#2023travelwish Odori Park (大通公園, Ōdōri Kōen) is a park located in the heart of Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. Ōdōri (大通) means "large street" in Japanese. I took some pictures around the TV Tower. It feels good to take a walk! When the weather is nice, it's a place where you can take a rest. I wish I can come back again to Hokkaido in year 2023. #hokkaido #sapporo #friendstrip #2015

Getting there: The Odori Park is just beside Odori Subway Station or a ten minute walk south of JR Sapporo Station. Highlights: The Odori Park is a park located in the heart of Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. It stretches east to west for about 1.5 kilometers and divides the city into north and south sections. At the eastern end of Odori Park stands the Sapporo TV Tower, which has an observation deck with nice views of the park and the surrounding city. The tower is just under 150 meters tall, and the observation deck is at an elevation of 90 meters. During the evening the tower is illuminated, making it an attractive landmark. Odori Park Christmas Market, Sapporo - Japan: A small Christmas market near to Sapporo TV Tower. There are some souvenirs, snacks and foods selling there which we havd to eat outdoors nearby the shops. This is a lovely place to visit. #merrychristmas

Sapporo Snow Festival is a must visit during winter in February at Odori Park. You can see many snow sculptures here from building, Doraemon, Pokemon and many more. We arrived on the last weekend of the festival so it was very busy and some the smaller sculptures had started to melt but the scale was impressive. Best in my mind was the Helsinki Cathedral and the JR display which used video onto the sculpture to make it look like it was moving. Huge variety of food and drink available all around the festival and also live music on a couple of stages. We spent an hour watching a popular local band who had all their fans dancing in sync. #givethanks #givethanks

The food and drink festival is on for the month. Huge choice of food and drink. Stall prices are all similar - not cheap but reasonable. Everyone was so friendly and limited English made it a fun interaction as my Japanese is rubbish........such a good time with smiles all round #GiveThanks

It has become the neon lighting of the poems of all over Japan in the winter. In fact, the Sapporo White Lantern Festival is the birthplace of Japanese neon lighting. It is held in three locations in Sapporo City, and there will be some lights and chapters during the event. At Christmas time, the Sapporo Munich Christmas Market will be held in Odori Park 2, and the lighting time of neon lighting will be extended. As long as you walk to Odori Park, you will be attracted by the lights. Along the line, there is a Christmas market and a festival of lights. The background of the Christmas market is the Sapporo Tower, which feels like a place in the love story. The White Light Tree Festival is separated from the Christmas Market by a road. When you are surrounded by many, many lights, you will magically create a feeling of happiness. There is a Japanese song on the square, which is a Japanese TV drama.
