particularly noteworthy; the butler called in advance to confirm our arrival time, and at the parking lot, the security guard proactively helped us with our luggage. The attention to detail was impressive. The breakfast was truly abundant, with a buffet selection and super delicious freshly cooked noodles, as well as local qingke cakes and butter tea. The B&B boasts an excellent location right within the Changping Valley scenic area. The rooms and the restaurant directly face all four peaks of Siguniang Mountain, with the 'Little Sister Peak' (Yaomei Peak) being particularly prominent. We were incredibly lucky to witness snow-capped mountains, a starry sky, and even a glimpse of the 'Golden Mountain Bathed in Sunlight' (Rizhao Jinshan).
The B&B rooms are well-equipped, featuring underfloor heating, oxygen generators, and humidifiers. The underfloor heating was constantly on, ensuring the room was warm the moment we stepped in. The decor was cozy, and each room had a private courtyard, perfect for relaxing and unwinding. Although I didn't dare use the bathtub at this altitude, it seemed to be of high quality and very clean. A comprehensive set of good quality disposable toiletries was provided, along with complimentary snacks, beverages, and fruits.
The B&B offers three meals a day. Breakfast was rich and varied; both the rice noodles and regular noodles were delicious. The Sichuan fermented tofu with plain congee was particularly excellent. On our second day, when we visited Haizigou where there are no dining options, they even packed us a simple lunch for free. The freshly ground coffee at breakfast was also a nice touch. The ******* hot pot for dinner was quite good and warmed us up. They also offered simple Chinese dishes and pizza.
What truly stood out was the service – incredibly thoughtful and responsive. All our requests were met. They provided car pick-up and drop-off to designated locations, saving us the worry of driving on mountain roads ourselves, which was a huge plus for female drivers. They actively helped with luggage, bringing it directly to our room. On the day we checked in, we had first traveled from Jiaju to Shuangqiao Valley, arriving at the B&B quite late. Overall, my experience was pretty good. The hotel's design and facilities were nice, and the location was excellent.
I did find a few small spiders in the room, but being in the mountains, that's understandable and hard to avoid.
I really enjoyed the afternoon tea. The yak buffet for dinner was also quite good. Breakfast, however, was just okay; there weren't many options, and when I went a bit later, some of the food was already cold. It would be perfect if they could include some of the pastries from afternoon tea in the breakfast spread.
