This is an older hotel. The first room I was given didn't have a great view, but after communicating in Japanese, they kindly moved me to one with a better orientation, which was nice. The breakfast was just so-so; there weren't many people eating, probably because it's not great value for money. The hotel's location is excellent, surrounded by shopping malls. As an older hotel, I really liked the carpet and decor connecting the first and second floors; it has a lot of character!

Service: Self check-in and check-out is available with multi-language options on the machines. It seems many hotels in Japan are now offering this service. The hotel staff were also very helpful and answered all our questions. Location: It's about a 6-7 minute walk from Yokohama Station. Compared to hotels within the Tokyo area, the rooms here are significantly larger. If you're planning trips to Kamakura, Fuji, or Atami, I think this Yokohama hotel makes for an excellent hub. My only minor complaint would be the longer-than-average wait times for the elevators.

First, let's talk about the pros: 1. Convenient transportation: From Narita Airport T3, you can directly buy a bus ticket to YCAT, then it's just a 10-minute walk to the hotel. 2. Easy shopping: There's a convenience store on the first floor, great for daily supplies. Takashimaya and other commercial buildings are right behind and nearby, about a ten-minute detour. 3. Multiple subway lines: Getting anywhere is a breeze. Regarding the hotel: On the 2nd floor, there's a coin-operated washer/dryer combo that accepts WeChat Pay, costing around 25 RMB. There's also a free ice machine. The rooms even have bathtubs (grab some bath bombs or bath salts from Don Quijote to soothe your body after walking 20,000 steps daily). Now for the cons: Our room faced the railway. For both nights we stayed, we were woken up around 7 AM daily (short intervals, a train every one or two minutes?!). It wasn't until around 11 PM, when the train traffic lessened, that we could finally get some quiet sleep. (The soundproofing was non-existent). The room was also incredibly tiny (a bit cramped for two adults and one child). I'm glad I didn't bring a stroller, otherwise there would have been no space to even walk.
