The mussels were fabulous, the spaghetti divine and the Gnocchi tasted great. Love from the Aussies..... We will see you again in October.
We travel to and from Greece twice a year on average, and usually travel via Ancona or Venice taking the ferry to Igoumenitsa Greece, then on to the Island of Lefkada. We first discovered this fabulous restaurant by chance, having arrived at the ticket office at Ancona port. Feeling hungry and having a few hours to use up prior to our ferry leaving, noticed that there appeared to be snack bar/cafe upstairs above the ticket office. So we wended our way to the top of the stairs, saw to our right a fast food snack bar/cafe and to the left what appeared to be a restaurant….. We entered what is an aesthetically pleasing restaurant, took a table for two and on the advice of the proprietor/owner had a local Ancona fish dish which was an absolute delight. Service was good, local wine cheap and very pleasant, clean toilets, and all in all a calming and delightful way to relax after a long drive to the port before departing on the ferry. We visited this restaurant again this year and were not disappointed. I highly recommend this eatery, and there is somehow a charm about the bemusement of finding something so eloquent above a busy metropolitan ticket office in the port of Ancona….'you'd never know it' or believe it until you find it and enjoy their culinary delights.
The ice cream that had just arrived has melted in a short time. The price is also the most expensive.
