Guoji Hotel must be one of the older, more established hotels in Yanji. The room was spacious, and the furnishings had that classic, old-school hotel style with dark red furniture, but nothing felt particularly worn out. The only issue was that the room door was a bit heavy and hard to open and close. Because I left a note when booking, they assigned us a high-floor room very close to the elevator, with a direct view of the river from the window. The hotel is really huge though; I got lost several times at the beginning! The front desk staff were all very friendly and smiling, gave lollipops to the kids, and thoughtfully provided us with the hotel's own compiled tourist map and food guide. All in all, it was a great stay with no regrets, and I'd definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Yanji.FromUS$49

The hotel's front desk service was warm and attentive, and the location is fantastic, right next to the famous 'influencer wall.' It's just a 2-minute walk out the door and to the left. It was around 26 degrees in the room, but they had a policy of no air-conditioners operating at this time of year.
The air-conditioner was recording the temperature.
Their solution was for us to open a window, but then the noise and pollution was a factor.
They eventually provided a stand-up fan which did not completely resolve the issue.

I came to Yanji with friends on a self-driving trip, and the hotel's large private parking lot made parking super convenient. The lobby is spacious, the room is simple and clean, and essential toiletries are all provided. It offers great value for money. The location is absolutely fantastic, right behind the famous 'influencer wall' (网红墙), and it wasn't as crowded as online reviews suggested during our visit. The location is very good, next to the Burhatong River, you can see the river view from the window, you can also take a cruise by the river, and there is a morning market by the river in the morning to buy breakfast. Not far from Yanbian University and the net red wall. There is a fresh supermarket across the road, open until ten o'clock in the evening, you can buy fruit and snacks. I had a great time in Yánjí since I planned a lot of border excursions. I can speak both Korean and Chinese comfortably to navigate this region, which is also known as the Third Korea. The location of this place was great since it was in the city center across from Yanji University. (I was assigned room 1206.)
I'm not sure which photos they're using for advertising, but my room looked far more beat up and outdated. I also killed a lot of small cockroaches that were roaming around the kitchenette area. Again, this was not a big deal for me since they weren't ginormous, but one huge cockroach did appear one day near the bathroom. It's one thing for the room to look somewhat different from the advertised photos, but please at least keep the space much cleaner. (The laundry machine was bonus, but I had to buy laundry soap next door at the convenience store. This should have been provided considering there was an empty soap box on the floor next to the machine.) The reason why I booked this place was to do frequent laundry rather than stay at a hotel...
I traveled from NYC, so it wasn't like I was an average Chinese tourist from a domestic region. This was my first visit to China since 1996.05 and I used my 10-year China visa for the first time since I applied back in 2017.08.
Note: I checked out the other rooms on the floor and they were much nicer than what I booked. I'm guessing those were listed on WeChat and the less attractive rooms are listed on here, etc.

Good location, across the road is the park, the night view is beautiful. The floating market and the net red wall are one stop and within walking distance. I stayed for one night and encountered a power transmission box on fire and power outage all night. This Hampton by Hilton in downtown Yanji is very conveniently located. It's within walking distance to West Market, and a taxi ride to the Korean Folk Culture Village is also a reasonable distance. The room amenities are quite new, and the electric curtains and smart toilet provided a good experience. During my stay, the hotel was almost fully booked, so the shower pressure from the rainfall showerhead was a bit low at night, and the internet occasionally disconnected. I had originally planned to stay at the Mehood Lestie, which just opened across the street this year. However, when we arrived, there was a power outage! The hotel lobby is on the 6th floor, so the elevators weren't working, and no one answered the front desk phone. So, despite all the glowing online reviews, I immediately cut my losses and switched hotels, which is how I serendipitously ended up at Atour. As always, Atour's quality and management are excellent. They have a laundry room, gym, and even a late-night congee service. My only complaint this time is that the Deluxe Twin Room I stayed in was exceptionally small, so small that it instantly reminded me of hotel rooms in Japan. If I have the chance to stay here again, I won't book a Deluxe room; I'll only book an Executive room (P.S. The room in the picture is an Executive room).FromUS$44

I stayed in Yanji for 3 days and booked 3 different hotels. This one was the most expensive, but neither the environment nor the service was the best. I wanted to turn on the tatami heating, but they never did, claiming safety concerns. So, was the tatami just for decoration then? I just wanted it to be warm enough because I was worried my back would get cold at night. The air conditioning was directly above the bed, and lying there, I felt the cold air blowing right on me. It wasn't particularly hot that night, so I didn't turn on the AC. If it had been hot, I probably would have caught a cold sleeping with it on all night.
There were three of us, and I wanted an extra pillow. The staff told me there were already four pillows on the bed in the room and didn't provide one. This is the first time I've ever heard of a hotel refusing an extra pillow. We booked a triple room, a family room, which usually means each person gets two pillows. I only asked for one more, and they still refused. Overall, the stay was just very average. The experience wasn't even as good as the Hanting Hotel I stayed in on the first night.🤣
P.S. The Hanting Hotel I booked was also a triple room and they directly provided six pillows, so I didn't need to ask for any.
If you're going to the Folk Culture Village, staying here is very convenient as you can enter and exit by just swiping your room card. The overall attitude of the staff was quite good. It really depends on what you're looking for.FromUS$124

Although the room is not big, the facilities are complete and clean, welcome special fruits, our four adults also specially presented a breakfast, the front desk lady is warm, the lobby waiter is tall and handsome, the most important thing is that it is too enthusiastic, all things are for me to take, big bags, small bags, I am embarrassed for a lot.
