The room was clean and tidy, located opposite the visitor center parking lot, inside Meiyuan Old Street. The owner was warm and hospitable, providing brochures with travel tips for Yunhe Terraces. The backyard of the guesthouse had a beautiful view.
We upgraded to a room with a signboard because there were extra rooms available. A word of advice: regardless of which guesthouse you choose, try to avoid rooms with signs, as they can be very bright. I didn't mind, so I slept in that room. If you sleep late, it's not a problem, as the signboard will turn off later. The main issue was that I went to bed early, and there were other guests around 10 pm, so the soundproofing wasn't great. However, these issues are acceptable for late sleepers.
Another suggestion for those driving to Yunhe Terraces: don't choose guesthouses near the visitor center. Choose ones near the Nine-Bend Cloud Ring (九曲云环) area for convenience. This B&B is absolutely the best spot in Yunhe Rice Terraces! Yunyi's Courtyard is a gorgeous all-wood villa with incredible quality, located right next to the sunrise and cloud sea viewing platform. It's just a 10-minute walk to the scenic area entrance, and the villa is directly opposite the exit. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies offering direct views of the terraced fields and cloud sea. The housekeeper is attentive and the service is excellent.
