Located right above Nagoya Station, this hotel has been around for over 10 years, but its facilities are so well-maintained, it still feels brand new. The best part is the incredible convenience for getting around; you can hop on the subway, JR, or Shinkansen directly, saving a lot on taxi fares. The famous Takashimaya department store is also in the same building, spanning floors 1 to 11, with floors 12 and 13 dedicated to dining, offering a wide array of Nagoya's culinary delights.

Location is good, with 7-11 nearby (but this brach is always crowded at night, probably because nearcrestaurants and station). But the location is highly recommended. I got 30 inches hard luggage, cannot lay it in front of the bathroom as the door always struck with the luggage as they are at same level. (But your luggage maybe not same as mine) I hope the staff could have helped us reserve the restaurant in Ise that we were going to on the next day. But they could not help reserving with the reason that they cannot guarantee my arrival time to the restaurant...which it should be my responsibility, not the hotel. It is understandable that the hotel does not want to take risk, just wonder if it could be better handling this issue in future.

Sanco Inn Nagoya I recently stayed at Sanco Inn Nagoya, and overall it was a very pleasant experience, especially for a short trip. 👍 Pros Excellent Location The hotel’s location is one of its biggest advantages. It’s very close to Nagoya Station, which makes it extremely convenient for transportation, whether you’re arriving by Shinkansen or exploring the city. Getting around was easy and stress-free. Plenty of Restaurants Nearby There are many restaurants within walking distance, offering a wide range of options—from local Japanese cuisine to international food. It was nice to have so many dining choices just steps away from the hotel. Convenience Store Nearby There’s also a mini shop (convenience store) close to the hotel, which was very handy. We could easily grab snacks, drinks, or small essentials anytime. Good Breakfast The breakfast was surprisingly good. There was a wide variety of dishes, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. It was a great way to start the day before heading out to explore. 👎 Cons Small Room Size The only downside was that the room was quite small. However, this is quite common in Japan. For us, it wasn’t a big issue since we mainly used the room just to sleep at night. ⭐ Overall If you’re looking for a clean, convenient, and well-located hotel near Nagoya Station, Sanco Inn Nagoya is a great choice. It’s especially suitable for short stays or travelers who prioritize location and practicality over room size. I would definitely consider staying here again.

The room was much better than the provided pictures, and the facilities were complete. The most important thing was that the transportation and shopping were very convenient and economical. The hotel should provide more pictures of the exterior (to make it easier for guests to find the rooms).
