Location: On the quiet mountainside, be sure to get off at the Gora Cable Car Station on the right! Otherwise, I would be completely confused. It’s quite strenuous to go up the mountain, the slope is a bit steep😂. It takes about 8-10 minutes to walk to Sounzan Cable Car Station. It is a hilly road and it is not a fast walk. Small suggestion: If there is no direct bus back to the hotel from Motohakone Port, you need to transfer by car. You can take a taxi directly from the transfer station for JPY860, which takes 5-8 minutes. It is convenient and saves time! Environment: It is what a hot spring hotel looks like in my mind. It brings back all my memories of cartoons and Japanese dramas. The room is quite spacious and the bed is quite big. There is no need for an extra bed when bringing a child aged 6-8 years old, but the hotel defaults to it. Charged as an adult😂 Hot spring: It is a real hot spring. The hotel provides bathrobes, but there are no children's models. The hot spring pool is small and has a slight sulfur smell. It is divided into male and female hot springs, inner and outer hot springs. It's very windy outside in winter, so I chose to go indoors😅, and there won't be many people. Basically, the venue is reserved for soaking, and there are only 10 groups of guests staying in the hotel. Meals: The one-berth, two-food package is very cost-effective. You can choose the time for dining, 8:00/8:30 in the morning and 18:00/18:30 in the evening. In fact, there are fixed seats arranged according to the number of people, with the room number next to it. The food is rich and tastes good. This is my first time eating early in the morning. Everyone in the entire restaurant was quiet and elegant, and eating with a naughty child made me very stressed. After the meal, the staff bowed and thanked everyone, which was really polite 😂 Service: The hotel proprietress and boss were very polite. They arrived early to store our luggage. After checking out the next day, they took us to Gora Station to take the bus. My English is not very good, but it does not hinder communication. On the day of check-in, there were only locals and European and American tourists. Hakone is my favorite place during this trip and I look forward to coming back next time❤️

Late comments, service is in place, the hotel sent a car to the station to pick us up. The breakfast is exquisite and an extra bed can also be added. (I especially want to recommend the kaiseki for dinner is great.)

It was a very quiet and private ryokan located in a small glass. The Kaiseki set meal was also great. The breakfast was also neat and home-style. However, it was a bit disappointing that the view from the room was a construction view.

I'm leaving a review of my two-night stay alone in a double room. Location: Shinjuku - Hakone-Yumoto Station (Romancecar/1 hour 20 minutes) - Ryokan (J-Line bus/40-50 minutes). The Romancecar ride is convenient. If you take the J-Line bus, it's crowded, so you'll have to stand. When checking out, ask the receptionist and they'll give you a ride back to the station. Cleanliness: The bedding, closet, and bathroom were clean. The onsen had a timeless feel. The view was beautiful, and I was satisfied. However, as with other reviews, the building itself is generally old. Dead bugs were visible throughout the room, including the window frames, the onsen, and the top of the refrigerator. They didn't clean the areas that weren't directly used. It was full of dust. It was obvious, but they didn't seem to clean it. Service: The service was excellent. All the staff were friendly and courteous, and they even offered room service. However!! Only the two people at the counter were Japanese; 99.9% of the staff were foreigners. There were foreigners serving the room, foreigners setting the futons, foreigners preparing the food, and foreigners I just happened to run into. I felt like I was in a Japanese ryokan in a different country, not in Japan. It's cheaper than other ryokans in the area, but if you're looking for a Japanese sensibility and a romantic ryokan experience, I recommend a different place. The only thing you really need to do here is the hot springs. Meals: Ryokans are expensive, so it's a cycle of hot springs, meals, and hot springs. Meals are very important. The meals here aren't delicious or satisfying. The food is good value for the price. I ate all the meals during my two-night stay, but the side dishes were similar for breakfast and dinner, and the menu was almost identical. Fortunately, dinner on the second night was different. They gave me a lot of rice! (I'm attaching a photo: Dinner - Breakfast - Dinner - Breakfast / I booked a room for two, so the meals were for two people...) Facilities: The hot spring sink and toilet bidet were clean and nice. The bathroom alone was very clean. The wooden floor in the room was partially sunken, and the window door was stiff and didn't open easily. As for the other facilities and fixtures, think of them as an old country house. Summary: Most of the guests are foreigners, and the building is old, so it's recommended for budget travelers. If you want to experience a traditional Japanese ryokan, I recommend going elsewhere. ^^
