This guesthouse has a really great location 👍, near the Nostalgia Market, just a 10-15 minute drive from Wanfenglin Scenic Area. There's a banana tree avenue right next to the guesthouse, full of small banana trees, which was quite a novelty for northerners.
Overall, the hygiene and environment were acceptable. While the slippers weren't disposable, they were disinfected and packed in bags.
The owner was incredibly warm and cheerful. My family of four, including elderly relatives and a child, was very kind to have a room on the ground floor, which was both convenient and quiet.

Absolutely amazing! Traveling off-peak was definitely the right decision. Although I missed the rapeseed flowers, the guesthouse I booked completely exceeded my expectations. The owner contacted us in advance, thoughtfully asking if I had a car and reserving a parking space for me. They even helped me with my luggage. Kudos to the young lady for her service—small body, big strength! As soon as I arrived, she recommended several good restaurants. I stayed in a basic room type on the evening of June 6th. The room wasn't huge, but the layout was very comfortable, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The dry and wet separation in the bathroom was excellent. However, every time I wanted hot water, I had to run it for ten minutes before it reached 40 degrees Celsius. The first time, I didn't know and thought there was no hot water, so I called the front desk. Upon check-in, they provided a plate of fruit and a plate of small pastries. While a bit simple, I can't complain at this price point. For breakfast, they offered both Chinese and Western options, including salads, cold dishes, hot dishes, grain porridge, soy milk, coffee, black tea, and more. There was also a live noodle station with rice noodles and regular noodles, served with Guizhou's signature sour soup.
Service:
During check-in, there was a lovely lady and a friendly gentleman at the front desk. Both were very proactive and enthusiastic, even offering to help us with our luggage – truly service-minded! The waitstaff in the restaurant were also all smiles on the few occasions we visited.

The hotel has a restaurant, laundry room (washer and dryer), and a gym. What's particularly noteworthy are the fourth-floor terrace and the observation deck next to the hotel. The hotel faces the street and is next to a plaza, so the environment is decent, and it's convenient for shopping and dining nearby. The hotel facilities are okay, but I haven't seen high-floor windows without protective barriers in a long time. I was really disappointed with the hotel breakfast; the dining area is too narrow and cramped. With so many people eating, I kept bumping into chairs and worried about hitting others. Wontons were already gone just past 8 AM, and the food supply was insufficient. The overall service was poor, mainly due to staff shortages. We had booked a tour bus, and they kept saying it was almost there, but it never arrived. After waiting for over 40 minutes, we had to yell at the front desk, and finally they said the bus had gone to refuel… Out of desperation, we questioned the front desk whether, if this caused delays to our entire trip, we would also be given a delayed check-out, just like with service delays. Immediately, a staff member drove us around themselves… This service is something for others to judge 😂. This charming guesthouse is nestled mid-slope in Xia Na Hui Village, offering a more elevated position and therefore superior views compared to other accommodations nearby. From our room, we enjoyed breathtaking panoramic vistas of the Ten Thousand Peaks Forest and the picturesque village below. The evenings were wonderfully peaceful and quiet.
It's about a pleasant 10-15 minute stroll to the village's central dining area. Alternatively, you can rent an electric scooter, and they'll even drop you off directly at the guesthouse entrance!
Our room was incredibly spacious and spotlessly clean, with a thoughtfully designed layout and natural wood accents that perfectly complemented the relaxing vacation vibe. The ground floor entrance opens into a lovely small courtyard, featuring complimentary parking and a convenient EV charging pile (it's a slow charge, but very handy!). Plus, there are two adorable, friendly large dogs to greet you!
Both the second and third-floor terraces boast comfortable lounge areas for guests to relax. For breakfast, you can choose between noodles or rice vermicelli – I highly recommend the vermicelli, it was absolutely delicious!
Overall, the service throughout our stay was exceptionally thoughtful and attentive. Before check-in, they proactively contacted me with detailed directions and local sightseeing tips. The best thing about the place is the location. You can walk to the fields and easily drive anywhere you need to go in the area.
The car park only fits six cars. The decor makes the rooms seem run down. Bugs can come in through the cracks of the front doors. There’s no soundproofing and heard someone talking very loudly for a long time, as if lecturing two children, when I wanted to rest. Breakfast was terrible, with some dishes not tasting good and guests having to find staff to ask for refills. No water provided at breakfast.
